Rosalind was the BEST decision we could have made for our wedding...she is the most professional yet flexible, kind, and incredibly hard-working person I could ever have envisioned to have planned our wedding! And boy, did we give her a lot: she organized and planned a beach bbq for our welcome dinner the night before our wedding, an indian wedding ceremony in the morning, followed by lunch, and a beach reception in the evening....all for 100+ guests! Each step of the way, she reassured us that we were doing fine with timing and always went the extra step to help us negotiate prices down and facilitated at times difficult conversations with our vendors. Despite small hiccups, she kept me calm and on time for all our events...we NEVER would have pulled off a dream wedding without her. The day of the wedding events, as long as I saw her, I felt calm that everything would be ok :-) Turks & Caicos is an expensive island, and there are several restrictions for sourcing items locally...she helped us navigate all of these items including coming up with creative solutions. If you are planning a wedding, no matter the size or special requests, Rosalind is your woman! -

My husband and I had the great pleasure of working with Rosalind McKensie as our wedding planner. Words are not enough to express how grateful we are. From the very start she was on top of everything, going above and beyond her job duties and expectations.
We planned a destination wedding to Turks and Caicos not really knowing what to expect. We knew we wanted to plan a full week trip with extra activities beyond just the ceremony and wedding reception. She was able to coordinate with all vendors necessary to setup a welcome BBQ, snorkel cruise, and rehearsal brunch.
She was there every step of the way for all the individual events planned, which was both unexpected and a relief. She checked into the hotel when we did and was available whenever we needed her.
For the day of the wedding I cannot express enough gratitude towards her for the calming presence and impeccable timing and performance. Everything planned in the months prior were executed flawlessly and in the end we had our dream wedding come true.Cinnamon Sun Events's reply:

Holly Sent on 06/17/2017Rosalind, owner and wedding coordinator for Cinnamon Sun Events is highly recommended for weddings/events on Providenciales. In August 2016, I was connected with her through our resort, Ocean Club East. I am grateful that she responded immediately to my inquiry. We exchanged over 400 emails... lol. Rosalind kindly replied as quickly as possible which was comforting during this process. Planning an international wedding is not easy and I can't imagine being successful without the help of a coordinator such as Rosalind. She is extremely laid back and organized which is a perfect combo. I was stressed out and anxious in the 2-3 months leading up to the wedding. Rosalind did her best to calm me down and reassure me that everything would be perfect. She was right! All 3 events ended up going exactly as planned, if not better. The moment we arrived on Provo, I released all of my stress because everything within my control went smoothly and was completed. Showtime for Rosalind... and she did not disappoint. When my guests arrived, I had the front desk hand out Welcome Bags filled with local products and other things. Rosalind helped organized the delivery of bottles of local rum and hot sauce to the lobby before my arrival. We had a total of 3 events for our guests that were all coordinated through her. On Friday night, we scheduled a 2 hour Welcome Party with a DJ, buffet, and drinks. We had so much fun, we made a 2 hr extension for a total of 4 hours. This was a major icebreaker for the family and friends. I think this was key to a successful weekend. The ceremony on the beach was gorgeous! The reception at Opus was everything we wanted and more. Beautiful! The cake looked exactly like the pic I sent Rosalind. We had a breakfast buffet the next morning that was a hit! All of this was possible because of Rosalind and her connections. We couldn't be happier with the outcome of the wedding weekend. Thank you again! -

I worked with Rosalind for 6 months planning my wedding for December 2021. At first, everything seemed perfect. I hired Cinammon Sun Events because I read wonderful reviews. Leading up to the wedding, everything was very smooth. She worked with my budget well. I made requests and they were added to the plan. Rosalind herself is not on the island, as she lives in Canada. So she is not there herself. Keep that in mind. I planned my wedding for 6 months with someone who was not even near the property. Her partner Alexis was in charge of coordinating my wedding day. I met with her the day before the event. Not many details were covered, but she seemed to understand how things were supposed to go down. Wedding day was a disaster. Pastor was 40 minutes late, DJ didn't show, and Rosalind's partner Alexis was very unattentive. The area was not blocked off and when I got to the aisle to walk down, a resort staff member came down the aisle towards me with a laundry cart. It was so unprofessional. We had to hire a photographer and a videographer on our own. and we paid them for a certain amount of time. So we were way behind schedule, and our photographer HAD to leave at 5pm. We got married at Windsong on the Reef. After the ceremony, the general manager of Windsong came to apologize to me. She was highly upset and told me there was no excuse for what happened. She made things right with my husband and I. CINAMMON SUN EVENTS did NOT. After wedding day, I emailed Rosalind and detailed the events. I was clearly very distraught and disappointed. I told her how my special day was ruined. My husband and I were both very disappointed in the disorganization and chaos we had to deal with. We are kind & understanding people and realize that things can't always go perfectly. But there were a number of issues and poor coordination throughout the event. Rosalind responded quickly and said she was sorry to hear it and she would talk to the vendors to find out what happened. 6 days after the wedding, she finally emailed me back. She literally copied and pasted each paragraph I wrote with my details of what happened, and ARGUED and MADE EXCUSES for everything that went wrong. She took no responsibility whatsoever. It was highly unprofessional. As I read the email, I was shocked that Windsong on the Reef employs Cinammon Sun Events as their wedding planner. It would have been better if she had never responded to me at all. She argued every problem I had, and made excuses. At one point, she basically said my emotions were what caused the day to go wrong. She refused to give us any compensation, and refused to do anything to make it right. Worst of all, she was not even there and she responded to me as if she were in my shoes and knew exactly what happened that day. DO NOT work with cinammon sun events. The resort itself- Windsong on the Reef- was excellent and the GM made things right with us on her part. Rosalind Mckensie was extremely unprofessional and rude.
