  Very Accommodating and Professional

  This place was wonderful and versatile for a smaller sized wedding. There are not very many places in Cannon Beach to host a wedding reception. This was the perfect fit for my wedding reception. I do not have a ceremony venue because we got married right on the beach.

  We had a wonderful experience and it was absolutely stunning!

  The people were so nice and easy going. It was hard to get ahold of the event guy there some times but he was really kind and took care of us.

  I would highly recommend this venue to anyone having a small wedding. We had a Hawaiian buffet dinner provided by Malia's Grill. We provided beer on the deck. We closed down the buffet tables to make room for a dance floor. With some creative table arrangements and bringing a couple of tables of our own, we made this work for 62 people. We saved so much money using this venue and doing all the work ourselves (yes, it was a lot of work, but we had ALL DAY to do it, which was awesome). There was an outside deck that our guests enjoyed, kids included. Also, there is a playground right next to hall, a great break for little kids. The only minor trouble we had is that one of the two toilets became clogged during the reception, which left us with only one toilet unless we wanted to cross the street and use the public restrooms. We had our ceremony at Arcadia Beach State Park on a gorgeous sunny Sunday in August.

  Cannon Beach Community Hall is a great place to have your reception. They allow you to use your own vendors and the space is lovely. I rated then so lowly because after the wedding they kept our security deposit. This is after I checked in with them the next day and was informed that everything was okay. It took them over a month to send me a letter of explanation and would not speak to me about it over the phone. I have spent a responding letter requesting for them to review the situation and get back to me. They have not spent a response in over a month and a half. We were never given a cleaning check list and it states in our contact that the deposit will be refunded as long as there was not excessive damage and mess. When they kept the deposit they sited the bathrooms not being cleaned as an issue. The contract we signed was over a year before our event. The new contract has a cleaning check list that we were never provided. No one even walked the space with us. I feel they should at least respond to my concerns. I am very disappointed by their unprofessionalism.
