  Our experience with this Macie was nothing short of magical! It felt like Macie was a part of our celebration, seamlessly blending in while capturing the genuine emotions + joy of our special day. Her positive + calming energy made everyone feel comfortable + at ease. Her incredible eye for photography captured moments that we will cherish forever + we are beyond grateful.

  Macie is photographer perfection

  Macie is the best! I am so glad we hired her, I literally could not have pulled off my wedding without her. She is so kind, patient, and compassionate while also being extremely professional and organized. By far my favorite vendor to work with Macie made me feel as if we had been friends for years which is such a wonderful skill for a photographer because I typically don't like to be photographed but she made me feel so comfortable with her. Would absolutely book her again and recommend her to everyone. I LOVED working with her.

  Best Wedding Photographer Ever!

  Macie with Chasing Lux Photo was hands down amazing!! She took my wedding pictures and it couldn’t have turned out anymore beautiful- such a perfect replica of all the love and fun from our big day!   Macie is perfection!

  Macie is everything you want in a photographer! She is so kind, extremely professional, flexible when needed, very responsive, and most of all she is AMAZING at what she does! I put all my trust in her to get the best shots and I was not disappointed. I really didn’t expect to get SO many pictures back but she really captured every moment from start to finish. If you aren’t good with posing or are uncomfortable taking photos, she makes it feel like an effortless experience. She is worth every penny spent and more! You need to book Macie for your wedding!

  Wonderful person

  Marcie is the person you would want to hire for you wedding! She captures all the moments you wouldn’t think of. She’s so sweet and so attentive! If I needed help she was there. She made us laugh when we were having our engagement photos taken since we were new. She laughed, cried and truly enjoyed our wedding as if she was a guest. She is the person I’ll always keep in mind when I want to have photos taken!

  Phenomenal!

  We were so happy that we booked Macie for our engagement photos and our wedding! Macie was a great presence to have on the wedding day, and before. As folks who aren’t into PDA, she really made us feel at ease during both photo shoots. She really knows how to bring out genuine emotion in photos. She made it so easy and fun, and we were so happy with the beautiful photos we got from both the engagement and the wedding day. We can’t say enough great things about Macie!!

  Incredible!

  We had a shoot with Macy and the experience was incredible! From signing up, submitting payment, directions to the spot, and the shoot itself, the process was seamless. Macy even worked around our 6 month old and helped carry our props to different spots. The day was incredible, she provided great references for hair, makeup, and florists. We will certainly utilize her service again in the future and truly can't thank her enough for the lifelong memory she was able to provide.

  Captured our day perfectly!

  Macie was amazing! We are obsessed with all of the pictures she captured from our wedding day -- and she truly captured everything! I could spend hours looking through all of the pictures and I really feel like I am reliving our day. Macie captured every single little detail and small moments from throughout our day.   We can't recommend Macie/Chasing Lux Photo enough!!! Not only is she an extremely talented photographer, but she is so easy and professional to work with as well. She took our engagement and wedding photos, and we are obsessed with how they turned out. My family and friends keep telling us that our wedding pictures look like a Bridal magazine feature because of how beautiful and high-quality the are. Don't hesitate on hiring her - she's amazing.

  Hire This Girl!

  We had an absolutely incredible experience with Chasing Lux. We hired Macie for both our wedding photography and our engagement shoot, and couldn't be happier.
  
  My wife and I were a bit nervous for the engagement shoot since we'd never done a photo shoot before, and posing for pictures doesn't always come naturally to us. Macie made the whole process so easy and so much fun. She was incredibly professional and guided us gently but confidently so our pictures came out perfectly.
  
  At the wedding, she somehow was always in the right place at at right time, but also always discreet. She captured for us so many brief beautiful moments that could so easily have been missed. Our wedding photos were so beautiful, and not once were we stressed about pictures on our wedding day.
  
  Macie communicated clearly and was always very responsive. Her talent was so apparent in how she worked, and in the photos she delivered. It was so clear that Macie is more than a photographer, but a gifted artist with passion for her craft. We are so happy to have been her subjects! Overall we could not have asked for a better photographer, and would recommend her to anyone.

  Stop what you’re doing and BOOK. MACIE. NOW! My fiancé and I were heading to the mountains and had planned to do our engagement session, but 2 days before our original photographer cancelled. I went straight to Instagram and started scrolling through pictures (in a panic) under hashtags for photographers in the smoky mountains/gatlinburg area and came across Chasing Lux (thank the Lord!). I messaged her knowing it was a long shot since it was so last minute. Macie messaged me back within the hour and was SO accommodating (even giving me options for days/times). The morning of our pictures it was raining & of course I forgot an umbrella. Macie gave me hers, stood in the rain to take our pictures, drove to multiple locations, and even got all of our pictures back to us exactly 1 week later. I will forever be thankful that Macie chose to help us out with such short notice and was a joy to be around. She turned a stressful situation into a fun memory for my fiancé and I.   I can’t say enough amazing things about Macie. Seriously so kind and professional. She went above and beyond for our engagement and wedding. My husband and I have huge dysfunctional families. A photographers worst nightmare and macie wrangled them all together and captured every moment effortlessly. Her grace and patience is unmatched not to mention the quality of the pictures was outstanding and literally I had 32 SNEAK PEAKS before my wedding day was even over. How crazy is that!!!   Sweet and stress free

  Macie at Chasing Lux was such a pleasure to work with. Her prices are so fair and easily fit in any budget. The package was also customizable as we add a second shooter for the ceremony and cocktail hour.
  Macie was great at making us feel comfortable and open to be ourselves during picture time.

  Disappointed sadly

  I received 385 pictures unfortunately 79 were duplicates made into black & white, there were some that were blurry and had to be cropped, and the ones of our family just look bad with no posing and uneven alignment. There are some good ones, don't get me wrong what she took of the building and our decorations were nice. We gave Macie full creative control based on what we saw on her website but the quality and creativity of work we received didn't reflect that. Most of what we got seemed careless and could’ve been achieved with a cell phone. A year of planning our wedding, thousands of dollars spent, countless hours of work, people that traveled from several states to celebrate with us and the pictures to document all that are lacking and left us very disappointed.
