Our wedding reception was beautiful here. The ability to be so close to downtown St. Paul was so much fun and there was a great backdrop for pictures. For us it was important to have a great venue that didn't need extra draping or uplighting, which we got here. The venue was beautiful all on its own.

In addition to the great space, the team was fantastic. Every time I had a question Brittany was willing to chat it through and make adjustments when needed. The day of team was also great. Would definitely recommend this venue.

Brittany and the staff and the Harriet Island Pavilion were absolutely amazing! Throughout the entire process she was happy to answer any questions that I had and was always quick to respond. Harriet Island was the perfect place to have a fun, laid-back wedding. I am sure that a more formal affair would work well here as well. It is a gorgeous space, and the mix of nature and the St. Paul skyline make for an absolutely perfect backdrop. Thank you to Brittany and all of the staff and Harriet Island for making our night amazing!

INCREDIBLE place to have your wedding. Beautiful space, amazing staff, super cheap considering all you get. I would tell anyone to have a wedding here in a heartbeat.

I am so glad that I stood in line in May 2010 for this venue. It was well worth the wait and was the favorite part of my wedding! I had so many compliments on the venue and the beautiful views of the city that went along with it. I did not encounter any problems while working with Katie. She was very helpful and was there the morning of the wedding to help set everything up and was always available for questions. Thank you Katie for helping to make that the best day of our lives!

Harriet Island was wonderful to work with! The location and overall venue was amazing and we couldn't have asked for a better spot to hold a wedding! Katie (my contact person) was always there to answer any question I had and she was extremely helpful and friendly. In our meeting we went over what would happen if it rained and she was very good at providing me with options and when it did rain the day of the wedding it was easy to make a decision. The staff at Harriet Island was also wonderful. I never once had to think about if things were done right and as a type A person all of the little details were done well by the staff leaving me to just focus on enjoying my wedding day! I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a great location and awesome people to work with!

Harriet Island was absolutely wonderful to work with. The space is gorgeous and the staff were very flexible about setting both the ceremony and reception spaces up in whatever layout we wanted. They helped us decorate the morning of the event and were great about responding to all of our questions and requests.

We had the added challenge of prolonged flooding. Harriet Island is in a flood plain and while flooding is usually not a risk in May, the near-record setting snow we had made it doubtful as to whether we would be able to use the space. When the space was in doubt, the Harriet Island staff did everything in their power to help us find suitable backup options. We were thrilled that we eventually got to have our wedding at Harriet because the staff was great and the site was just perfect.

This sight is hard to get but totally worth it. I had my wedding there and have been to another wedding there and I think it is the most beautiful place to have a wedding in the cities. Also, the price is very very reasonable.

The Harriet Island Staff was wonderful to work with. From timely response during planning process to assistance the day of, their team was fabulous. The space itself is amazing, creating a perfect reception location, but without an organized, flexible, detailed team our event wouldn't have been flawless as it was. We can't thank the team enough!

Katie was awesome to work with! Anytime I had a question, she was extremely quick to respond. I was also extremely happy with the way the crew implemented plan B to have my ceremony inside the pavilion instead of outside at raspberry island. Everything looked beautiful and seemed to be run very smoothly!

The Harriet Island location is amazing! The views are beautiful and their are many many many places to take photos. I would recommend this location to any bride who wants an outdoor ceremony and/or a reception inside the Pavilion. I liked the flexibility in being able to select all of my own vendors as well as the rental of the Pavilion is very reasonable! I would also recommend getting the ceiling decor (which you have to get through another vendor of your choice) but it really adds to the ambiance of the venue. The Pavilion books up quick, so if you want it make sure to check it out 9-12 months in advance!

Harriet Island was a great place to get married and have a wedding reception. They have all of the tables and chairs you need included in the event fee and you get the entire day to set up. They are very professional and make sure that you have everything you need. I would absolutely recommend Harriet Island for your wedding.

The Pavilion at Harriet Island provided the perfect setting for our wedding this past summer. We selected the venue due to it's capacity, it's indoor/outdoor location, and it's flexibility with vendors (meaning we could bring in our own for food / beverage / DJ). Brittany was absolutely fantastic to work with. As an out-of-town bride, she made multiple appointments to meet with me and also with my mom on separate occasions. She had great recommendations for vendors and was able to provide insight on what has/has not worked in the past. The only reason I docked a star for value is that it does not have air conditioning - since 99% of the time there's a great breeze off the river. Our day was the hottest of the summer and absolutely no air movement - making it a bit miserable until everyone loosened up on the dance floor! Overall I HIGHLY recommend this venue if you're looking for excellent service and a flexible space on a moderate budget.

It's tricky getting the date you want! We were super lucky . We looked a year out. Keep in mind they provide chairs and tables and that's it!

Such a great spot for a wedding. Nice big beautiful indoor venue with two great outdoor patios. It is perfect to see the river and downtown Saint Paul in the background. The staff was easy to work with and even helped us set up the day of the event. They run a very efficient event during all steps. It was nice to have everything laid out before and they have great flexibility in choosing a caterer and for beverage options. Being a park and city owned it may be a tad expensive but it was worth it for us.

So this is a mixed review. Venue itself is amazing, beautiful met all our needs. Value great esp because you can find your own caterer which can save a lot of money. The main contact for Harriet Island was great to work with and very responsive. However, the St. Paul police officer which we had to pay $45/hr, was no where to be found during the reception/ceremony and random people walked into our reception and even waited in line at the open bar! The evening city staff member was terrible, not on site when we needed the microphones to give toasts and backup staff didn't know how to use them or what to use. Also we were promised that the back room with all of our personal belongings and gifts would be locked up, it wasn't. All in all, great venue, needs better staffing and a harsh talking to the police department.

Gorgeous place!! I loved every minute of my river wedding. They have a lot of rules so just pay attention to everything and you will be fine. I got so many comments about how beautiful the building and views were.

It is run by park services, so there are certain rules that were slightly annoying. Had to share public bathrooms (bathroom basket supplies were stolen by prom kids). We had to stop serving alcohol and stop the music by 11:30. We couldn't use the ceremony chairs inside, even though I paid for them. All little things that weren't a huge deal but annoying none the less. The building and views are awesome. They let you use your own vendors which saved us a ton. The rental fee is very inexpensive too.

The site was beautiful and it's where my husband and I had our first date. It took a long time to book the site though and we had to jump through a lot of hoops which was frustrating since we had a very short engagement. We loved having the reception there though

Harriet Island is an excellent park with a nice pavilion. All of the chairs and tables were set up and taken down as they were supposed to. The only issues we had were that it was sometimes hard to get a hold of someone during the planning phase, and that our contact person was not there the day of the event. Without our contact person, Katie, the other workers did not know the contingency plan for rain which ended up causing some extra stress. The City of Saint Paul also had some extra rules and regulations which made finding vendors a bit tougher. Overall, I was happy with the venue which is an excellent place to get married.
