  Brittany is a blessing to any wedding she is a part of!

  Short review: Brittany is the absolute BEST book her ASAP!
  
  Long review: I looked through at least 50 photographers in the NYC area for our wedding and Brittany's was the first who's photos really spoke to me. Her images are bright and cheerful with such beautiful composition. We met on a stormy day in a little cafe and I knew then she would be a great fit for our wedding. I could not have anticipated how phenomenal the choice I had just made was. She is a truly seasoned professional through and through with a delightful to work with personality.
  
  In the months leading up to the wedding Brittany was extremely communicative responding so quickly and was very helpful with all those questions that arise. She was very empathetic and understanding when such issues arose such as we had to cancel our engagement photos the night before because one of our pups fell ill and was in the hospital. Her compassion and understanding took so much stress out of the process.
  
  She was a great help in planning the photographer timeline, wedding timelines, a questionnaire about scheduling and photo shot list. She was very proactive in helping to manage the day of photo schedule and even let the venue know we were running a few minutes late to the wedding!
  
  Our wedding was small and intimate. Brittany did a phenomenal job of capturing our guests and their personalities in such lovely candid shots. She did a dynamic job of capturing the huge list of family and other photos which overwhelmed me just looking at but she had in hand and captured them all.
  
  Brittany offers professional opinions and guidance such as taking photos before our Fall wedding would provide better lighting. She answered many questions relating to the flow of the day and worked with other vendors on when the first dance was starting and cake cutting to make sure they were in place to capture photos.
  
  Day of the wedding Brittany arrived on time and immediately started working. She and the other photographer on her team mingled among all the family in our apartment and captured photos in a way which everyone felt at ease. Some of my favorite photos are those taking while getting ready. She was proactive and really far surpassed any expectations. She was very communicative such as she was taking these shots are there any others we would like. Can we do this now to get a photo of it i.e. putting my shoes on in my dress. 15-30 minutes before her scheduled finish at our wedding she asked if we needed any other shots taken or if we would like any thing captured. Additionally before she left she checked in with me again and advised on the turn around for the photos. I really appreciated this as your wedding day flies by and it was so considerate to check in to make sure everything we needed was captured.
  
  I would HIGHLY recommend Brittany to anyone seeking help for weddings of any size, events or family photos. Her organizational skills are exceptional which is high praise from me! She is an all around lovely person to be around and a true professional who is an asset to any event and she takes the upmost care in preparing your photos of memories that will last a lifetime. (Plus she is a great marriage certificate signer! :))

  Choosing Brittany as our photographer was one of the best decisions my husband and I made for our wedding. Not only was Brittany, SO quick to respond to our emails, she was kind and put my husband and me (who have never had professional photos taken) so at ease. Both before our engagement session and before our wedding, she scouted out locations that would be good backdrops for the photos and tested the lighting. She turned around our photos SUPER fast - within days! People are raving about how good our wedding photos are, and we could not be more pleased with the outcome. She is talented, kind, and professional, and I could not recommend her more highly!

  Working with Brittany was a dream come true. She is extremely talented and has a unique and special eye for photography and style. Brittany captures moments that are editorial and beyond what the run of the mill wedding photographer sees. She thinks outside the box and captures every special moment and all subtle details of decor. Above all, Brittany is kinda, gregarious and patient. Having Brittany shoot my wedding exceeded all expectations and my photography came out stunning!

  Proceed with extreme caution

  We were absolutely thrilled to hire Brittany after what was a very thorough and amazing initial conversation. During the initial discussion Brittany was very engaged and helpful and answered all of our questions thoughtfully. To say that we were excited for our engagement shoot is an understatement. We were very much looking forward to meeting Brittany in person and getting a sense of how she liked to shoot pictures. Unfortunately, the session didn’t go very well. Although it was nice meeting her in person (she is a lovely person), she seemed quite disengaged throughout the shoot, which lasted just under an hour from the scheduled start time until we wrapped up. We did the same poses over and over with not a lot of overall direction. She directed minor details, such as finger placement, but not major points like posture or angles. This was our first engagement shoot so we didn’t know what to expect and figured she was the expert so we trusted her.
  
  However, upon getting the images back we were so disappointed. There were so many incredibly unflattering pictures; makeup can be seen running down the side of my face, double chins from odd angles in so many photos, bad posture, etc. Nonetheless, we figured everyone has off days and we still liked the photos from the galleries that Brittany had previously shared and had paid the deposit so we wanted to give it another chance. We reached out to Brittany saying that we wanted to do a reshoot and listing out the feedback and requests we had . Brittany responded by questioning our request for a reshoot, thanking us for our feedback, telling me to make sure my makeup artist uses setting spray and that she was going to keep all of our feedback in mind for the wedding day.
  
  Overall, Brittany’s response to our detailed concerns and request for a reshoot coupled with the actual photos that we received made us incredibly uncomfortable proceeding with Brittany for our wedding. When we communicated that we wanted to go with another vendor and requested part of our deposit back (we were always going to pay her for her time during the engagement shoot) Brittany replied with a very apologetic email and offered a reshoot and retouching of certain photos. While we appreciated this subsequent response, it seemed that her apologies and accommodations were only offered when we were looking to replace her with another vendor. That is not the type of energy we wanted for our wedding day. We walked away from Brittany and our deposit and have zero regrets about that choice.

I can also show you pictures we’ve taken ourselves so you can get a sense of what we actually look like. For additional context, we are both quite tall (I’m 5’10” and my fiancé is 6’2”) and neither of us have model proportions. If you are still thinking of going with Brittany, that is something to keep in mind if you are looking at Brittany’s instagram and through most of her galleries.
