    HIRE!! Best decision ever, made our wedding happen!

    Calmerin was the best investment we made for our wedding, hands down!!! Glennie and Ashton were incredible from the start to finish. We knew from the very first phone call that they were going to 100% on top of it, and we were right! The organization and detail of this team is top-notch. We hired them for Jade Package, which is similar to day-of-coordination (which is really more month-of). They were key at makings our majority DIY wedding, 170 guest happen. Plus, Glennie and Ashton were such lovely, kind, and genuine people!!

    While the bulk of the details and communication was in the month leading up to our wedding, we had access to all of the planning docs as soon as we sent our deposit. The planning docs are AMAZING and so detailed, making us feel like we could transfer all of our knowledge/plans/thoughts to them. This was really important for us since we were doing the majority of the planning, and they executed phenomenally. We were also able to ask them for questions, such as a DJ recommendation.

    Glennie and Ashton were fantastic during the thorough venue walk-through, video calls, rehearsal with our wedding party, and on the day-of. We were able to drop off all of our wedding stuff (2 SUVs full) the morning of with set-up directions, and we showed up and it looked better than we had imagined/planned for! The tight set-up window from our venue was stressful, but Glennie and Ashton made sure everything was ready to go. They were so great at communicating with our vendors (we got many compliments!) They only texted us 1 small question the day-of, knowing that we were stressed and busy. They were AMAZING throughout the whole night, making sure we were on schedule and that we had everything we needed.

    We could go on and on about how amazing the team was and how happy we are that we worked with them. Best decision, book them before their calendars fill!

    Make your wedding less stressful -- hire Calmerin

    If you want to make your wedding planning even a fraction easier, hire Calmerin. We got their Jade package and even though that’s their smallest package it was so so helpful. We talked with Glennie and Amanda to talk over big picture stuff, get recommendations for other vendors, etc. and then the first time I met them was for the venue walkthrough. They’re the professionals and so they brought so many excellent questions for us and for the venue. It really helped us know what we still needed to figure out and prepare for the big day. Then, for the rehearsal/walkthrough and the big day, they were there every step of the way to help get the whole timeline sorted out. Both Amanda and Glennie were so kind and professional; they helped the whole day run so smoothly. The last thing, but really SO important and crucial: they helped with the breakdown and packing everything up. While we were all dancing on the dance floor and having a blast, they were helping to gather up everything and get the venue set back as it needed to be by the end of the night. It was such a weight off our shoulders for them to just handle all of that. They were always on top of everything and it was all so wonderful. Hire Calmerin for your wedding, and breathe a sigh of relief that you have them on your team because now it will surely be a beautiful day. Thanks Glennie and Amanda for everything!     The BEST day of coordinators!!

    We worked with Glennie and Reno to plan our dream wedding this past May. I cannot recommend them ENOUGH! They were FABULOUS!

    First, Glennie and Reno are two of the most fun and kind people to work with. They both are super attentive, always listening to what I wanted and making me feel heard - very important in wedding coordinators. They also were just so fun to be around and immediately made us feel so comfortable the first time we met them. It was like working on a wedding with friends!

    As for the coordination on the day of...they crushed it. I could not have asked for a better team. We had a VERY busy day with lots of moving pieces and details, and they handled every single thing like a champ. The set up on the day of was literally out of my Pinterest dreams - they took exactly what I told them I wanted and brought it to life.

    We only hired them for "day of coordination" but they really start helping about 3 months before the wedding. They were also always available via text or email - even for small questions like how many candles to buy per table to big questions about timeline.

    Truly, I could not recommend this team more. They really brought our dream wedding to life and it was such a joy working with them.

    Stop reading and book Calmerin Designs and Events!!

