What beautiful women there are working there !! We have them a budget and ideas for the style of gowns we wanted. They came back with several, and they will even place a hold on a dress for you for a few days if you want to shop elsewhere. The women (staff) are so honest and genuinely caring and truly want to make sure you leave loving your dress !! -

I found my dream dress here and it was at an amazing price, too! The seamstress, Barbara, did an absolutely perfect job doing all the alterations for my dress and even custom designed and applied a belt to make the already beautiful dress exactly what I wanted! Everyone in the shop was friendly and willing to help with anything at the drop of a hat! -

The wonderful staff will find dresses that you may have overlooked and they can even help you decide on a dress! They have infinite patience and their enthusiasm in contagious. Don't forget to check out the designer rack! -

I found my dream designer dress for $800 and it had no flaws or issues. It was able to be sized to fit me perfectly.
The time I spent at the store picking the dress, being sized and making any adjustments by Barbara, and picking a veil was very pleasant. The ladies at the shop are incredibly sweet and kind.
If you are looking for a good deal on a dress and don't mind a second-hand dress, this is the place to check out. -

Natalie Sent on 08/12/2014I love this store. My mom and I went together to look at dresses, after having been at an expensive bridal boutique. The service we received here was even better than the expensive store. We spent the afternoon trying on dresses and both Becca and Phyllis helped me try on dress after dress. I think I must have tried on 2-3 dozen, until I found the one. I am so happy with what I found and at an incredible price. The dress had a few spots on it, so they had it cleaned and I picked it up about a week later looking like new. They had an incredible selection of dresses, and great service. The owner is such a sweet lady, my mom and I really enjoyed talking with her all afternoon as I tried on dresses. -

My dress was brand new marked down from $1200 to $400. I used a 15% coupon I found online and the total came to $360.... the woman helping me looked up the original price from the bridal shop they bought it from in Clinton, CT.... the original price of my dress was $3740.00!!!!! What a steal I purchased it for!! -
User1218225 Sent on 06/27/2013I love Brides to Be in Glastonbury!! I went with my mom when I first started looking for a dress. It was the only store I went to and I found my dress on my second trip there. The ladies are lovely and it's a very relaxed place. I ended up with an absolutely beautiful lace dress that cost me less than half of what I would have paid at a regular store. I had so many compliments on it!! My mother and niece got dresses there as well. They have a huge selection and the best part is that everything is affordable. Kleinfeld's it's not though.
I would highly recommend! -

Found my dress on my first day looking. So many options in this little shop to fit every budget! The only downside was that I didn’t get my dress back until 4 days before my wedding after having alterations done 4 times. It was worth it in the end though. -
User1182068 Sent on 05/31/2013Brides to Be is a great shop, they helped me find my wedding dress within a month of my wedding after a mishap with another store.
HOWEVER, their seamstress, Barbara, RUINED my dress. It fit me like a glove before she touched it and afterwards that hem wasn't cut or sewn straight, the bustle was pulling off of the gown. It didn't fit me at all and looked horrible. I had to bring it to a different seamstress to get it corrected to exactly where the dress was originally sewn. The new seamstress cut the dress open right in front of me and I could not believe that horrible job Barbara did. She used YELLOW thread on a white dress. When I called her to ask for a partial refund she was nothing but non-compliant and rude, denying everything that I said was wrong with the dress. I made it clear I was not happy with the dress before I left with it but it was 3 days before my wedding and felt as though I had no other choice.
Barbara single-handed ruined what was supposed to be one of the greatest experiences of my life.
Oh yea, she then had the nerve to say that I only wanted a refund so I could go on my honeymoon.... Since when will $100-200 pay for a vacation?
