We had our wedding and reception at The Coast Hotel they were very accomidating and provided us with the catering and the food was a big hit with all the guest,They staff was on there A game the whole day. We rented the Royal Ballroom A. The room was amazing with (4)10 foot cyrstal chandlears and(2) Julliet balconies held up with gold pillars. The hotel its self was great, we were given special rates for the rooms so all are guest were well looked after. The hotel offers so much for every price point . They have different rooms at the venue to suit different needs and budgets. A must to check out if you are getting married in the edmonton area.

Victor, Saadia and their team at the Coast Edmonton East did a fantastic job of helping our big day come together beautifully!

The Coast Edmonton East has an incredible ballroom that comfortably hosted our 345 person wedding perfectly. There was ample space for a photobooth, a big dancefloor, a head table that everyone could see, 2 bars, a signing table just outside the door, a gift table and a family picture table!!

We were so impressed with how helpful the staff was with all the little details like helping with the set-up of the brides room for getting ready with 4 bridesmaids and 3 hairstylists/makeup artists. The staff also did a great job of making sure that the gift opening at the hotel was fabulous as well.

We rented suites at the Coast (Downtown Edmonton) for the night before our wedding, and also for the night of for my new husband and I. The rooms were wonderful and clean, and the service was great. What I wasn't happy about was the hot tub being so hot it could burn you, and there being SO much chlorine in the pool it ruined our swim suites. Another problem we had was that they over charged us, AND charged us TWO deposits on our credit card, without our consent, thankfully they reimbursed them, though it took several days. Management and staff were very friendly, would stay here again!

If they tell you renovation will be done in the hotel in a few months, don't believe them. They told us that all renovations would be done in August last year (which was 3 months from the date of inquiry). A year later when our wedding arrived, renovations were still going on. This seems to be a very slow on going process.

I had an uneasy feeling when I had checked tripadvisor and i could only find two reviews where they held an event at the hotel (one of them a conference and one of them was a wedding) and they rated the hotel extremely bad. Unfortunately, this uneasiness did not pass but grew and grew as our wedding date got closer and mistakes on top of mistakes was made by the hotel.

I was very pleasantly surprise when the day of everything turned out great and no more mistakes came about.

So in the end, they do seem to pull through and as long as you are willing to live through hell and pain getting there, they will end up delivering.

Just a word of advise, make sure you have everything possible recorded and written down if anything goes wrong.