    Within days of getting engaged, I knew I did not want to plan a whole wedding. It seemed so daunting and my partner and I did not know where to start. Enter: Calmerin Designs and Events. I had seen Glennie and her team in action at my maid of honor's wedding so I felt confident looking at no other event planners. I will continue to tell everyone how great of a decision this was. Glennie and Reno did it all: searched for vendors, arranged meetings and coordinated 99% of communication with them, ensured our contracts were organized, managed our budget, created mood boards to design our entire wedding, made to-do lists, managed our rehearsal, created master schedules down to the minute, helped with set up and tear down, dealt with last-minute changes - and SO much more! We worked with them for almost 1 ½ years and they were a dream and delight the entire time. I cannot fit into this tiny box how much we recommend Calmerin Designs and Events - you will absolutely not regret it.

    Above & Beyond!

    Glennie and Jessica were absolutely, hands down the best day-of wedding coordinators! They went ABOVE AND BEYOND and surpassed all my expectations and my wedding would not have been as magical as it was without their help. You definitely get much more than you pay for and all the stressing over the details, well you don't have to worry about it with them because they're already on top of it. They don't just show up on your big day - all the time and energy they put in behind the scene starts the very moment you book them. Their passion really shines through and you cannot go wrong with Calmerin! Thank you so much for everything!

    Truly Exceptional!

    Glendale and Cathlene were exceptional to work with for our wedding! I am an event planner myself, so I might be somewhat high maintenance when it comes to someone else doing event planning for me, but Glendale TRULY made me feel like I was in great hands and I honestly didn't have to worry about a single thing for our wedding! She and Cathlene reached out to all of our vendors and even our entourage before the wedding to ensure everyone was on the same page, and then on the day of the wedding, they worked their magic and made the day FLAWLESS, literally! I didn't have to worry about anything knowing they were there. Everything was set up perfectly, every vendor did everything according to plan, and we had the most amazing day thanks to our incredible wedding planners. I highly recommend working with Calmerin Designs and Events for any of your event needs!

    Could not have done it without these amazing women

    I booked Calmerin for day of coordination. I had collected a lot of decorations on my own and had a vision of what I wanted. I explained it to Glendale and BAM, everything was exactly what I wanted and even better!!! I didn’t have to worry about a thing. These girls are very talented and they work very hard for you. Best decision I made for my wedding was to hire Calmerin for my day of need. You guys are AMAZING! 10/10

    Thank you Glennie!

    I highly recommend you book your wedding planning/coordination with Glennie and her team! They were so responsive, accommodating, professional and just on top of everything. They helped execute our day and made sure every detail was exactly as we wanted it.

    We hired Calmerin to be our day-of coordinators but they were there for us and involved weeks in advance. Making sure they understood our vision and knew exactly what we were hoping for. They are incredibly organized and detail oriented, and brought today our perfect day.

    Glennie helped to MAKE our wedding

    We worked with Glennie for over a year in planning our wedding. I can't speak highly enough to what a joy it was to have her with us during the entire planning process. She is attentive, experienced, and always ready with a good gif in her emails! Starting out she helped us map out our budget with an incredibly detailed excel grid. We had already picked our wedding venue but Glennie helped us fill out the majority of our vendors. Every time she gave us 3 options - a cheap one, a mid range, and one at the top of the budget. She never pushed us to go over and was amazing at being our go between in booking everyone. People always say wedding planning is stressful, but with Glennie it was a complete and total breeze. She answered any question we had and kept us on track with weekly check lists as we got closer and closer to the big day. Then the day of Glennie and Cintia we fantastic at keeping everyone on track (with minute by minute timelines even!) and things ran smoothly. Glennie is a as a hard a worker as she is sweet and caring person. I can't recommend her enough - hire her for your wedding!!

    Best Vendor Ever!

    I hired Glennie Calmerin for my 02/16/19 wedding in Oceanside, CA and I am so so SO happy that I did! My husband was on the fence about whether we needed a coordinator so I went ahead and found one on my own. During the reception he told me having a Day-of Coordinator was totally worth it!

