  Paola, the Director of Events, was very easy to talk to and our decision to select Columbus Event Centre was a no brainer. She wasn't pushy at all and because she was a foodie, she was very helpful with selecting our menu. All our guests loved the food. Jorge and the staff working our wedding were great. They ensured everyone's needs were accommodated. Jorge set up all our decor items and set out the favours at each place setting for us. He really took care of us so we didn't worry about anything and we were able to just enjoy the night. He was very responsive and fielded all our questions during the planning process.

  The Staff at the Columbus Centre are amazing. They are so accommodating and go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. The art gallery is a beautiful venue if you have less than 160 guests. Our guests just loved the venue and raved about the food. There really is nowhere else for the value (as the Columbus Centre is also extremely affordable).

  This venue is absolutely fantastic! My husband and I chose the Columbus Event Centre because it had everything we wanted, the gardens for our ceremony and a reception hall that could accommodate 150-200 people incase we went over our estimated 175 people for the wedding. Price was very reasonable and we felt good that we would be giving towards the community centre and the nursing home. Everything was beyond our expectations! Anytime I mentioned to other vendors the Columbus Event Centre they always had great comments on the food and they were not wrong it was fantastic and everyone was happy. They accommodated all our allergies and special requests easily! The ceremony site is gorgeous, the new chairs they have for the ceremony was so unexpected and spectacular. Cocktail hour and hors d'ouvres was amazing, we never imagined the bar set up would be as it was for the cocktail hour and everyone raved about the hors d'ourves especially the lamb speiducci, they did not last long when they came out! Our servers and bartenders were great and Jorge our banquet manager was great to work with and really helped us with the details that were needed to make everything go smoothly! Thank you very much for everything!

  I had my bridal shower, wedding ceremony and wedding reception. The food was so delicious - they had so many choices and so many options. They catered to people with allergies and intolerances (and we had about 20 at our wedding with those). The service was seamless. They provided us with a day of coordinator to help with the general planning and staging of things- Jorge was fantastic. He answered every email and stayed the whole time of the events. The staff went above and beyond on the day of. The Columbus centre is such a beautiful venue and the staff are so helpful and friendly. The price point was reasonable and we were able to get everything we wanted! I would highly recommend he art gallery for a 60-120 people wedding. (It was very intimate and romantic) and I would recommend their restaurant for the bridal shower.. Both rooms have distinct feels to them and are absolutely breathtaking!

  The Columbus Event Centre was an amazing venue to plan our wedding at. They are very open to suggestions and Jorge did an amazing job executing the event. I was never worried about any of the details the day of. Food was delicious, the art gallery is amazing and all of our guests had a wonderful time. Price is also very very reasonable. THANK YOU!

  This place is AMAZING!!! We had our ceremony outside in the garden and our reception in the Art Gallery. I cannot say enough about all the truly amazing staff who made our day perfect, especially Jorge. Didn't matter how many times I changed my mind about something it was never a problem. Our chef Gino & his team....the food is unbelievable. The bartenders & wait staff...all did such a great job. Our guests were so impressed and had a great time! The grounds are beautiful, the venue is beautiful but what made it the best was the staff. I would highly recommend the Columbus Centre!

  Overall we were satisfied with the venue.
  
  Pros:
  -profits go to the organization's charities, and the price is very reasonable
  -there is a nice restaurant on site so your food is catered by someone who cares that the quality reflects the venue
  -the art gallery, which provides a nice alternative to the cookie cutter halls while still being formal
  -the garden is beautiful - we were able to do our pictures, cocktail hour and ceremony there
  
  Cons:
  -the service was very mixed - some waiters were incredible, while others were not able to answer even basic questions
  -there was one major error on the day of the event, but the event manager apologized and gave us a refund for those meals
  -they do so much more than weddings here - which is good and bad. on the negative side, there were some lapses that i would have expected a venue who always does weddings to catch. for example, there was an issue with conflicting information about parking.
  
  Tip:
  the venue is VERY flexible - but you have to ask! as the process went on, we found that there were a number of items that we mentioned in passing that they were able to accommodate. on the one hand we were surprised that these items weren't offered up front, but we were also thrilled that we were able to get almost everything we asked for!
