The Roanoke City Market Building Reviews

I couldn't have picked a better venue for my winter wedding. The layout for the ceremony and reception was everything I've dreamed of.

Kaylee at Charter Hall was hands down amazing. She helped us with everything related to the City Market Building. The staff was super friendly! They even helped bring things up to the third floor for us (even though that wasn't their job). All chairs and tables were set up just how we asked and the space was very clean. The space is so fun and unique. It really shows off Downtown Roanoke. (Photos coming soon)

Charter Hall is a gem in the center of downtown Roanoke. At the heart of the action and overlooking all of the iconic landmarks, Charter Hall provided the perfect space for us to welcome our out of town guests and show them a good time.

We loved the unique space and many options we had at Charter Hall; they’ll certainly helped us get exactly what we were looking for! Throughout the process of planning our wedding, Kalee at Charter Hall was flexible and helped in every way possible. She is incredibly sweet and made planning much easier and more enjoyable. We are so grateful to have found the perfect venue for the perfect day!

My husband and I were very pleased to have a venue that allowed us to have both our ceremony AND reception in the same location. We had a "coffee hour" that gave the Charter Hall staff time to switch the room from our ceremony to reception. We weren't guaranteed to have the day before to rehearse, but since no one rented the space we were able to go in the day before to decorate for the ceremony + rehearse that evening. The staff was very easy to communicate and work with.

Michelle and her work crew are absolutely the best!! Their hospitality was hands down awesome !! Highly recommend them for any of your festivities !!

Charter Hall was one of the only venues that worked with a 200+ guest list. The bar and stage set up is nice. They have tables and chairs available at no extra cost. The chairs are a bit outdated, but again, they were free so we used them. We had to deal with some staffing changes throughout the planning process, which was difficult at times, but overall would recommend this venue.
