Boydville was the perfect wedding venue for us. The mansion is beautiful inside and out, and makes for amazing pictures. The reception area is gorgeous with string lights draping the entire dance floor area. The owners are flexible and easy to work with. I highly recommend the Boydville Inn for a wedding venue. You have the freedom to choose your own outside caterers and very budget friendly. Meagan was a pleasure to work with and very professional.Boydville, The Inn at Martinsburg's reply:

Could not recommend more
I don’t have enough good things to say about Meagan and Boydville. The venue is breathtaking and charming. It’s perfect for a medium sized wedding. We had about 100 guests and we never felt cramped. There are beautiful rooms to get ready and the property is just gorgeous. There are several places to have your ceremony. Meagan is so helpful and responsive. On a few occasions in the year leading up to my wedding I emailed her questions and never had to wait more than a day for response. This venue already had chairs and tables, and if you need tablecloths. It was one less thing to worry about. If I could do it all over again, I would still pick Boydville.Boydville, The Inn at Martinsburg's reply:

Beautiful location for a beautiful price
Boydville doesn’t look like it should be in Martinsburg, it’s beautiful and large. Megan and team are wonderful host and we’re very accommodating to all the madness that comes with wedding planning. For instance we originally wanted to get married by one of the large trees, but everyone insisted we had a back plan or two in case it rained, and girl it rained my whole wedding day, we ended up getting married on the porch and it was beautiful with the rain letting up a little and having it as a backdrop.
With the rental of the venue we got the venue from 9AM to 10PM, we’re allowed to bring our own food, hire our own bartender, truly the best bang for your buck.
There is also a gentleman’s getting ready area that looks like a mini version of the big house off to the side, my husband didn’t end up using it because he was helping set up the whole thing while I was exiled upstairs to get ready ha but I have been in there and it looks like so much fun!

Amazing experience. Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful winter wedding.
Booked this venue for March 2019, the snow made it perfect. The pictures of Boydville in the snow are magical and the venue was the perfect setting for our antique theme.Boydville, The Inn at Martinsburg's reply:

Beth Sent on 10/02/2018Having our wedding and reception at Boydville Manor was the very best decision we made! This was the first and only venue we toured and my now husband and I fell in love with it at first sight! The mansion is gorgeous, the grounds are breathtaking, the garden patio with Edison lighting is what dream are made of, but truly the determining factor was the warmth and kindness that the owners, Jon and Meagan exuded. From the moment I messaged them and through the entire process they were nothing short of professional, down to earth, extremely helpful and flexible... SO easy to work with. They recommended our caterer to us and we just couldn't have been happier... we are still getting compliments on the food! Meagan, her mother and mother-in-law worked tirelessly behind the scenes all day to make sure everything ran smoothly... and always with a smile. Another unexpected bonus is that they are constantly improving and upgrading their venue. For example, we were planning on using the regular white folding chairs for our ceremony when we booked with them, but by the time our wedding came around they had added beautiful rustic benches as an included option! Over all, Jon and Meagan gave us a flawless experience and truly added to the special memories we made at Boydville that day. Thank you! Megan Sent on 08/26/2018I couldn’t imagine having my wedding anywhere else. This was the greatest choice I made was picking Boydville as my wedding venue. Pick them and you won’t be disappointed I promise! Great price, super flexible and willingness to help, and great people that own the place. :)

Megan Sent on 07/02/2018We had an absolutely incredible experience hosting our wedding and reception at Boydville! As soon as we toured the venue, we fell in love. There is so much charm and character at Boydville. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the owners have truly thought of everything to make wedding days special and memorable. From a beautifully appointed bridal suite, to a comfortable gentleman’s quarters, to the grand front porch, and the brick courtyard the WHOLE property is absolutely perfect for weddings.
Meagan (the owner) and her family were nothing but warm, welcoming, accommodating, and incredibly professional. Through every step of the planning process, Meagan was uber-responsive, never hesitating to thoroughly answer my questions. On the day of the wedding, she and her team were with us every step of the way, working right beside us to ensure everything was perfect. I have never seen such a level of commitment from other venue owners. Truly, Boydville is remarkable.
My husband and I spent the day of our wedding surrounded by family and friends who love us and wanted nothing more for us than to share in a day of love and happiness. Meagan and her family fit in seamlessly with this scheme.
What a blessing it was to us to spend our wedding day with such lovely people! We can’t say enough good things about Boydville and it’s owners. It’s defintely a must see!

