  Love cupcakes!

  I am so happy I decided on blackbird sweets. planned a destination wedding and Andrea was amazing and put me at ease. We arrived 2 days before and stopped in. We were able to taste our cake before hand and I cannot believe how awesome it tasted. I strongly suggest crumb cake favors. Everyone is still raving about the cake and crumb cakes.

  Delicious, delicious, delicious

  Andrea at Blackbird Sweets is amazing at what she does! She was so professional and helpful from the very beginning, even when we needed a cake tasting to go! My husband and I were able to stop in and get a 6-pack of cupcakes to try the flavors we were considering. She was also helpful at coaching which cake was good for weddings and which weren't. For example, I love red velvet, but if any crumbs were to fall on my wedding dress, she advised they would instantly stain. Our wedding cake was gorgeous! We sent her a bunch of pictures of things we liked and let her know our colors, but told her to do her thing and she did not disappoint! The cake was so moist and delicious and the option to have two flavors was enjoyed by all of our guests! We went with the confetti cake and chocolate chip cake. She was able to do extra sheet cakes for serving since the tiered cake wouldn't have been enough, and we had enough to keep our top tier to freeze for our first anniversary! We don't live in Buffalo currently, but we will definitely be stopping into Blackbird Sweets for cupcakes anytime we're in town! Could not recommend more!

  Andrea worked with us to find exactly what we wanted. We went in and tried several of her cupcakes and couldn't decide on just one for our guests so for our wedding she made our favorite flavors - the lemon, chocolate raspberry, and the dove (white cake, butter cream frosting, and salted caramel drizzled on top). Everyone LOVED them and kept saying they couldn't decide on which flavor was their favorite. I'm not a huge chocolate fan, but the chocolate was delicious. Our wedding cake was the lemon and it looked beautiful with burlap around the center tier and real fresh cut flowers. It made our day to know we were in Andrea's capable hands. <3 our cake!!!

  I have ordered cakes and cupcakes from Blackbirds Sweets for many occasions. When it came to may wedding someone offered to make my cake. Just 14 days before the wedding, they cancelled. I immediately messaged Andrea and asked for her help. Not only was she able to do my wedding cake, she was able to create the perfect cake I was imagining on such a short notice. I am so happy I went with Blackbird Sweets for my wedding cake!

  I used Blackbird Sweet for our Groom's Cupcakes. I had the design in mind for a golf green and emailed the picture to Andrea, who was happy to accommodate. She was a pleasure to work with and I loved the chance to support local small business. She did a mix of chocolate and vanilla cupcakes with buttercream frosting, which were delicious!

  Andrea at blackbirds sweets was just the best!! From the moment we met her at the tasting, we were huge fans of the cupcakes and her personality overall. The cakes/cupcakes were incredible and she is up for any challenge in design or for flavor challenge!! She was very responsive via email and with calls.
  
  She was flexible with us changing our order for different cupcakes and stepped up the plate hugely when I requested a huge rice krispy treat in the shape of the Buffalo Bills symbol which turned out perfectly!

  Andrea was wonderful to work with. She was willing to try whatever we had in mind. She was professional and creative. Always easy to communicate with. The cake was beautiful and delicious.

  Blackbird Sweets provided our funfetti wedding cake, apple pie bars, peanut butter brownies, regular brownies, and a bunch of different mini cupcakes for our wedding. From the first meeting, I was hooked. We tried a bunch of different flavors (and truth be told, I went back with my maid of honor a couple days late to grab a half dozen other flavors to try), and finally decided that we couldn't possibly choose; we went with a variety of different sweets so our guests could choose for themselves. The tasting cupcakes were huge so we could really get a good cake-to-frosting ratio, the cupcakes were moist and flavorful, and our wedding cake was absolutely lovely. Together with our florist, they created something out of the Pinterest board of my dreams after only a few emails and photos back and forth to discuss our vision for the final product. Regrettably I wasn't able to try the brownies or apple pie bars at the wedding because I was full from all the other delicious sweets, but my guests couldn't stop raving about them. All the desserts were displayed at our venue so beautifully they were practically part of the decor. My husband and I were so pleased with how everything turned out for our big day. I will continue to recommend Blackbird Sweets to my friends and family for any special occasion (or even just to stop in for a treat). Thank you, Andrea !!

  It was a pleasure to have Andrea make my daughter's wedding cake. We went to several bakeries for samples of wedding cake which is the one thing my son-in-law insisted on being a part of. Well this is a small business and the availability of flavors was outstanding! The top layer was lavender with the other 3 layers the traditional almond and the groom's cake was red velvet - all absolutely delicious and melt in your mouth moist! The frosting was our requested combination cream cheese and vanilla bean - perfect! They could not decide on the design so they left it up to Andrea and it was beautiful and elegant with just the right amount of bling! The compliments and the requests to know who made the cake was daunting! One of my concerns was having a cake that tasted good - no need to worry -thank you Blackbird Sweets for an absolutely scrumptious cake!!

  Emailing is our main source of communication and at times it take a while for a response from her. But on a better note, I have used her for several occasions so I knew without a doubt that I would use her for my wedding. Andrea's cakes and cupcake are always delicious and never disappointing.

  The cake was DELICIOUS and so beautiful! I don't know how expensive they are in comparison to other bakeries for wedding cakes, but I imagine that they are pretty middle of the road in pricing. Andrea is very talented, creative, and great to work with. I would highly recommend her cake!
