I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing Steve DJ and provide auction services for a number of events (my middle school and high school dances, and nonprofit benefit dinners). When it was time to book our wedding DJ, it was a no-brainer to ask Steve if he’d do the honors. Andrew (groom) and I had a vision - we wanted a relaxed atmosphere and a tribute to our favorite classic rock songs and artists, with a gradual lead up to dancing! Steve absolutely delivered! Every song was perfectly timed! We are so grateful to Steve for creating a mix of tunes that perfectly captured our love! -

We had the absolute BEST experience with Steve at our wedding! From start to finish, he kept the energy high, the music on point, and our guests dancing all night. He took the time to understand our music tastes, seamlessly blending our favorites with crowd-pleasers that everyone loved. The dance floor was packed from the first song to the last, and we couldn’t have asked for a more fun, professional, and talented DJ. So many guests told us it was one of the most fun weddings they’d been to—and we owe that in large part to Steve. He also went above and beyond and was taking BTS photos on our wedding day and sent them all to use shortly after our wedding. While we wait for the rest of our professional photos, these have been so much fun to look at. Highly recommend to anyone looking for the perfect wedding DJ! -

The best DJ
Steve was the best DJ we could have asked for on our wedding day. Finding a DJ can be a little intimidating without any kind of referral since you don’t quite always know what you’re signing up for. I was never nervous about our music, announcements, sound, etc. He was amazing from our first call to the end of our reception and he made our wedding the exact kind of celebration we were dreaming of. We are so thankful for Steve and could not recommend him more! -

DJ Steve was amazing throughout the entire process of wedding planning and day of wedding. He’s easy to talk to and works with whatever you need. The party was amazing for our reception in which he brought lights and energy to the Dancefloor! He truly felt like he became a friend by the end of the wedding If you don’t book DJ Steve, you’re doing it wrong! -

Steve was the DJ/Emcee for my wife Alyssa and I's wedding reception on 6/14/24 at The Firehouse in downtown Sacramento. From the moment we booked him, he was nothing but first class all the way. He scheduled multiple meetings to speak with us during the planning process and was extremely helpful when we asked him for vendor recommendations. On wedding night he was absolutely phenomenal. He kept the vibes high throughout the cocktail hour and dinner and played so many favorite songs for people to enjoy on the dance floor! The morning after our wedding he even shared a photo/video gallery for my wife and I to relive the night before. Steve Buzzard is the perfect person to hire for any Northern California wedding! -

I've known Steve for almost 20 years now and can without a doubt say he is the best event emcee and DJ I've come across! From my 13th birthday party to my wedding, he has been incredible. Could not have asked for a better DJ
Steve was amazing, not only was he the DJ but he kept the wedding going based on the timeline and made announcements throughout the night. He brought his own speakers, microphones, etc. His communication was professional, he ensured he understood the timeline/song requests, how to pronounce our name, found us during the wedding to check in, and he even texted when he was on his way to the venue. To top it off he took a few pictures and even shared those before our professional photos arrive. We highly recommend Steve to DJ your wedding! -

Steve did an outstanding job as our wedding DJ. His talent, professionalism, and ability to keep the party going were truly remarkable, and we couldn't have asked for a better DJ to make our special day even more memorable!
From the very beginning, he demonstrated excellent communication skills and showed a genuine interest in understanding our musical preferences and vision for the reception. His attention to detail was evident as he seamlessly integrated our requested songs and created an incredible playlist that catered to all of our guests' tastes.
Not only did he exceed our expectations with his DJ skills, but he also went above and beyond in terms of professionalism and reliability. He arrived early to set up his equipment, ensuring everything was in perfect working order well in advance. His attention to detail and dedication to providing a flawless experience for us and our guests were truly commendable.
His positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and ability to adapt to any situation were truly appreciated.
We are especially grateful for the videos and photos he took and sent to us from our day. We have loved reliving our day while looking at and watching them.
We cannot recommend him highly enough as a wedding DJ. Thank you once again, Steve, for making our wedding day so special! -

We were referred to Steve by some close friends of ours and hiring him was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the very beginning he was incredibly personable and professional- we were comfortable with him from the get go.
He stayed in contact with us through the planning process, there if we had any questions or concerns. On the day of he was so kind, just a joy to celebrate with! There was never a dull or silent moment because he had the music for our special day constantly playing, throwing in fun songs at the most perfect timing. He was interactive with our bridal party and guests, helped guide the flow of the evening, and kept the vibes going. Not only was he on top of everything and kept to our schedule, he also took the time to take a few extra photos and videos for us to look at while we waited for our professional ones to come in. We are so pleased with his work and recommend him highly! -