Taylor Sent on 09/17/2018We would like to thank Boydville for making Logan and I’s wedding day so special! Meagan and Bunny helped us organize and carry out each part of the ceremony and reception. Our ceremony and reception were outside, and despite the rain everyone had a great time! Plus they are so accommodating! Every request I had (which were a lot) they worked with us. We would definitely recommend having your wedding or any other event with Boydville!

Jacki Sent on 07/03/2018When we were in the process of planning our wedding, the venue was one of the most important pieces to us. My husband is very proud of his West Virginia roots and has always had a love for history. I adore his love for antiquity, and have always found joy in learning about the Eastern Panhandle. (I’m from the West Coast.) After looking around, we realized that the perfect place had been right under our noses the whole time: Boydville. The property had the class, charm, character, history, beauty… Everything we were looking for. To top it all off, the owners, Meagan and Jon, are phenomenal people. Not only do they want to share their property with you, but also want to make sure your day is perfect and one-of-a-kind. The initial tour was very thorough and informative. They answered all of our questions as though it’s not the thousandth time they’ve been asked, and they’re incredibly hospitable. They essentially opened the entire property up for our event, and we were given the option to have access for the entire weekend. Score! They have excellent resources and relationships within the local community which led us to our coordinator, who was able to offer us a TON of additional savings. We loved everything so much that we have plans to have milestone parties on the property, and it was so comforting knowing that Boydville will always be there to help with our plans every step of the way.

Now that our wedding date has passed, we wanted to take a moment to write and express the deepest thanks we can give to the Boydville staff! Jon and Meagan Mann, the owners of the Bodyville Plantation, were extremely flexible and available throughout the time we booked the venue to the day of our wedding. Even though we felt like we were bombarding Jon with emails, phone calls, and text messages, he always took the time to answer our questions and provide us with suggestions. In particular, when Jon recommended a DJ (who we went with), we were able to meet our wedding planner. This connection through Jon was such a BLESSING to say the least. Jon has a great network of florists, DJs, photographers, and wedding planners. Going with the beautiful and historical Boydville mansion, the venue offered a guy’s lounge and a gorgeous bridal suite upstairs in the house that is extremely spacious considering the bridal party was 13 ladies for our wedding; this was nothing short of our dream wedding venue. The reception around back was surreal with the barn out back and brick wall outlining the festivities that night; it created such an ambiance that will never be forgotten. Personally, as a guy, I wanted something that replicated a “man’s cave”. The detached “law office” that was made into the groom’s corridors had a pool table and sports memorabilia in it, that made it an ideal spot for my groom’s party. Nonetheless, this wouldn’t have been possible if it hadn’t been for Jon and his wife and their efforts to appreciate exactly what we wanted our day.
Ultimately, the greatest compliment we can offer Jon and Meagan, is that Bodyville Plantation exceeded all our expectations, and quite simply was perfect. We are forever grateful for all that the Bodyville team did to make our dream wedding possible.

Chelsea Sent on 06/13/2018Boydville was the perfect fit for my wedding's theme and location. Being from the area, I struggled with finding a venue that allowed me the flexibility to piece together my dream wedding within my price range. Not only did they allow me to bring in my own caterer which was a huge plus, but they also were extremely accommodating with last minute weather changes to the location. I loved working with the owners and seeing my vision come to life. HIGHLY recommended.

They were extremely helpful, and personable throughout our entire wedding planning process. I couldn't have dreamed of a more perfect venue. We got married 6 months ago and everyone still talks about how gorgeous everything was that day!
