  Helen was great. I love the pictures of our wedding as well as my bridal portraits. She was so flexible (she was 9 months pregnant at the time of my bridals and she still showed up and shot for hours). She's also very personable and a great value.

  Helen was an AMAZING Photographer, and great to work with! She has been very flexible to all of our requests and needs along the way. I have received several comments from friends and family reiterating how great she and her staff were at the wedding. I would recommend her to anyone getting wedding photos or otherwise, she made our vision come to life!! She was also timely in her completion of the final photos and assisting in early photo releases of a loved one who passed soon after the wedding.

  Helen did a wonderful job photographing our wedding! She made sure that all of my requests were met in regards to photos. She was incredibly organized and helpful! I highly suggest that you chose Calico photography for your wedding!

  As a photographer myself at the moment of selecting my photographer i could have been the worst nightmare for anyone. But I found Helen, She was amazing not only she saw my vision but also saw my dreams. She was flexible, attentative, and dedicated photographer i could have ever wished for(other than myself) I knew when we were done i had found a friend and a collegue. I will recomend Helen/Calico to anyone that is on a budget and that is seeking for quality. Thank you helen I will forever be in debt with you.

  Helen at Calico photography is amazing! We are so pleased with her professionalism, flexibility, overall value and quality of the pictures she took at our wedding! Couldn't have asked for a better photographer! We will definitely continue to use her and recommend her to others!

  You should seriously stop looking right now and book Helen and her team today!
  We used Helen and her team for our wedding, and she did such an amazing job!! From the first shot to the last, she has this way of making you feel like best friends and just so comfortable with the process. Not everyone likes having their pictures taken, but she truly makes the experience so enjoyable!   We used Helen and her team for our wedding, and she did such an amazing job!! From the first shot to the last, she has this way of making you feel like best friends and just so comfortable with the process. Not everyone likes having their pictures taken, but she truly makes the experience so enjoyable! She is just a fun person to be around and that really makes things so much easier when you are freaking out about everything else lol!
  A true professional with a magnificent eye for where and how your pictures should be taken, she stands out front spectacularly to ensure you get the shots you want before the reception, and then fades into the background during, to get those perfectly real shots that will warm your heart and truly capture the amazement of the day! From the first conversation to the final click of her camera, she makes you feel at ease and provides the security that your event has truly been captured.
  I’d bet the photos are probably one of the top two most stressed about things when considering your wedding. Please save that stress for something else and hire Helen. We never had a single doubt that we had made the right decision regarding who to trust with our irreplaceable (and non-recreatable) memories on our big day! Obviously we absolutely recommend Calico Photography for your big day too!

  I used Helen's company for two separate engagement shoots, my bridal portraits and my wedding. For the money spent Helen's packages are a great value but that is where the compliments end. Our first session I contacted Helen and asked her when I should expect to see an online proof of my pictures. Our first session I contacted Helen and asked her when I should expect to see an online proof of my pictures. I received in return a very hostile email that basically said I needed to be more patient. I should have terminated the relationship then. When we received our disks only about 30 out of 120 were usable. Our second engagement shoot went well and the disk was delivered on time. The only issue I have with my engagement shoots is that Helen, once she heard my ideas for location and theme, used them for other couples. This wouldn't have been a big deal if she would have waited until after our sessions were completed. There were several edits that any photographer would have known to edit out (a stray hair, a strap of a dress etc) but these were all special requests to Helen or things she couldn't do.
  
  When it was time for the wedding our relationship was still in fairly good condition. I sent over several ideas of the types of shots I wanted and how I wanted Helen and the second photographer to work. On the day of the wedding Helen was 45 minutes late and not dressed appropriately. Her attire was an annoyance but being late threw off our timeline and specific parts of our morning weren't captured because she was late. She and the second photographer didn't seem to get organized for several hours into shooting and instead of allowing the day to just flow she kept asking if there were specific shots I wanted, if we had enough posed pictures etc, even though I had already sent over a detailed list. Helen had no additional ideas or creative shots for me to do with my bridal party beyond what I had provided her although I told her we were game for anything. Helen and the second shooter spent a lot of time shooting together which defeated the purpose of having two photographers. I wanted to capture all aspects of the wedding not have them hang out together and photograph the same things.
  
  After the wedding I sent Helen an email simply asking for a timeline of when we would begin to see items from our package (online gallery, preview, etc). I received a return email that was about four paragraphs long where Helen outlined that she was extremely busy with other clients, her personal responsibilities and her full-time job and that I would get my pictures when I got them. She was unwilling to even discuss the hint of timeline even though this was three weeks after the wedding. We referred several clients to Helen and at least 3 have booked photography sessions with her or purchased wedding packages. We were supposed to receive a free session with her for our referrals but we never did. We had to make a list of the pictures we wanted printed based off of her completely disorganized online gallery and many of the prints we requested are wrong.
  
  Helen is not a photography professional that can run a business effectively. After all the issues we had with her including her printing some of the wrong pictures from our package she sent us a bill for $9 for overage of printing. You would think after being an hour late to our wedding and being extremely rude to your clients that anyone in business would eat the $9 cost. Especially after that client has spent such a large sum of money with your business. It is unfortunate that all of the pictures she's taken of us can now be used for her promotion. We do not endorse her business nor do we recommend that ANYONE use her. The photos maybe nice but the headache and stress of dealing with Helen isn't worth it. If you need a good photography in a similar price point I would recommend Abby Funderburk. She has a high fashion background and has a great grasp of editing and meeting her clients needs. I really regret using Calico Photography for our wedding. If there are any other questions you have (I have left out a lot of the gory details for times sake) please don't hesitate to contact me. Hopefully Helen will get on track but she has permanently burned a bridge with my husband and I. None of the other vendors would recommend her based on our experience and we used the best wedding professionals for the most part.
  
  
  UPDATE: To date I have not heard from this photographer. She has not attempted to contact me to rectify this situation or correct any of the mistakes that she made. If I could give her zero stars across the board I would. I'm thoroughly disappointed in her and her service and I hope she learns how to treat her clients.
