5-stars are not enough! Blathanna Shoppe’s florals were a highlight of our wedding day. Liz walked a very indecisive bride (me) through a plan and made beautiful suggestions. She is responsive, resourceful, and extremely talented. She went above and beyond to create a masterpiece between the church garland, the wedding venue tables, and our bouquets. The flowers were simply beautiful, elegant, and sweetly fragrant, Liz also traveled from the Lakes region of NH to the White Mountains village of Jackson to make this happen for us during a holiday weekend, and within a very short timeframe. Hire her! She's amazing -

Beautiful florals & great to work with!
Working with Liz was great!! She is so good at what she does; I had a sort of vague idea of what I wanted and she created the most beautiful floral arrangements that were exactly what I had hoped for! I was truly blown away the day before my wedding when I visited the studio for a floral preview. I highly recommend hiring Liz! -

Liz has an amazing aesthetic and was a pleasure to work with! She helped me and my husband bring our vision to life for our table arrangements and wedding party florals. She worked with us to set a budget that worked well for us, even giving advise for arrangements we did ourselves, like for the end of the aisle. We also paid for an extra bucket of flowers, which she used to add additional decorations around the venue and to extra display tables. The only surprise was that the flowers ended up costing more than we budgeted for last minute just a few days before the wedding. We understood and paid the difference, since there was inflation on prices due to the pandemic. Overall, we were super happy with the result and Liz's work! -

Perfect flowers for my mountain themed wedding!
Liz was absolutely amazing! My husband and I were married during COVID -19 and she was available through all the craziness and was always quick to respond to changes and questions. Due to weather, we had a last minute change to an indoor wedding. Liz was able to turn the arbor flowers into a beautiful mantle display day of. My husband said she worked extra hard and stayed late to ensure the mantle looked perfect. The bouquets were stunning and just what I had envisioned for my mountain themed wedding. All of our guests loved the flowers and couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful everything was. I can’t say enough good things about Liz. I loved working with her and would definitely recommend her shop! -

Budget friendly, Talented florist!!
Liz recently did the flowers for my son's wedding. She is such a dream to work with. So professional, yet so down to earth. She really understands her clients and delivers the most amazing designs. She goes above and beyond what I would expect from a florist. You can tell that flowers are her passion. When we arrived at the reception, we noticed that Liz added floral landscapes to the buffet table, added a flower arrangement over the bridal sign, and added so many more details to the reception space that we had not thought of. We also didn't realize that the wedding cake didn't come decorated with flowers. The wedding planner let us know that when Liz saw the "undecorated" cake, she quickly created the most amazing floral design on the cake. She added all these amazing touches to our son's wedding because she has such an eye for detail. It is clear that her goal is to produce an amazing floral landscape for each wedding, going above and beyond what one would expect from a florist. Thanks again Liz!! The wedding photos are stunning thanks to your amazing florals!!! -

I can not say enough about Blathanna Shoppe and the floral arrangements Liz created for my son and daughter-in-law's wedding. She is an expert at flowers and plants and her creative ideas added those extra special touches that every guest commented on. Guests are still talking about the arrangement on the wedding arbor and the stunning wreath around the chandelier! The bride's bouquet was breathtaking! Liz is a pleasure to work with and a true professional! I highly recommend Blathanna Shoppe! They are exceptional! -

Easy going and Incredibly talented
Our event was held in our wine cellar and the work Liz did took it over the top. The table spray, center pieces, and all of the littles touches she added (stuff that I never would have thought of) came out so awesome. Sometimes when someone is amazing at what they do you just have to let their imagination run and the outcome was way better than I could have imagined! I highly recommend her. You can tell she loves working with flowers and loves making people happy with the end product. Thank you Blathanna for making our event so special!! -

Extremely disappointed.
I was originally really excited to work with Liz, as she was responsive and seemed excited for me, so I signed a contract. We only spoke on the phone once and texted a few times. Then COVID-19 came through and completely flipped our wedding plans upside down. I am a military member, so I informed all of my vendors that due to the Department of Defense’s regulations, I would not be able to travel to my original wedding location in NH and that we now had to get married in DE. All of my vendors completely understood and returned my deposits despite their contracts. Except Liz. She said that her deposit was non-refundable. I said, okay got it. Can I still put the $341 I have sent you towards flowers and have my parents pick them up? She replied that my deposit was already spent because of the time she has spent “planning” and that any flowers I wanted would be an additional cost. In other words, she is keeping my $341 without providing me with ANY kind of product or service. Basically, I feel I experienced extremely poor customer service. Sometimes, you have to make exceptions for people or at least be a little flexible...or maybe provide a product or service after you take their money?Blathanna Shoppe's reply:
Morgan, I am truly sorry. We take pride in being flexible, especially during these times. Rescheduling and/or modifying the current proposal have no effect on the required non-refundable deposit, given at the time of signing the contract. Blathanna Shoppe has an exceptional customer service history and I regret that we didn't live up to those expectations. -

