CAM is an absolutely amazing venue for wedding celebrations. We used it both Friday night for a Welcome Party and Sat. night for the wedding reception. Part of the reason we selected the venue was that it has a gorgeous patio for outside events and also a lovely indoor reception hall in case of bad weather. As it so happened, due to thunderstorms, we did have to set up inside for the Welcome Party, and I was so thankful we had that option without worrying about tents.
Heather Ivady is the event coordinator and she was absolutely wonderful from the time we expressed interest in reserving the museum throughout the entire wedding weekend six months later. She was extremely professional and went well above and beyond what was expected of her. She has a great sense of humor and was not ruffled by requests or last minute adjustments, and she also has a positive working relationship with local vendors.
CAM does require you to purchase alcohol thru them. Je, the person in charge of the bar services also was a delight to work with and so helpful in deciding everything from number of glasses needed to types of wine and beer to select.
We did pay a small additional fee to have two wings of the museum open one night, and guests loved being able to wander thru the exhibits and get a sense of the museum itself. This museum is so bright and festive that you really don't need many decorations to make it look and feel "wedding special".
There were just over 100 guests and the space was more than large enough to accommodate that number with room to
    spare.
It truly was the perfect place for our needs and we are so grateful to all the staff for their courtesy and assistance.

We always knew we wanted to have our wedding at CAM, and I'm so glad we were able to make that a reality. It was the perfect venue for us. The prices are really reasonable, and Heather was very flexible and easy to work with. We were able to rent the whole museum so that our guests could explore the exhibits during cocktail hour. CAM also allowed our wedding planner to set up the tent and lighting the day before the wedding. Also, another thing that was really important to us was that our guests have convenient parking and be allowed to leave their cars overnight in case they drank a little too much. CAM has an on-site parking lot and allowed cars to stay through the night. I loved using the museum as a unique wedding venue, and I would definitely recommend it to friends and family!

When we first started the search for venues, we knew we wanted something different than the typical country club reception. We looked at tons of options and the search was over when we saw CAM. The space is modern, fresh, and unique.
Planning our wedding day from a very long distance was made so much easier with Heather's help. She is everything you want in the person handling your big day: super knowledgeable and organized, super fun, with a great taste level to boot. Even with all the stress of planning a wedding, I never had one doubt that it would all come together with Heather at the reins.
Our wedding reception at CAM was absolutely magical and I highly recommend!

Beautiful and excellent venue for anything, but especially nice for a wedding. We had our wedding ceremony rained out (were going to have it at the Grove at Fort Fisher) and they worked with us to change the location quick and easy. They have ALL the facilities you could possibly need, house speakers, projector, tables, chairs, and a bar for drinks. The reception hall is elegant with tall ceilings, and can be easily decorated to fit any wedding theme. The cafe area is perfect for a cocktail hour, or for letting your guests chill out if they get tired of dancing. Our guests had an awesome time despite the rain, and it was no doubt thanks to the professionalism and flexibility of the people at Cameron Art. The only real downside is that you have to use their bar for drinks; no outside alcohol, but their prices weren't tooo bad.

CAM was the ideal wedding venue! Highly recommended.

We had our ceremony at 6pm outside in the courtyard, which was beautiful. By that time it was mostly shaded, so despite the heat it was comfortable for us and our guests. We then moved into the cafe for cocktail hour, and had the galleries open for our guests to wander through. Dinner, drinks and dancing were in the reception hall which seated our group of 110 very comfortably, including a dance floor.

We had hoped to move back outside after dinner, but the rain kept us indoors. However, it didn't matter in the end -- the indoor space was perfect, and no one even knew we changed the plan at the last minute.

Heather Ivady (the director of events, who was our contact during the planning process) was lovely and attentive, and helped make the evening a great success. We felt well-supported by the venue, and

If you're looking for a venue in Wilmington, I highly recommend CAM over the more commercial venues downtown. The price is better, and the space is beautiful and unique. Plus, your rental fee goes to support this amazing art museum, which is a huge plus.

Absolutely love CAM for my outdoor ceremony and reception! We really appreciated the flexibility of having an indoor and outdoor space in case the weather didn't work in our favor. The price was fantastic considering you get the use of the museum's white chairs and several round tables! The café offers a great space for guests to meet, greet and drink without causing congestion. I highly recommend everything about CAM. Heather (CAM's event coordinator) was a huge help and great with suggestions and layout options.
Note: Add Edison Lights in the courtyard for an evening event (you'll love the romantic feel of dancing under the lights)
I do it all over again at CAM, but hopefully I won't have to. :)
