I had ordered invitations from these people through Initial Design, Ltd. The quality of these invitations are amazing! We had done a destination wedding in Puerto Rico, and the invitation turned out like a dream. The proofs were a reasonable price, the shipping was super fast. The price of these are a little high but well worth it.

I was a last minute bride. But I had my invitations ordered and on their way from another vendor--they day I went to pick them up (almost a month from my wedding day) they told me they would not have them!!! (Yup, ever) So I used Checkerboard, they turned 125 invitations around for me in 2 days!!! They were AMAZING. They came out beautifully, I could not have been more pleased. I will forever use them for any invitations I need done--they were hero's here. They have a lot of selection too, so that was a plus.

I was a last minute bride. But I had my invitations ordered and on their way from another vendor--they day I went to pick them up (almost a month from my wedding day) they told me they would not have them!!! (Yup, ever) So I used Checkerboard, they turned 125 invitations around for me in 2 days!!! They were AMAZING. They came out beautifully, I could not have been more pleased. I read other bad reviews and your customer service with damaged goods and did not listen, big mistake. When our invitations arrived they were delivered in a wet and damaged box. Invitations had a musty smell. We had to mail them out because it was a destination wedding and we had no more time. Tim in customer care was not helpful and would only talk to my retailer who sold me the invitations despite the fact that the box was shipped directly from them to my home. According to the state they are located in, they are responsible. Because their contract is with Fedex they would not allow me to fill out FedEx forms for the damages even though I saved the damaged box, packing, boxes and some invitations, envelopes, etc. and the FedEx delivery person made a record of the wet and damaged box when he delivered it to me. I love their invitations but WOULD NOT USE THEM. They are unproffesional and DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER the one paying for their invitations. They hold the retailer that had nothing to do with the problem and the one that cannot do anything about it like in this case with FedEx responsible for making me happy. THAT IS WRONG!!!!!!! Checkerboard you mailed it from your facility to my home-my box arrived damaged-put in a claim! I did not order escort cards, programs and so much more I wanted to order because of your LACK OF CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS. And YES I say your customers because we the consumer chose you Checkerboard, we chose you amongst a very large amount of wedding invitation companies and you hide behind the retailer, its wrong.

My invitations arrived damaged with bent corners on over 50 of the 125 invitations I ordered. I contacted Checkerboard and they never responded to my emails/calls only decided to hide behind the vendor I dealt with. The only remedy they proposed was to mail me new ones. I informed the company this was not an option as I have to get these out in the mail and stuff them myself. They were unwilling to issue any type of credit and have been a nightmare to deal with. I had my rep deal with a supervisor named Tim and even his supervisor who both echoed the same lackluster response. I spent good money to get perfect invitations and was left with anything but. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY AS THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS!!! I had to mail out subpar invitations and they don't care about the customer.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Do not use these people and do not believe their website. My invitations contained 2 errors. TWO!!!

First, they said I was getting married in 1915! They also misspelled California (Callifornia). While they rectified the first mistake (which made me late on getting out my invitations), the second mistake was never fixed. When I complained for the second time, they were unapologetic and did not offer any sort of refund or ANYTHING. They claim to have "quality control experts" review every invitation, which is clearly a lie. This company is a FRAUD. Please learn from my mistake and do not take a chance with these people. They do not stand behind their work and they have TERRIBLE customer service.
