We ended up having a micro wedding during the pandemic which threw everything we had planned for our special day out the window. Cathy was more than accommodating with continuing to go along with our new plan. She went above and beyond for us and we appreciate her kindness and her talent. She captured some beautiful shots of our family and I’m so grateful! I would highly recommend Cathy Smith Photography for your special occasion! -

Danielle Sent on 12/02/2016I first found Cathy by searching for an affordable wedding photographer in Hampton Roads and I am so glad that I did! We just got our photos back and couldn't be happier. We had a great time working with her at our engagement shoot and on our wedding day. She really makes an effort to get to know the couple and what their vision is for their wedding photos with her Bride Guide. I requested a few specific photos that I really wanted to get and she made sure they happened. She will definitely be hearing from us for more photo shoots in the future! -

I don't know how she did it but Cathy delivered the best pictures I have ever seen! Even with all the madness trying to get on base to the chapel, she kept her cool and delivered. She has a great professional demeanor. I will be using her again every chance I get!!! -

Better than I could have ever hoped!
I asked Cathy to do our engagement photos and be our wedding photographer. It was the best decision I made. She was amazing and she made sure everything ran smoothly. I'm normally very camera shy, but Cathy put me at ease and made it fun. I now have her beautiful pictures to cherish forever. And she is such a sweet woman too! I can't recommend her enough!! -

Wedding 03/31/2017
Cathy did an engagement shoot prior to the wedding day. The quality time getting to know the photographer was great. Being able to create a bond with the photographer before the big day makes it not so awkward on the wedding day! You’ll know a little bit about her as well as her business and how dedicated she is to get the best photos she can. Both sets of pictures came out great! Engagement and wedding! I am so in love with them. Would definitely recommend Cathy for any event! -

Absolutely amazing!!
I don’t even know where to begin when it comes to working with Cathy!! She really took the time to get to know me and understand Jeremy and I to make sure we were completely comfortable with taking photos due to previous experiences with other photographers. On our wedding day she captured every moment beautifully!! She went out of her way to make sure she got every thing I wanted covered and got a lot of small details I will treasure for the rest of my life. If you’re looking for a laid back, absolutely amazing photographer look no further because this is your lady!!! -

Absolutely Perfect!
Working with Cathy was amazing! She took the time to get to know us before hand which made working with her that much more enjoyable. We have loved every photo she had given us from our engagement photos to every single picture taken at our wedding! Plus her prices are reasonable! We look forward to working with her again!! -

Initially her quality portfolio and affordable packages are what were attractive to us (what she offers costs double her price if you are looking at other notable photographers in the area). After emailing back and forth a bit (her responsiveness is awesome, which is a huge relief for a stressed bride) and meeting with her face to face to go over what she offers in more detail, we decided to hire her! And honestly, it was 100% the BEST decision we could have made.
After having a our complimentary engagement shoot and getting those photos back, it made us SO incredibly... -