Backstory: The vendor took our review down for a week, now it is back up as I had to contact the wedding wire to resolve this. I wonder if that is the reason why there is not a lot of negative reviews of this florist.
I am sorry you were unable to respond to our email for almost a month, just ignored your clients that’s why we had to go on here. You emailed us after disputing this review and stated you didn’t respond to us because we were away stating that you are disputing this review as you responded to our email. On 8/13/2020 you responded, after this review.
I see that you have a 1 Star form another client so not sure why you we are the only ones who are not satisfied with your work as you state. You scammed her out of her deposit when she was not the reason why the wedding was cancelled, she doesn’t have control over what state mandates. Our wedding was rescheduled, no other vendor except you raised their prices in the middle of rescheduling nor asked to keep their deposit. We had a vendor actually adding a free hour on because we were her first wedding of the year and another one running an open bar for an hour for all of the guests just because they wanted to thank us for celebrating with them... Couple of my guests had to drop out last minute due to someone whom they were in contact with getting a positive covid 19 test, the venue actually refunded us for the meals without us even asking as they just were being understanding of the new normal we live in. No other vendor except you wanted to money grab. We had our wedding ready to go for May 8th, our venue spent so much time on the planning part, it was cancelled, and the venue told us they’d refund us everything no matter how much work they put into the event... No one except you was going to charge us the deposit for planning and not the actual services received...
I would like to also apologize since you found our event difficult because you were unable to complete your work as stated per the contract and you found it awkward since you weren’t even there for the actual wedding as you left without saying goodbye right before the ceremony 😂 We payed for some of the services we didn’t even receive and you, a wedding vendor wanted to hurt a couple spending a year on panning and so much money on actual professionals to make their wedding perfect, and then call it difficult and awkward although you left right after the first look... How low can you actually go?
I hope the rest of your career is as “pleasant” as you’re.
You didn’t even stop by to say hi, we ran after you to thank you as we were not going to bring up the issues on the best day of our lives. Every vendor other than you had a table at the cocktail hour and dinner and everyone except you was satisfied with the event we planned out. It hurts for me to even think that a wedding vendor would even suggest that an event was not good enough without even being there. However, I will pass your feedback to our planners, photographers, musicians, make up artists and DJs as it appears they didn’t do a good enough job to meet your standards.
Also, wasn’t going to touch upon this but oh well, the fact that you were not even wearing a mask during a global pandemic and you did not even ask us if we’d like you to is ignorant to say the least. Every vendor except you asked us personally if we would like them to wear a mask, most of them we are close with so we let some of them work without it in close proximity. You, on the other side didn’t even bother to ask us or the venue. There was also another person there I had no idea about, also not wearing a mask. I was unaware that during a global pandemic you would just ask someone else to come with without even bothering to ask us, the people who hired you for this event.
As for the toss bouquet, it was 3 roses tied with greenery. Also, as you may recall you had to make one less centerpiece as one table (my brother’s family) didn’t show up due to Covid (they developed symptoms)... we didn’t ask you to even refund us for that. You also charged us a transfer fee and didn’t actually transfer the gazebo piece. You threw it on the floor right near my bridal party table... So inconsiderate and unprofessional.
We had Katarina (whom you’re ignored for a week when she emailed you 14 days prior to our wedding and actually had to ask me for your cell phone since you were unresponsive), our planner have all the vases the morning which I, myself cleaned prior to packing it in a box that a food and beverage director found for us as you failed to provide one to us as discussed ... Still, we were willing to drive them and you simply didn’t want to see us as you didn’t want to go over what you promised. I personally packed the 4 tall vases in the box, so I don’t know what you’re talking about. I will talk to our wedding coordinator regarding this issue. Also, the actual venue provided us two of the vases as you forgot 2 of the low ones. Not sure how that happened and how you made the mistake on your part. Our wedding coordinator wasn’t supposed to be the one finding you vases in the middle of our wedding.
If you’re unable to do the job, perhaps don’t? I have photos stating what you promised vs what we received... we have a contract that states cascading pieces and not just full of greenery. Don’t blame it on the venue, planners, or the weather. You could of at least apologized for not being able to communicate to me clearly your inability to create designs with cascading decor. I understand not all people are great at one or another thing, however being honest with your clients is what will bring them back to you.
As for my bouquet, you didn’t even provide me my bouquet without me calling you right before my first look when my photographer asked me where it was. I didn’t like it the night before as I have mentioned to you when you sent me the video of it, I asked you to fix the bouquet and you failed to deliver once again.
I enclosed some photos (from our difficult wedding) that I was going to use the cascading bouquet for. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive what I was promised per our agreement so I couldn’t use them for my main photos as I didn’t find my bouquet to be of the design that fit our theme, it looked more appropriate for a bohemian/country bride.
Actual Review:
Where do I begin... We spent so much on one day to make it perfect and the flowers was the only thing that wasn’t right. Long review, but I encourage all potential customers to read and review pictures...
