Casey was very helpful the day of! Everything was exactly what we expected! It was the most perfect day!

The Cliff House was an absolute dream. The views overlooking the ocean in the Atlantic Ballroom and North Point Lawn were breathtaking - you felt like you were on top of the world! In addition to the views, the staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. They went out of their way to be kind and helpful to EVERYONE not just the wedding party. My guests were extremely gracious of their kindness.

Where can I begin, my husband and I started going to the Cliff House 6-7 years ago and we absolutely fell in love with it. So we would always say if we ever were to get married this would be the spot! Moving forward, he proposed and the planning begins. Everyone from management to the reservation department was so helpful and accommodating every step of the way. Then Covid hit, then date changes and postponements, but not once did they give up on us. They work will us to make sure our wedding day was perfect and that’s exactly what it was!! The food tastings, the allergy accommodations, the specialty drinks, the attention to safety and Covid protocols were amazing. A picture perfect wedding day to remember for the rest of our lives. Thank you to everyone who made it look so beautiful. I would like to give a special thank you to Cate Chapman & Mary Ryan for all you patience and help throughout this whole crazy time!!

We got married at the Cliff House on 8/1/20. We were supposed to get married in MA but due to COVID, 2 months before we moved it to Cliff House. Pauline was so amazing to work with from the start, I had many questions and emails since we had to plan the wedding in 2 months and she was so patient and kind. Mary was our day of coordinator and she was phenomenal to work with. Lots of late night calls and emails. She was really creative on how to make the day feel like a really wedding in COVID times. She was so flexible and attentive. James was also so kind and helpful! The venue itself is one of the most breathtaking places I have ever been. We had people come from all over and they were in awe of the place. Everyone felt super safe in COVID times and they keep the property pristine! I would highly recommend!

Our wedding and stay at Cliff House Maine was absolutely perfect. People couldn’t stop talking about the food, venue, and beautiful weather (we got married in late August). The amount of detail put in by the coordinating team was outstanding, Jessica, Cate and Allie especially. Every thing we asked for and requested was executed perfectly. It is very pricey (minimums must be met) but worth it, and if you have a lot of people it’s easy to do!

Last weekend we got married at the Cliff House and it couldn't have been any more perfect. The weather was beautiful, the setting was gorgeous, the staff was amazing from the moment we got there to the moment we left, and al of our guests were taken back by the details and overall wow-factor Cliff House offers. A huge thanks to Jaime for being there with us on our special day and ensuring it was perfect. And another big thanks to Tommy, who we visited quite frequently over the last year leading up to our wedding day, for great drink recommendations, amazing service, and fun conversations. This past weekend I married my best friend at easily the most beautiful resort on the east coast! The view is breathtaking, the rooms are unbelievable, and the hotel staff is amazing!

Jaime and the entire catering staff were awesome. Our entire weekend couldn't have gotten any better. And our guests who stayed on site were absolutely stunned by the accommodations Cliff House has to offer. Jaime's experience as a wedding coordinator has truly shown over the past few weeks. She truly took our wedding experience to the next level!

When we originally booked our wedding at Cliff House, the place looked like a war zone! They were right in the middle of their transformation into what it has become today. We were very nervous not knowing what the final product would look like, however we did rest assured knowing what the other Destination Hotels Brand had to offer... and they did not let us down!

If you and your fiancé are looking to find a place to celebrate your wedding... stop looking now. I can tell you there isn't a single place in New England that has what Cliff House has to offer. Take two steps through the front door and you will be sold.

Weddings are supposed to be fun, not stressful. Cliff House makes sure of that!

Pauline Gaffney and Casey Bucklin, Events Team at Cliff House, were absolutely extraordinary! They guided us with a sure hand through the choices and elements of the wedding. Casey was with us through the ceremony and reception following. I recommend Casey and Pauline highly. All our guests LOVED being at Cliff House and found the ceremony site breathtaking. It was aa joy to hold our daughter's wedding there and our most sincere thanks to all the Cliff House staff who made our stay so memorable.

We knew we found a gorgeous venue with the Cliff House - it speaks for itself. The real stars were the staff. Meagan and Allie were amazing. They kept us on track and handled all of the little details - I truly had nothing to worry about the day of the wedding. The banquet staff the night of was incredible too. Thank you Meagan and Allie for making it an amazing day!

The Cliff House is a beautiful venue for a wedding. My daughter and son in law chose it because of it’s gorgeous ocean front location and really pretty indoor/outdoor areas that allowed for friends and family to gather for a fantastic weekend and have a great dinner/party/live music etc. as well as an afterparty all in one beautiful location. The hotel rooms are on the pricey side, but we thought they were very nice and worth the $$. (Insist on a late check out for the bride and groom after their wedding night - we weren’t given that courtesy and it created stress for the couple trying to go to a farewell brunch and leave on their honeymoon having to pack everything up early a.m.!) Because of Covid, we ended up working with the CH through a postponement for 2 full years. They were great to work with during the postponement. We originally decided not to hire a “comprehensive wedding planner because the CH had it’s own well-reviewed in house coordinators - we hired a “month of” coordinator instead. However, over the course of the pandemic, the CH seemed to have a lot of turnover with their coordinator staff and currently are using the head of banquet sales as their on site coordinator. It was our experience that this current configuration made things less efficient, more stressful, and bumpier than we would have hoped. My daughter and SIL were still able to have a really fabulous wedding weekend here (despite a hurricane!), but my daughter did an enormous amount of the planning and oversight (sending the CH schedule reminders, checking paperwork errors, etc), and I ended up doing more set up/oversight day of and dealing with some last minute stress about our indoor ceremony back up plan because we were working with the stressed out director of banquet sales doubling as the event coordinator. Because the venue is so pretty and the food is quite decent (I’d say a solid B+), I hope they’ll be able to find and keep great on site coordinators to add to their team - that will really improve the experience for future couples and this venue deserves that. The wedding overall was truly lovely, kudos to York Flower Shop, J & J photography, Let them Eat Cake, and Pirates Lane Videography. We just noticed a number of little moments where a good experienced calm in-house event coordinator would have taken care of things that fell through the cracks - for example, wait staff/bar staff had no idea that my husband was the father of the bride when he tried to get a drink at the bar to take up while delivering his toast, sending him away instead, ceremony chairs were over due for a good cleaning, etc. etc. I think if you bring your own coordinator you can have a lovely experience here. My other piece of advice would be to pin down exactly what you want your rainy day plan to be here, and have it put in writing, including number of seats,etc. We kept trying to do this throughout our two year planning process, and there was some odd push back and vagueness, and it ended up being an 11th hour issue we needed to sort out. All of this being said, I think my daughter and son in law would have their wedding here again in a heart beat, but they’d bring their own on site coordinator and pin down a very clear rain plan ahead of time…
