User1327801 Sent on 09/13/2013This is a wonderful, family-owned bridal boutique that has been around since 1896. The owner is simply amazing to work with! She was able to fit me into her schedule at the last minute to try on a dress that I had found on the internet, and again for a final fitting! Every time I went in there, it was a great experience. The lady was so personable (even remembering and asking about the family member that went with me from 4 months before)! I highly recommend this charming boutique in such a charming city! -

Margaret Sent on 07/18/2015Ms. Frances at Condon's Bridal is a dream to work with. She is so sweet and friendly- working in the perfect business. While trying on dresses, she allowed my mother and I to be excited over dresses before coming over to give her professional opinion. I found one dress that I fell in love with, but was worried about the open back with my large bust size. Ms. Frances reminded me that there were cups sewn into the bust already and convinced me to try the dress without my bra. Without her gently pushing me- knowing how much I loved the dress- I would have walked away from what ended up being my wedding dress. After the initial appointment and trying on dresses at other salons, I went back to re-try this gown during my lunch break from work. She recommended a sparkly sash, veil, and other accessories to complete the look and I was able to purchase the dress on sample sale during my short break. Ms. Frances has allowed me to store my dress at her salon since the fall and every time I called her to try my dress on with shoes, begin alterations, etc, not only did she remember me, but she remembered my dress and always asked about my mother (who was the only one dress shopping with me). She works with a local seamstress with very fair pricing and although I have yet to re-try the dress, Ms. Frances has been flexible with my schedule and isn't rushing me to try it on or pick the dress up.
2 downsides:Scheduling alterations was a struggle with the seamstress being available for only a few hours during the workday, but I was lucky enough not to need extensive alterations. Also, I wanted to buy bridesmaid dresses from Condon's. However, like many stores, the selection of plus sized samples was seriously lacking. My girls had nothing to try on close to size 16 which meant we couldn't purchase there.
Highly, highly recommend this vendor. So glad I found my dress at Condon's !!
