We are getting married next summer 2016 at The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. It is the same church that my fiance's parents were married at 41 years ago. It is a beautiful church with its stain glass window and intricate ceilings and design. Maria is the wedding planner coordinator at The Cathedral. She is professional, responsive, efficient and pleasant to work with. She does receive many wedding date inquiries per day, so if you first get the voicemail, I would suggest calling her back again. If you continuously get the voicemail, I would suggest coming to the rectory office to speak in person with her. Book as soon as you know your wedding date. The Cathedral books super fast and many times it is already filled up a year in advance. We are super excited to have our wedding day! It's going to be very memorable.

We loved our wedding mass at the Cathedral. Fr. O'Reilly was very easy to work with and very joyful during the mass - he sang the most beautiful blessing for us. Also, the Cathedral in itself is such a beautiful setting for a mass. We loved every minute of our mass and it really shows in the pictures as well. Would highly recommend if you are Catholic and want to get married in Sacramento - it doesn't get any better than this.

The Cathedral staff did a fantastic job. We had a bit of a problem when our priest couldn't perform the ceremony due to ill health, but they already had a back up lined up for us, so everything went smoothly and wonderfully! We did have to use their organist, but since we had already planned to use organ music for the ceremony, it wasn't an issue.

Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament is my parish. My biggest problem w/them was the coordinator, Maria Elena. She wasn't very organized and difficult to get a hold of sometimes. We told her at least 3 times that we wanted a bilingual mass and she kept forgetting. She also seemed to forget whenever we talked what we would talk about because she would call a week later about the same thing.

The biggest difficulty I had was getting a wedding date. I called Maria Elena to find out if my date was available and she told me she was waiting for a deposit from another couple and if she didn't receive the deposit w/in a week then the date was available. I called back a week later and she asked that I give her one more day. I called the following day and she said she needed to give them more time to respond and provide a deposit. Basically she said she gives all couples 30 days to provide a deposit and she doesn't honor that. After waiting for our day to be available we had to go with another day.

The cathedral itself is beautiful. We didn't decorate it because it's very ornate and if we had added flowers they wouldn't have been noticed. The actual wedding coordinator for rehearsal and the wedding day is very great! She helps get everyone organized and ready. She does an amazing job making the wedding party look great walking into the church and throughout the ceremony.

Father Kiernan did a great job at our ceremony. The cantor, Lola and organist, Rex did an amazing job with the music.
