We recently had the privilege of celebrating the most magical day of our lives at the enchanting 173 Carlyle House, and we simply cannot express how thrilled we are with the entire experience! From the moment we stepped foot on the grounds until the last guest bid us farewell, every detail was executed flawlessly, making our special day an unforgettable celebration of love and joy.
The staff at 173 Carlyle House went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding was nothing short of perfection. From the very beginning of the planning process, they were attentive, accommodating, and genuinely excited to be part of our big day. Their expertise and dedication were evident in every aspect, guiding us through the planning with a calm and reassuring presence.
The venue itself was a picturesque and romantic setting, transporting us and our guests to a fairytale-like atmosphere. The charming architecture and lush gardens provided a stunning backdrop for our ceremony and reception, creating countless breathtaking photo opportunities that we will cherish forever.
The highlight of our wedding at 173 Carlyle House was undoubtedly the exceptional food. The catering team's culinary talents left our guests raving about the delicious and artfully presented dishes. From the delectable hors d'oeuvres during the cocktail hour to the sumptuous main-course dinner, each bite was a true delight for the taste buds. We were impressed not only with the quality of the cuisine but also with the attention to dietary preferences and restrictions, ensuring that all our guests felt catered to and included.
The outstanding customer service further added to our wonderful experience. The staff seemed to anticipate our every need, effortlessly orchestrating the flow of events and ensuring that everything ran smoothly. I can't say enough good things about the Carlyle House! It was perfect for our 150-person May wedding. They were, without a doubt, my favorite vendor to work with. The year leading up to the wedding, Gerise answered every single email and question I had promptly. You'll find during the wedding planning process that that kind of prompt communication is incredibly rare. They're incredibly experienced, so if you have any sort of off-the-wall idea, they've done a wedding like that before and can send you a layout and ideas around that. Weddings are expensive, and while we still spent more than we hoped originally, it's so great they don't try to price gouge you every step of the way like some places. Day of, we were treated very luxuriously, there were plates made up for the groom and I from the buffet line and cocktail hour by their staff, and our families felt well taken care of as well. We were able to be pretty minimal on the decor, too, as the venue is so beautiful, and there are beautiful photo opportunities everywhere. A lot of chairs, tables, and linens are included which will also save you money. The weather was touch and go day of our wedding, and apparently they kept moving the ceremony back and forth outdoors to indoors back to outdoors unbeknownst to me as the rain kept stopping and starting, which was incredibly nice of them, and we were ultimately able to get married outdoors! The paved terrace is wonderful for outdoor ceremonies since it dries quickly. They also allowed us to come a little early for photos without charge, because the rain was going to ruin our plans for photos at the park. We LOVED the fried chicken, and the shrimp and grits martini station in particular, and the charcuterie and hummus spreads were gorgeous during cocktail hour. Our bartenders followed our instructions perfectly for our signature cocktails and garnished them beautifully. If your friends are degenerates like mine, be sure to ask the bartenders not to allow shots--unlike a lot of other event venues, they'll allow it and it probably put a few of our guests over the edge by the end of the night! The stories were hilarious though so many thanks to the Carlyle House for helping us throw the beautiful ceremony and the raging reception I dreamed of! -

While you may find other venues that are lovely they will all be missing the "Gerise" factor!
- She was upfront and honest on pricing.
- She took our needs for a totally gluten and dairy free menu VERY seriously.
- She answered emails and phone calls promptly and allowed multiple visits to the venue to visualize and try out items in the space.
- Other vendors raved about her and the culture of the venue as well.
We had around 170 guest. We filled up the ballroom but with the space of the house and the beautiful yard and patio people had plenty of places to mingle and visit.
173 Carlyle is a great value and much of that value is because of Gerise! It was great to know we could depend on her.

I just wanted to take the time to thank you for everything that you did to make our reception a success, you really made what could have been a really stressful day as painless and seamless as possible for me and I really really appreciate it. I can't say enough great things about you and your staff, everyone was so attentive and sweet. The food was AMAZING and the cake looked and tasted great. I just wanted to thank you again for your professionalism and dedication to making this day, in spite of everything going on, as beautiful as possible, I really can't thank you enough. I would recommend you and your venue to anyone looking to get married or plan an event, you're a rock star! -

My daughter's wedding at the Carlyle House was absolutely a dream come true. We owe this to Gerise. She is the sweetest, most caring person you will ever meet. No detail is too big or too small for her and she takes a personal interest in everything you do. She was there every step of the way and responds so quickly to any questions you may have. She is honest and caring from beginning to end. The venue is beautiful inside and outside. The staff are amazing. The food is delicious. Look no further, if you want your wedding or event to be remembered forever and the talk of the town. November 7th, 2020 will be a day to remember and cherish forever and always! Best Venue Ever!
Our venue cancelled just 50 days out due to COVID and a friend suggested 173 Carlyle House. So glad they did! The event coordinator Gerise is an absolute dream to work with! We were able to get a date in October which was such a blessing! The venue is gorgeous with tons of Southern charm! Gerise is on top of every detail! The food was fabulous and the staff was absolutely wonderful! I’m glad that our first venue canceled. Actually the entire family including the bride was happy that our first venue canceled! If you have any reason to Book the 173 Carlyle House… Do it! Oh and the price was very reasonable!173 Carlyle House's reply:

Absolutely Amazing
Gerise was amazing at accommodating all of our requests and making sure everything was perfect for our wedding day in the midst of a pandemic! The venue is beautiful and food was delicious. Definitely the best bang for your buck in the Atlanta area173 Carlyle House's reply:

Where do I even begin?! Our wedding was absolutely wonderful! I knew from the moment I met Gerise that I could fully trust her and her staff. She made me feel so comfortable and she wasn’t trying to upcharge on every little thing like most of the other reception venues. Gerise would allow me to come and see the house whenever I needed too, she answered on emails very promptly, and made sure everything went smoothly on our big day! We had over 250 guest and everyone fit very comfortably even with a 5 piece band and a huge dance floor! We tented the outside terrace which added a lot of character to that area. The house was absolutely stunning the day of the wedding. I would recommend this venue to any bride who wants a “southern” wedding. I loved every bit of the 173Carlyle House! From it's wrap-around porch to it's vintage floors, the venue is great for any romantic-style wedding! The staff was great, especially Gerise who was always very quick to respond to any questions and concerns. It made our day a whole lot less stressful to know we could count on a venue coordinator that would make sure our wedding day was perfect- rain or shine!173 Carlyle House's reply:
