  Rachelle and her staff were so helpful organized and professional. We had many guests that were very happy with the food options including the hors d’oeuvres. Rachelle was very organized and helpful throughout the entire process including all the changes that I had to make and also supporting me in finding other options/vendors if needed. We are so glad we booked with center plate catering and I also liked we got to keep our leftovers !

  Rachelle and Staff did an excellent job catering our weddinh, we were really impressed. Very professional and service was A1. Price was reasonable and she's more than willing to work with your budget.

  Professional, Integrity and Beyond..

  I found Rachel to be professional with a high level of integrity. I requested food based around the theme Twinkle, Twinkle, little star and she did a wonderful job. I really had no idea what I wanted at first and she came up with numerous ideas. On the day of the shower the cake company failed in their job, but Rachel came through and fixed the cake. She went above and beyond! Thank you Rachel!

  We were very glad that we chose Center of the Plate for our catering! Rachelle was really awesome when we met up with her to discuss what we wanted and she put together an amazing "southern style" menu for the wedding! Everyone loved the food (I repeatedly heard how amazing the cornbread was!) The price of everything was great! I expected to have to spend so much more than we actually spent and the quality wasn't lesser because of it, if anything everything from the food to service was worth more. Rachelle even was helping me out with a malfunction on my dress which I thought was super sweet and helpful. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the time of arrival the day of. I heard that the cocktail hour started late but I honestly thought that everything went pretty smoothly so I'm not even 100% sure since we were doing pictures at that time. I highly recommend!

  Rachelle is very easy to talk to and can cook a great dish, but undercooked by about 35 people for our wedding! We had four tables that got nothing but salad and some vegetable medley (which wasn't even on our menu). The staff had to hand wash our dishes and bring them out one by one because they didn't have enough plates either.

  Courtney, thank you for sharing your experience. I truly apologize for the inconvenience, as I prepared double the catering standard for your group. However, I realize how important food is at such a momentous occasion. The mis-steps and lack of communication between my staff was an unfortunate circumstance. My standards have been strongly reinforced to prevent this from ever occurring again.
  As communicated with your husband, I am sending you a celebratory gift basket; it also includes the resolution he suggested. I trust that you will be pleased with the offering.

  I reluctantly gave 1 star because in the end (very delayed end) the food was decent. This caterer had horrible communication from the beginning so shame on us for not honing in on that. I will admit we were concerned up to the date of the wedding and are fears were confirmed! The caterer apparently got into an accident on the way to the venue. Although that may be true we were not shown an accident report and her vehicle showed old damage….most importantly she did not communicate to us or the poor guys who were serving….they stated they tried numerous times to call her but she would not answer her calls. They had salads to serve…but no salad dressings. While we did everything we could to hold off our hungry crowd of 180 people (we went into town to buy salad dressing so we could at least serve a salad) my brother did get ahold of the caterer, after many attempts, who very unapologetically said she was in an accident and would be there soon. We served salads with our dressing and an hour later she arrived…angrily and unprofessionally told us she hoped we saved our receipts to return the dressing because she was there now with dressing. As if we should have waited an hour and a half for her. We had to change the evening by doing early speeches, lost time with our photographer and the venue (who both felt so sorry for us) Even her staff told us they were embarrassed and so sorry and would be incredibly upset if it was their event. She was rude, told us we were lucky she wasn’t hurt and that “at least the food had arrived”. She acted angry and slapped the food on plates when she FINALLY did serve the dinner and in the end of the evening aplologized for being short and defensive. No concessions, nothing offered in the way of a discount…just a half hearted sorry for being rude. Please save yourself the stress and uncertainty and stay far away from this caterer. I was told that she used to be a great person to work with several years ago but has definitely changed for whatever reason and is no longer a preferred caterer by our venue.

  Still not sure where Rachel gets good reviews. She planned my son and daughter in law wedding and it was a disaster to say the least. All the food was undercooked..The decorating had to be completed by family members. She does not get any stars on this end whatsoever

  After over 2 years, I can’t believe that you took the time to post a review. It is admittedly appalling; from your behavior and interference prior to their special day to the same at their ceremony and reception. And, now, with this frivolous review. It goes to show your character in such poor light. Amidst all of your intrusion and lack of promised supports you gave in lieu of paying for skilled staff, I can’t fathom how you perpetuate this fictitious story. So, there is no need for me to argue a moot point in order to justify my abilities and positive reviews.
  The one thing that I learned from their event was to NEVER allow a client to dismiss NECESSARY staffing for lack of desire to pay for the service. This is how I continue to thrive as a caterer. I do not waiver on my standards.
  Please, stop harassing me. This was requested in July of 2015. I repeat the request publically today.
