We used Copper Hen for our wedding cakes, and they were delicious! We got four regular cakes and our main cake, which was gluten free chocolate. Copper Hen were absolutely wonderful to work with, and very prompt with communication. The gluten free cake was fantastic, as were the other four cakes. Our guests kept going back for more cake all night! We even had people asking why the cake was gone so quickly...it was that good! These cakes were also very affordable, and well worth every penny. We booked the Copper Hen for our wedding cake. We had a small two tier cake just for our wedding party and parents/grandparents. The cake was so delicious and looked beautiful. Exactly what I had envisioned. Very satisfied with this bakery. We booked the Copper Hen for our wedding cake. We had a small two tier cake just for our wedding party and parents/grandparents. Venue - The Copper Hen is SO GORGEOUS. It's already decorated so nicely that you barely need to bring any other decorations. They also ask for one flat fee that includes everything. So you don't have to worry about them nickel-and-diming you or having to make a million decisions. The fee included the venue, the food, cupcakes, a cake, gratuity, everything. When we first met with them, we met with the manager, Kevin but then got switched to Chad. Chad was great. He was responsive and accommodating. We had met with him a few times throughout the process, and at our last meeting, he introduced himself, as if we had forgotten who he was. That kind of made me nervous because if he couldn't remember us, how could he remember our wedding? BUT I think it was just kind of an awkward slip up, because he ended up doing great. I'm a really organized person, so I came to him with tons of questions and a plan, & he was very responsive. Our wedding was on a Saturday. Chad let us drop off all decorations on Friday, and he stored them in the basement. He also let us use their chalkboard sandwich board and they wrote "Welcome to our wedding" on it. The day of the wedding, they were open to the public until 2 or 3pm. Then, they closed it and set it up for our private wedding. So the only negative is that if you want to set up, you have to do it after 3:30pm. But the staff set up our decorations, and we had a friend come by to make sure everything looked good. Overall, we are so happy we chose The Copper Hen for our venue.
Cake - Danielle, the owner, makes wonderful cupcakes and cakes. We did a cake tasting with her, where she provided us with 6 kinds of cupcakes to choose from. I was expecting to be able to choose from more flavors, but the 6 were delicious. For our two-tier cake, we looked at the other cakes she had done and chose one of those (caramel drip cake). If you want something specific, you can talk to her about it. She's super friendly and a great baker. Love her.Venue - The Copper Hen is SO GORGEOUS.
