I had such a wonderful experience with Columbus Wedding Makeup! The owner, Tami, is so sweet and obviously really cares about her clients and their wedding experience! Communication about my day was easy and comprehensive; but Tami goes even above and beyond with communication by regularly sending out tips and tricks for pre-wedding skin care, as well as general wedding day tips!
My MUA was the wonderful Lindsey, and she knocked it out of the park day-of! She was so open to all of my thoughts and concerns and followed through with the most beautiful look that lasted all night. She was very personable and held good conversation throughout the hour of makeup application too.
Funnily enough, the day of my pre-wedding makeup trial, Lindsey went into labor! But instead of cancelling, sweet Tami came through and did my trial instead and took lots of pictures and notes for Lindsey.
Overall, I was so pleased with my experience and would highly recommend hiring Columbus Wedding Makeup & Hair! -

Tami is able to provide a number of services and stylists that are masters of their craft. My stylist, Stephanie, did an amazing job. She was very kind and always listened to me when I had questions and requests. Tami runs the company and she is always ready to give it to brides straight about what is possible, and even helped me when I had an incorrect start time. Very kind team, would highly recommend. -

I'm SO glad that I chose Columbus Wedding Hair & Makeup for my wedding! Tami was so helpful throughout the whole process, helping to arrange my trial and answer all my questions along the way. They came to the venue and got us all ready right on site--it was amazing to not have to stress about running around to get hair/makeup done that morning. All we had to do was show up and it was the best, most relaxing morning getting ready! Kelley was AMAZING!! If I could give her a million stars I would. She did my hair and makeup and it was absolutely perfect. I got so many comments about my hair and makeup and I felt so beautiful all day. I showed her a few pictures and she brought it to life and somehow made it even better than I imagined! She was so sweet and talented! She felt just like another bridesmaid in the room--she was so fun to be around! Throughout the whole day she made sure I was taking time to get food, drinks, go to the bathroom and was just such a pleasure overall. Stephanie did my bridesmaids hair and she was so wonderful too!! Everyone loved their hair and makeup and had so much fun. The bridesmaids and my mom kept coming up to me telling me how much they loved both girls. Mackenzie Sent on 11/12/2017Stephanie and Lauren did make up for my wedding day and they were both amazing! Everyone (moms & bridesmaids) who got their makeup done felt and looked beautiful! They were fun to talk to and really helped to make me feel at ease on my wedding day. My makeup stayed on the whole night and looked great from start to finish! I would definitely recommend CWM to any bride looking for long lasting, beautiful makeup for their wedding day.

Ashley Sent on 05/09/2016I had Stephanie for my hair and makeup - she was great. There was a period of slow email responses in the beginning but everything got worked out. The hair trial was great- I asked for a few things to be changed for the big day and she listed well and make the changes day of. Timing was also great, she showed up perfectly on time and finish up a little early and helped us figure out how the best way to attach the veil. I got great comments all night on my hair/makeup. User2595352 Sent on 05/03/2016It's been a year since my wedding and I've put off writing this review. However, I feel as if it's my civil obligation as a prior bride to write it and be honest. I had Columbus Wedding Makeup do make up and hair for the mothers and myself of our wedding day. The makeup service was wonderful! I had a great time working with Tami. On my wedding day, she made me feel at peace during chaos, did a wonderful job with my makeup and even made sure I ate something even while she worked. The mothers looked amazing and most importantly felt amazing. I strongly recommend her service! She even went so far as to book a free trial run to make sure I felt comfortable and sent a note after our wedding. Tami is professional and you want her there on your wedding day.
So why the low stars? I think there was a misunderstanding somehow. When I booked the hair and makeup services I booked a long enough time period I thought that if something were to go wrong in the day there would be cushion time. Well something did go wrong. My mom and I showed up late to the wedding venue loosing an hour of the given hair and makeup time. The woman doing hair was visibly frustrated, did my hair in 10 minutes and left without doing my mother's hair. She had booked another wedding without telling me that would be leaving during the agreed upon time period. Again, I was late but I built in time for something to go wrong in the agreement.
Long story short, my mom didn't get her hair done on my wedding day, I was left to redo my hair and fight back tears (as emotions run high on the morning of your wedding)! So I recommend clear communication and understanding on timeline just in case a wrench is thrown in the morning of your wedding day.

I do, as well, as a company have a schedule to keep. I didn’t realize you had extra time built in. And although we do too, we weren’t made aware of that. And when neither I nor any of your bridesmaids, could get a hold of you I was not only concerned for you, but also our timeframe. This particular stylist is very fast. I call her magic, because she does such a beautiful job in a short period of time. But yes we do typically have more than one wedding a day.
She had traveled over an hour to get to your venue then waited for an hour for you. She could easily have done 3 people in that hour and half. But with loosing that time, she had to make sure she made it to the next bride, because it was an hour drive and she was there when she was supposed to be. I normally wouldn’t have schedule with someone with such a distance, but honestly you were special. Your wedding was phenomenal setting. I am sorry that we miscommunicated with one another about our timeframe. I definitely am ensuring that nothing like this happens again. Although somethings are out of our control.