We started having issues with this vendor about 45 days from our initial wedding day. My now husband and I started reaching out to vendors April 2020 about the possibility of having to postpone our wedding due to Covid 19. This "discussion" about Liz waiving the 15% fee on something like that, was clearly a hostility point for her. She fully intended to charge us the 15% admin fee if we had to postpone our wedding regardless if state and federal mandates came down. Largely due to her, combined with general uncertainty, we choice to move our wedding to July 30th and she was “nice enough” to waive the 15% admin fee. She even responding back to my husband saying she was “happy to be so helpful during these tough times”. Ever since she never wanted to address my husband again due to him not agreeing with her unwillingness to be flexible until pressed and threatened to cancel our order and pay the fee instead. It was clear at the time she did not think COVID would ever cause a shut down, however; the fact she fully intended to charge us a admin fee due to a pandemic and state and federal orders to cease gatherings at the time was astonishing, and the subsequent cold shoulder was frustrating at best, and childish at worst.
The other thing in our conversations that really irked us, was when we started toying with our pieces and she came us with and said "oh I didnt think you'd reduce flowers" and "your budget is already small, (which overall it was above national average), she said i don't usually do less than $2,000". This came across incredibly arrogant. Our wedding was not cheap in most people’s’ opinions, but expensive, we just did not find the value in stuffing everything with flowers. We wanted high quality pieces to let the room we had stand out....we had to beg people to go home with flowers the next day and some were thrown out. We dont see value there so we wanted what we needed for aesthetics.
There were two big service failures where deviations from contract and expectations happened...
Firstly, gazebo piece. My now husband had stepped off the alter and looked up before the ceremony started and said it appeared crooked. We have since seen a picture where it does in fact look slightly off, it was certainly not cascading in an arc shape but flat kinda in a rectangle across that was not full. We provided a bushy picture to Liz of the gazebo piece, the one we recieved was unrecognizable from the one we agreed on. I have attached pictures of the two pieces in question to this review. Incredibly different and the gazebo piece was crooked and not where we planned it to be... ugh. It would have been to know that would have been $600 from so few flowers and so much greenery. Again, she gave us that quote and we expected what we sent in some relation.
Subsequently on the transfer that we paid the admin fee for, she did move it to the room and left it on the floor instead of the sweetheart table as planned. The one we recieved vs sent you was also not recognizable. We also found out our gazebo piece that was transferred was on the floor. Are you kidding? We wanted the entire piece on the table, we shouldn't be paying you that admin fee for a handful of flowers set up on our sweetheart table and for you to just have them on the floor in the room. At that point it would have been better to have left most of flowers on the lawn and reduce her admin fee to reflect the few flowers needed.
I was most disappointed in my bouquet. Even when my hubby saw it he said, what is this? It was not at all what we discussed, way smaller and not cascading again. I also talked to her about the bouquet on the day off, and she said she could not do it. If one can’t perform a job, why should they do it in general...
Its really simple and understandable if she is unable to accommodate requests we send or don't know how to do a cascade, i just don't think she should tell clients she can do it and deliver products that fall short.
I have all the messages of her saying it will be cascading like the picture and well at least not crooked... That’s breach of implied contract not like she cares about lying to us tho.
I do also want to say, based on how clear we were with reference pictures and the clear deviation from that in terms of flower quantity in pieces, it does make me a bit concerned that Liz may have adjusted her "upcharge" (cost vs profit ratio) so that we were offered fewer flowers at the cost of her profit. I dont say this lightly or to be disrespectful, we have a pandemic and all weddings have been kicked back and I'm sure she is hurting as all wedding vendors are. It would certainly explain the clear and distinct differences better than inability to do so.
Other than Liz, our vendors were so understanding and polite and reached our expectations. This vendor doesn’t even respond to us anymore and don’t address our concerns, she also ignored us sometimes when we would ask questions and was upset when I said I wouldn’t pay 75$ per aisle runner... There is so much more to this story.
I’ve seen a review on here stating that the deposit was 345, again thats 50 percent of the budget usually and is less than 2000... Again, weird because this florist says she is so great she won’t do anything less than 2,000 and we were an exception.Blathanna Shoppe's reply:
This was so hard for me to read. This is the first time I’ve ever had a couple not happy with their wedding. I take pride in my customer service as well as my work. It’s completely unfortunate that their was a miscommunication on design and style. I always request lots of inspiration pics to assist me in designing the flowers envisioned for my detailed flower proposal for every bride. The wedding day install was very stressful and was felt throughout the entire wedding venue. I did my absolute best with what was given (I.e. hating the bridal bouquet, less than 40 minutes to install arbor with wind). I went above and beyond for you to make things great and even in discussion following the ceremony you were happy with everything and grateful to have worked with me, I thought we were on the same page at that point. This review was originally a private email I had received in response to several texts the morning after their wedding. I offered to pickup the vases that were supposed to be returned to me as well wave their toss bouquet you never paid for. Upon picking up my vases three out of the four tall glass vases were not accounted for. This was a very difficult and awkward wedding across the board. I absolutely standby my work and execution of your wedding. Your comments and implied values contradict the actual contract and agreement you signed. -
