  Best experience!

  I decided to spring for on-site hair and makeup from Bristles for our wedding out at Montfair, and I'm so glad I did! Rachel has done the hair for all of my friends' weddings over the years and it was wonderful having her do mine in May! I showed her a few pictures of ideas I had and she instantly understood what I imagined and delivered exactly that! She did the same with the makeup and even tweaked it a few times to make sure I was perfectly happy with it! She is the best at what she does. She has such a calm and energetic demeanor, she was a joy to have in the house with all my sisters and friends as we all got ready! Thanks Rachel!!

  Bristles team were the perfect on-site hair stylists!

  Tori and KK did hair for myself, my mom, and my bridesmaids and they were GREAT. They were so fun and easy to get along with in my suite on the day, and did an incredible job. Doing the trial was important for getting the look just right, but it really meant that Tori knew exactly what to do on the day. And when one of my bridesmaids wasn't loving her look, KK started from scratch to get it just right. Planning everything was super easy with Jocelyn helping us out at the salon, and they were so flexible and nice in working with me when my sister-in-law opted in, then opted out, then opted back in to having her hair done!

  Bristles is the perfect salon for wedding party hair and makeup! I, as the bride, felt absolutely beautiful and could not have asked for a better hair and makeup stylist - Vanessa. My wedding party was well taken care of and we were all impressed with the efficient and stylish product. They provide a room for your party to use for snacks, drinks, and mirrors if there are some in your party not having their hair and makeup professionally done. I would highly recommend bristles for any beauty needs in the Charlottesville area!!

  The Bristles team is the best! So glad they had room for us during the busiest wedding month in C-ville. They were very professional and knew exactly how to calm our nerves a couple hours before the big party! I loved how everything turned out, all of my bridesmaids maids were gorgeous and very pleased with their hair and make up! Miraculously my hair stayed in place all night, (its never ever done that before) and my makeup was fresh even after the after after party ended. I highly recommend Bristles to any Cville bride! My maid of honor is getting married next year and we've already booked our appointment to do it all over again in 2015!

  I worked with Ali to schedule all of the bridesmaids hair as well as my own. She is very easy to work with, very professional and communicates quickly. Judy did my hair and make up and she is PHENOMENAL! I have very thick and sensitive hair and she did my hair with ease. Her make up technique left my make up perfect throughout the entire day. Cannot speak highly enough about the professionalism about this salon and finding ways to make it special. They gave us a room for us to put our belongings and drink mimosas. They will make your day special and are very easy to get to!

  Bristles did my hair and make-up at their building, which worked perfectly. There were 5 of us and more than 5 stylists scheduled to work with us, so we all got done at the same time, in a very timely fashion.   We had a great experience at Bristles. Everyone's hair and makeup turned out beautifully, there was a room for all the bridesmaids to put there stuff, glasses for the mimosas that we brought, and Bristles had 9 bridesmaids, me, a flower girl, and the mother of the groom in and out in two hours.

  I used Judy for my hair and makeup. She was excellent! I have VERY thick, very long hair, and she made me look great. She also listened well to what my ideas were and offered excellent suggestions. I was especially pleased with Bristles' pricing, compared to other places in Charlottesville, for the same high quality of service. It was also very nice that they gave me and my wedding party a room to hang out in while we had our respective services. We brought a light brunch and mimosas to make the day special. All of the salon staff was very courteous and professional. Definitely consider a trial-run, if you can afford it. Judy is a hair artist, and it's worth your time and money to have her test out her ideas before the big day.

  Judy, at Bristles, was amazing. Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful, more ME, hair style for my wedding. I went in with no ideas about what I wanted and wasn't even sure if I wanted my hair to be up or down. As we talked a little bit about life, she suddenly because inspired and came up with the most BEAUTIFUL hairstyle I have ever seen...and she had my style pegged exactly right. The hairstyle and curls looked AMAZING even after the wedding was over, and I finally took the style down. :) The makeup that she did looked flawless and stayed put the whole night, despite some serious dancing and running around.   I could not find anybody to do hair and makeup form my wedding for two reasons: I lived in Maryland and my wedding was in Virginia, and my wedding was on Sunday. I finally found Bristles on a web search and emailed the salon immediately, they responded right away and scheduled my hair and makeup trials and wedding day service quickly. Vanessa (makeup) and Jean (hair) did an amazing job on the trial, so I was pretty happy; however, on my wedding day they went all out, I could not believe how beautiful we all looked (bride, mother of the bride, bridesmaids, junior bridesmaids) it was just amazing!!! My makeup lasted the whole day even though it was hot and humid outside. These people are very professional, they listen to what you want, make useful recommendations taking into account your personal style and preference, they are very flexible, and affordable too. They really know what they're doing. I'm very pleased with their service. Highly recommended.

  I had a facial and my eyebrows done a week before the event, and my bridal party all had their hair done the day of. Bristles was really flexable, and I was shocked that they were able to fit in my entire bridal party. One girl had decided that she didn't want her hair done, but changed her mind at the last minute, and they were able to fit her in. They did a great job!

  I LOVE BRISTLES!! They are professional, not over-priced, and very talented hair dressers, manicurists, waxers, etc. I did ALL my beauty preparation with Bristles, Especially with Cici. She is AMAZING. I would HIGHLY recommend this salon!

  My bridal party and I had a wonderful experience at Bristles. We all looked and felt beautiful when we left. I particularly want to commend Judy Hayward, my stylist and makeup artist. Not only is she a Renaissance woman--she can do highlights, give a flattering cut, do expert makeup, execute unbelievably beautiful styles, and carry on a great conversation--but she is one of the most intelligent and enjoyable women I've had the pleasure to be captivated by. Lucky is the woman or man who sits in her chair. She's an artist of exceptional talent and a delightful person to boot.

Not only is she a Renaissance woman--she can do highlights, give a flattering cut, do expert makeup, execute unbelievably beautiful styles, and carry on a great conversation--but she is one of the most intelligent and enjoyable women I've had the pleasure to be captivated by. Lucky is the woman or man who sits in her chair. She's an artist of exceptional talent and a delightful person to boot.

  Bristles was very accommodating to a large bridal party including many family members. Every hair appointment took less time than expected and each style was done wonderfully. Vanessa is FANTASTIC. She did my bridal hair and it was absolutely perfect, a low chignon with braids over the top---all done from a photograph during the trial. I received so many compliments on the hair--both from guests and from other vendors. She was so pleasant, professional, and I would highly recommend her!

  Bristles did my entire wedding parties hair within an hour and a half. I loved that they had individual stylists for each girl instead of having to share one to three stylist amongst a large party. That in itself was worth the cost of the appointment. In terms of price they were comparable to everyone in Charlottesville.
  
  We went to the salon and were given our own room to get ready in or hang out. It was nice to have a private space to get any day of jitters or stress out.

  very kind, helped me rescheduial my apointments on multipule occasions. Jean did an exelent job on my hair it was comfortable and looked beautifull all day! makeup was also very good, they worked hard to make my vision a reality.

  Bristles did a great job planning, organizing, and styling the ten of us who came in for hair and makeup for my wedding. A couple of my bridesmaids didn't get exactly what they asked for, but I personally thought everyone looked stunning. The only thing that was a bit confusing is that a "blowout" is really not what we define as a "blowout" at our home salons in Philadelphia, NJ, and NY. We communicated about this in advance, though, so people could adjust what services they asked for accordingly.

  I loved all of my bridesmaids hair, and my hair! I had my make up done, and a spot was missed but the lady already had another client in her chair. I had to have someone else fix my make up which took two different tries. I was 30 minutes behind schedule because I had to wait to get it fixed.
