I cannot say enough great things about Kristen and the Chambers Walk staff. From the start, Kristen was extremely responsive by email and phone. Our decision to choose Chambers Walk as our catering group was solidified after we came in for our tasting. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but from the moment we stepped into Chambers Walk, everyone made us feel like they wanted nothing more than to make our wedding day special.
After choosing Chambers Walk as our catering group, we then went back and met with Kristen regarding the specifics of our day. She is extremely detail-oriented and took notes on absolutely everything that came out of our mouths. Given that my husband...I cannot say enough great things about Kristen and the Chambers Walk staff. From the start, Kristen was extremely responsive by email and phone. Our decision to choose Chambers Walk as our catering group was solidified after we came in for our tasting. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but from the moment we stepped into Chambers Walk, everyone made us feel like they wanted nothing more than to make our wedding day special.
After choosing Chambers Walk as our catering group, we then went back and met with Kristen regarding the specifics of our day. She is extremely detail-oriented and took notes on absolutely everything that came out of our mouths. Given that my husband and I live in NYC, it was great to have someone who was familiar with our venue organizing rentals, food and the bar. She took on a lot of responsibility, which allowed us to focus on other wedding tasks.
We had some special asks which Kristen also was able to accommodate. We had a pizza truck supplementing our main meal at the wedding and Kristen was able to ease any logistical concerns we had regarding the serving of our food. Additionally, we requested a lot of specialty beers. Kristen served as the point of contact in discussing all these requests with the liquor/beer provider and was able to get us everything that we wanted! When a few days out the forecast showed chilly weather, Kristen worked with our rental group to get heaters and tent sidewalls so that our guests felt comfortable in the chilly Fall night!
While Kristen couldn't be there the day of our wedding, she put our wedding in the great hands of Bogden. He did an amazing job making sure our wedding ran smoothly (set up/clean up - handled perfectly). The food at the wedding got great reviews (especially the pasta station!). -

Finding a caterer was the hardest part of planning our wedding as our outdoor venue did not provide a kitchen or running water (just electricity). I emailed and spoke to about five caterers who all suggested that I look into a pig roast or perhaps food trucks if I wanted hot food at the reception. As I animal activist the thought of a dead splayed-open animal at my wedding repulsed me, as did the exhaust, noise, and queuing associated with food trucks.
Chambers Walk and caterer Kristen had received good reviews here on Wedding Wire, but I was done with email, filling out web forms, and phone calls that didn't get returned or followed up. So I just showed up at Chambers Walk and sat outside of Kristen's office. She brought me in, got out her pen and paper, and then listened to me for an HOUR describe my dream wedding. I waved my arms around a lot and we looked at web sites and Google earth. We hit it off. She showed me how organized she is on paper and I was sold.
Kristen was not only there via phone but she was right there at the other end of the keyboard right up to the day before the wedding asking questions and providing answers. To me that is extremely important as I work online and need my vendors to be online too.
The food at the wedding got rave reviews, especially the pumpkin ravioli, sliders, and crab cakes. I asked Kristen to present a "Stuff A Potato" table and despite never doing it before, she came through. Guests were thrilled.
Set up, clean up -- everything handled meticulously. Kristen and Chambers Walk deserve ten stars!! -

Loved loved loved our wedding cake! We had our wedding at Hamilton Manor, in Hamilton, and this baker was included in our package. We worked with Laura Mangone, and she was awesome! Very personable and reasonable. She helped me choose my cake, and when we came for the tasting my fiance couldnt make it so she even made me a tray to bring him home so he could taste everything. We ended up getting a vanilla cake with white buttercream frosting and we upgraded at a cost of $1 per person to the fresh raspberry mousse--- it was outstanding! everyone at our wedding raved about the cake! and we saved the top layer of the cake for our one...Loved loved loved our wedding cake! Laura was so considerate and answered all of my million e-mails and would talk my calls at the drop of a hat. She was kind and willing to work with me even though I must have changed the cake a billion and one times. She made time for me and was very understanding. On the day of our wedding, the cakes were incredible! She made a traditional wedding cake and a groom's cake for my husband and both very STUNNING! They were just what I wanted. I could have NOT been more PLEASED. I highly recommend Chamber's Walk to all of my friends. The pastry chef at Chambers Walk is astounding!! Not only is the quality and variety of their cakes and fillings superb, but we just brought in a picture of a very intricate cake that we wanted and on the day of the wedding, an exact replica was brought to the reception venue! Simply Stunning!!! I cannot say enough good things about this place!!The pastry chef at Chambers Walk is astounding!! First things first... the cake was absolutely DELICIOUS. Laura was very helpful and receptive in our cake design, both accepting and elevating our ideas. She even offered to let us use her personal belongings as a cake topper! Chambers Walk was part of our wedding package with Hamilton Hilton Garden Inn & Marsilio's, but did not disappoint. We even ended up having our rehearsal dinner the night before at their restaurant, which was both excellent food and fairly priced. The only unfortunate thing was that our cake was displayed at the wedding with some pretty obvious damage to the exterior that went unfixed (and seemingly unnoticed by staff). We have no way to know if that happened prior to...First things first... the cake was absolutely DELICIOUS. Despite that, we'd definitely recommend Chambers Walk... either for a cake, a delicious night of dinner, or both!