Hiring Steve as your event DJ is an absolute game changer for your event - Steve DJ-ed our wedding and from our first meeting with him, we knew he was going to help make our dream wedding a reality. Steve is an excellent collaborator, taking the time to understand the vibe of your event to curate music around. We provided him with a few songs and genres we wanted but ultimately trusted him to select songs to keep our wedding energized - and he absolutely crushed it! Dancing at our wedding started during cocktail hour and lasted to the very end. Steve is fantastic and you will not regret bringing him onboard for your event! -

We loved Stephen so much! He was so easy to communicate with, had reasonable pricing, and knows how to get the crowd going! He checked in with us the day of the wedding multiple times to make sure everything was perfect and going smooth. -

Steve was the DJ for our wedding and did a phenomenal job. Naturally, with the significance of a wedding and its once-in-a-lifetime nature, there are nerves around all the vendors beforehand, but Steve was the best before, during, and after the event. We had 150 people at our wedding and not only was the 20x20 dance floor packed, folks were dancing everywhere. I'd estimate Steve had 85-90% of our guests dancing for most of the night.
Pros:
Proactive - Steve set up a couple Zoom meetings, one for an initial meet and greet, another just before the wedding to confirm details, run through the schedule, etc. This helped make sure we were aligned before the big day
Flexible - He was available as needed beforehand, drove quite a ways to our venue, and worked with our ceremony/reception structure perfectly. This was especially important for us as we were using a family property with our wedding being the first major event held there.
Professional - Steve was the consummate professional, yet fun and easy going. He was on top of everything from getting there early to set up multiple locations to coordinating with other vendors throughout the night. Steve is also a stress REDUCER, which is a huge (and unexpected) bonus on the wedding planning side.
Above and beyond - He actually captured some of the best pictures and video from the night and shared them the next day, which was really special.
Value - I'm a big cost to value/numbers person and felt that Steve was fairly priced initially. The wedding more than confirmed that. Both my wife and I felt he was the best vendor of the night and easily worth it.
Cons:
I don't have another event to hire Steve for! Otherwise, I would because he was that good.
Given our experience, I'm highly confident that you won't be disappointed going with Steve! -

I Called It Clutch. She Called It Perfect.
Steve just gets it. He’s been doing this a long time. That experience paired with his expert ability to read a couple, a room, and a crowd make for an epic wedding/reception. In addition to our reception, we’ve also attended another’s and both times Steve perfectly mixed the tunes and the announcements. We hired Steve as the DJ for our wedding and he delivered an unbelievable, A++ performance. Steve excelled in every single category. He was extremely easy to work with leading up to the wedding and very helpful with respect to strategizing about logistics in advance of the event. Steve is a very skilled MC and has a knack for reading and working with the audience. He kept the crowd engaged the entire evening, ensured a smooth transition between all of the different stages of the wedding, and did a great job managing the timeline. Oh, and did we mention that Steve is an amazing DJ as well? Steve has great musical intuition and had our entire multi-generational crowd dancing the entire night. We had a great time at our wedding and so did many of our guests, and I would attribute that in large part to Steve. We love Steve and would highly recommend him for any wedding. -

Highly Recommend!
Steve is so amazing in what he does. We first encountered him at my sister's wedding, and I immediately knew I wanted him to do mine. When my husband and I finally got engaged, we both knew we had to reach out and book him. We had a basketball themed reception entrance, and he did so amazing, it was beyond our expectations. He is so flexible and ready for anything; he helped get the kids under control by playing music for them to dance to and then directing them off the dance floor. I can go on and on about how wonderful he is, but you will need to see for yourself. I highly recommend him! -

We just had DJ Steve for our wedding 11-12-22. He incorporated all of our requests, helped MC the special dances, and kept the transitions smooth. No one wanted to leave our wedding and he was a huge part of that! Can't recommend enough, he's the best! -

A+ Service
Steve was a fantastic DJ for our wedding. He was responsive to all of our emails leading up to the wedding and was willing to work with our budget, he had a lot of positive energy and helped keep the crowd going on the dance floor. My wedding coordinator was especially very impressed with his professionalism and he was a pleasure to work with.
We ended up having a lot of toasts during the reception and they took longer than expected so we only had a few hours to dance afterwards before the wedding was over. Steve did such a great job motivating the crowd on the dance floor and we partied really hard for those few hours without skipping a beat. We were referred to Steve by a friend and I am so glad we went with him because he made our wedding that much more special. -
