    Wow! We just celebrated a 50th wedding anniversary for my mother and father in law. The food was amazing. The service was outstanding. We could not be more pleased. I would absolutely recommend Chef Alec to anyone. This was a special evening and an amazing experience. My highest recommendation and accolades. Phenomena and amazing!!!

    Chef Bruno has been very accommodating and attentive as we plan for our wedding day. He did a tasting in Lohi at a very nice bridal boutique. Food was awesome! Can't wait for our Colorado themed wedding food.

    I immediately got a good vibe from Chef Alec after our first phone call. He knew right away the style we were going for, and he nailed it in the tasting. He came to our home and cooked us a delicious meal that we can't wait to share with our guests in August. I really look forward to working with him and I know we'll be in good hands on our wedding day.

    Our experience with Chef Bruno has been a great one. He always responds to emails very quickly which I have not always found to be the case with all vendors. He is very flexible, accommodating, and most importantly his food is delicious. He was also really helpful with putting me in touch with a day-of coordinator. It's so helpful to have a vendor that is easy to work with and that definitely describes Chef Bruno.

    Tell Chef Bruno what ideas you have and what your budget is for however many people and he will come up with a menu that works for your budget.

    Alec catered my daughter's wedding shower, formal.
    My guests were very impressed with the gourmet cousine, quality and freshness. Service was outstanding!

    They were so accommodating! We were really in an crunch and Chef Alec and his crew came through and it was wonderful! Great food and service! Highly recommend them!

    We have only tried the tasting at this point but the food Chef Alec put on was nothing short of outstanding. Watching him cook the food in front of us and show of his presentation skills was a great experience. The food quality is on par with some of best restaurants I've been too. The majority of the food was locally sourced from Colorado area (produce/meat) or flown in from the northeast or pacific (shellfish/fish). Definitely looking forward to trying his food again on our wedding day in September!

    Food was outstanding from Alec and his team. he and 3 staff members were fantastic throughout the day. We ordered the ahi tuna and bruschetta Hors d'oeuvres along with steak and salmon for the mains. Without hesitation, I would recommend chef Bruno and his team to anyone looking for caterer/chef in the Denver area.

    The wedding was for 14 people in Golden, CO. Table settings and glassware were provided by Alec.

    If value and flexibility is a decision factor, Chef Alec is your guy. He was professional from the beginning. He delivers with fine dining in mind. We were blown away by the presentation and delivery of food during our tasting event. Icing on the cake for us was his confidence to serve any recipe from any restaurant in Denver. His package is comprehensive and detailed to include everything you need to make your wedding a customized experience.

    Chef Alec was great! Helping plan a menu that was perfect with the theme of Christmas around the world. He was able to bring a little of everything to include foods that covered the diversity of our office.

    Alec did a great job in terms of professionalism and his staff were wonderful. Our small 35-person wedding event was flawlessly served. The food was light, fresh, modern, and delicious with a beautiful presentation. However, the menu was changed without our knowledge between our tasting day in May to our wedding day in June. He told us at the tasting that seasonal items may change (veggie selections, etc.) but then changed things like the salad dressing (lemon yogurt dressing to a herb yogurt dressing) and most disappointing of all, the beef entree (from dry aged beef with gorgonzola butter to a basic beef selection with not nearly as good of seasoning). We were significantly disappointed that this changed, especially since we verbally and in-writing expressed how pleased we were with the beef at the tasting menu and wanted to serve that. I understand that seasonal options change, but entrees should not. Would book again, but would stress to be VERY clear about menu items.

    Mixed Review

    We got married Summer of 2018. Chef Alex Bruno catered for us. It was an outdoor mountain wedding for about 80 guests. The upsides to Chef Bruno included very responsive and prompt communication, flexibility, easy but numerous customization options, beautiful presentation (day of), two menu picking taste testings, and great value.

    Unfortunately, if I redid my wedding, we would go with a different caterer for a few reasons. The biggest thing which was upsetting was the fact that the grooms name was spelled wrong on the menu. That was disappointing and humiliating. Beyond that, coffee we spent about $200 on never came out (a relative told me it got spilled, by whom I do not know, but I would have expected it to be replaced and/or for Alec to bring this up with my day of coordinator or maid of honor for direction if he was unsure how to proceed). Additionally the food, while fine, was not the same quality as at the menu pickings. Despite this, it was still fine, guests complimented it, and there was nothing wrong with it. Last, late night snacks I ordered didn’t appear to make it out.. I may have been too busy to notice and I never got the scoop on this.

    In terms of professionalism, Chef Bruno himself was fairly profesional. Apparently, my day of coordinator and Chef Bruno knew each other and both did not recommend each other. This caused a lot of anxiety leading up to the wedding. The day of, they did appear to work together fine and no drama arose. I did pass two members of the caterer’s staff who had broken into dessert before the event even began. This was upsetting and unprofessional, but I had a lot of other things on my mind and let it go.

    Truth be told, it’s more than a year after my wedding and I’m only now writing all my reviews. I was so upset by the name misspelling, I never bothered to inquire about the coffee or late night snacks. I am guessing, had he be been given the chance, Alec would have been responsive and addressed this.

    While I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the professionalism, what we had originally discussed did not come to fruition at the event. I used Chef Bruno for my husbands 30th birthday. We discussed a slider bar with some appetizers and sides. It was not until after the event was over I realized we never had any appetizers and the sides were not what we discussed. None the less people were satisfied with the food, I was just not completely satisfied with the price considering the missing items.

    We hired Chef Alec for our Colorado wedding in June 2018. I based my decision to use Chef Alec based off reviews as we live in California. So when our big day came around, I was over the moon excited to marry my best friend but also very let down by Chef Alec Bruno and his team and this is why:

    The -3 stars comes from the food preparation and how Chef Alec handled our disappointment. After consulting on the phone with Chef Alec numerous times, we decided on the salmon paired with pesto gnocchi and the beef shoulder paired with seasonal veggies.

    The salmon was disgustingly undercooked; my mom told me she thought it was meant to be sashimi/sushi and various other guests, including myself (the bride), ate around the center of the salmon because it was inedible. I was so hungry and debated if I would get sick or not if I ate it. Speaking of getting sick, a few of our guests actually got sick from eating the salmon. When you have professional chefs cooking your meal, there is a level of trust that they wouldn't serve undercooked fish to their guests.

    Next on the list, the beef shoulder was extremely overcooked to the point of it being dry and hard. Beef shoulder is meant to be tender enough to pull apart with a fork. Chef Alec Bruno assured us that the beef shoulder was a guest favorite and very tender.