    Glennie was super friendly, professional, and easy to work with. She came to our venue walk-through, our rehearsal, and came early to our rental to pick up stuff to take to the venue. She also made a master itinerary well in advance of the wedding so all vendors and those involved in the wedding were aware of the game plan.

    Glennie also was easy to get ahold of and always replied to my inquiries in a timely manner. She's very realistic and works with your vision and budget! She found the dessert vendor for us (Wednesday Cakes) and they were awesome as well. I truly believe that Glennie made our wedding a million times more enjoyable because we didn't have to figure everything out by ourselves. I'll add photos to this review once I get them from the photographers.

    Our Lead Planner Glendale "Glennie" Calmerin Ghosted us 2 weeks prior to the Wedding

    We were originally excited to work with Calmerin for our day of wedding coordinator however we discovered two weeks before our wedding day that what was promised in our original discussion were not going to be delivered. Glendale (Glennie) the owner promised a lead planner and two coordinator assistants and use of a generator in case of power outage. Two weeks before wedding day, we were first told by the assistants that the lead planner would be at our Wedding Rehearsal and TBD for our wedding. Then her assistants told us that she would be at neither event due to over booking. Then the assistants told us that neither of them could be at the wedding rehearsal because of a wedding conflict. Then they told us maybe an assistant Jessica could attend. During all this ambiguity and confusion both assistants admitted that they were only made aware during our phone call two weeks before the wedding that they would be running the show on their own without Glennie. Through all of this back and forth we requested by email and voicemail that Glennie explain what is happening so we can get clarity on what services would be provided. There was no direct response received from Glennie at all even after multiple requests for a quick call back for an explanation of their promised services such as having three people at the wedding to work a complicated flip from ceremony to reception in our backyard, having a generator at hand in case of power outage. None of this would be delivered though promised by the owner. Jessica did her best to provide excuses for the owners non communication starting off with she is over booked, to she is out of state, to she is sick, to she is in the hospital. All this time she was communicating with her assistants despite being possibly all these things but she refused to call us. Also note that her Instagram was actively posting through all of this of the weddings she was currently working. In the meantime we kept getting reminder emails to pay the balance of our invoice due a week before the wedding. That day we did not pay the balance and ended our services and kindly asked for a refund of our deposit. In response we received a curt email from Jessica the assistant that no refund would be provided and she referenced the no refund clause in the contract and sited services they had already provided such as contacting vendors and creating a timeline. Note that their contacting vendors was not needed because it was duplicative of what I had already done also the timeline they created was incorrect and unusable. In addition the Google sheets they used kept referring to a bride and bridal party when we are two grooms getting married. It was tactless, inaccurate, and plain useless what they did.

    Regarding her assistants, bless their hearts, my fiancé is a designer and created detailed floor plans, diagrams, and build guides for our coordinators to use to understand how the flip and wedding should be produced. Jessica was lost in these floor plans and did not know how to read a map or understand how to use a legend on a map. She had to rely on the DJ to explain things. When we asked her for questions or comments all we received were meaningless promises to execute without actually demonstrating that they had digested the information. I had to specifically say that "you can promise till the cows come home that you'll look at our plans but if you have no questions or comments that means you haven't done your work. Please study the floor plans and send us your questions ASAP."

    Bottom line is that wedding planning is already stressful on the couple but to add a vendor that ghosts you two weeks before the day and over promises but doesn't demonstrate their ability to execute. That is unnecessary stress I would never want on any other wedding couple. Please avoid this company and the people who work here. I do not want anyone to experience the terrible experience we had with them especially less than two weeks before your wedding.

    Only one week before the wedding, we moved forward without Calmerin. In the end we worked with the resources that we had and it turned out our flip required the help of 8 people total. That is far more than what Calmerin assumed was needed for the Flip. That was something Calmerin never recognized or expressed concern about. I’d expect that as planners Calmerin could have planned for this but instead they shirked they’re responsibilities, ignored the notes we gave them, and the lead planner Glennie decided to ghost us.
