  Chicago's Best!

  I found Cornelia after researching sustainably grown flowers in the city. I worked with her after visiting her amazing flower farm and had an amazing experience! Cornelia and her production director Julia were absolutely delightful to work with! Cornelia was always kind and enthusiastic to answer any questions I had. The professionalism and passion in her work makes her a floral designer like no other in Chicago.

  We used Cornelia for our October 2018 wedding - and we were THRILLED with her work! We were stunned by her artistic skills and the guidance she provided along the way.

  We loved working with Cornelia. We had a great time visiting with her in her studio and corresponding in the months leading up to our wedding. She was flexible throughout the process and always committed to delivering a top-notch final result.   Dream day!

  Cornelia made our wedding day a dream. I knew from our initial consultation that she knew exactly what we wanted. I also also incredibly excited about her urban flower farm. She grows a large variety of beautiful flowers that were perfect for my bouquet. She and her team were incredibly professional on the day of and we knew we had nothing to worry about. The guests would not stop talking about the centerpieces during the reception and I could not stop smiling; everything was perfect!!

  Cornelia made our wedding day a dream. I knew from our initial consultation that she knew exactly what we wanted. I also also incredibly excited about her urban flower farm. She grows a large variety of beautiful flowers that were perfect for my bouquet. She and her team were incredibly professional on the day of and we knew we had nothing to worry about. The guests would not stop talking about the centerpieces during the reception and I could not stop smiling; everything was perfect!!

  Cornelia was so wonderful to work with to create the flowers for my December wedding in Chicago. During our initial conversations she was very helpful in taking the initial ideas I had and creating a cohesive vision for the event. I found it very easy to give her feedback and discuss my likes and dislikes through each step of the process. The result was an absolutely gorgeous variety of arrangements.   Cornelia is incredible! She is truly talented and her vision and artistry was evident throughout the entire process. She was lovely to work with and has such a kind and calming presence. She was responsive to suggestions and took my inspirations and made them into a beautiful reality. I wish I could live with the arrangements she made for our church and reception every day, they were SO stunning. I cannot recommend her more highly for a wedding or event!

  I loved working with Cornelia. I had an afternoon tea and cake reception (we did a high tea service and served wedding cake). It took a little back and forth to get the feel just right, but Cornelia was able to transform the ballroom at the hotel into a lovely tea room with tall arrangements that everyone commented on. She was very respectful of our budget. She also used magnetic boutonnières, which made life a lot easier for the groom and fathers. Cellphone pictures don't really capture the colors.

  Cornelia truly is as good as it gets! Her bouquets, centerpieces and details were all so beautiful, and we received so many compliments. To make everything even better she re-used the flowers after my wedding day and donates them to women's shelters - amazing! She is so creative and absolutely brought my vision to life! I would love to work with her again if the opportunity ever presents itself!

  Cornelia recently did the floral arrangements for our wedding in Chicago. I spent a lot of time researching florists and Cornelia did not disappoint in any way. She is very creative and clearly is very passionate about flowers which shows through her beautiful arrangements. Cornelia immediately "got" the look we were going for: romantic and soft, garden like. I sent her some pictures that I had pinned online and she presented a proposal which closely matched what I had in mind. She has great taste; none of her arrangements are stiff or look overdone. Her arrangements are very sophisiticated. I really enjoyed getting to know Cornelia and would highly recommend her. We looked at a few other florists and her arrangements stood out. The other vendor's flowers really looked small and lackluster comparatively and she was the natural choice.

  We used Cornelia McNamara Flowers for our wedding at the Ivy Room at the end of May. Working with Cornelia was such an amazing experience! From the moment my husband and I met her we instantly clicked. She saw the vision I had and I immediately knew she would make it come to life. Not only was my bouquet and my bridesmaids bouquets pure perfection, when I walked into The Ivy Room my dream had come to life. The candlelight and lush, gorgeous flowers literally took my breath away. I cannot speak highly enough about Cornelia and I would absolutely recommend her to everyone I know!

  Cornelia understood the look I was going for and executed it flawlessly! I had a winter wedding and loved the idea of different arrangements on the tables. Not only did the floral arrangements that Cornelia created look amazing, the greenery, candles, lanterns, and vases all went together in the most perfect of ways! All of our guests raved about my bouquet, my bridesmaids' bouquets, our tables, and the place card table. Cornelia will work with you to stay within your budget and create the most beautiful arrangements in that price range. I would highly recommend Cornelia to anyone planning a wedding in the Chicagoland area!

From the moment I met her, I knew Cornelia was really listening to me and making sure she understood what I wanted. She made me feel comfortable from the very beginning by not only showing me her own portfolio pictures, but also by asking me detailed questions about our color scheme, my dress, the hairstyles I had planned for my bridesmaids, etc. Cornelia really tries to understand your whole vision and then blends her work beautifully into your wedding. If floral is a big part of your aesthetic, Cornelia is the perfect florist to collaborate with. While planning, Cornelia made tasteful suggestions and gave advice (i.e. substituting flowers that were in season.)   I found Cornelia after looking through an absolutely stunning wedding that she had done at The Chicago History Museum, that was featured on Style Me Pretty. I met with her in her studio and we instantly clicked. I had met with at least 5 other floral vendors, but I chose Cornelia because of the personal attention I knew I would receive. She told me how she personally selects every flower that goes into the wedding, that she grows many of her own flowers in her garden, and that she hand makes every bridal bouquet herself. I loved the boutique approach that she maintained, I felt she really listened and cared about each client. Conversely, other floral houses would have you meet with a sales person, then your order goes to a big warehouse, and there is a lot less personal attention and a lot that can get lost in translation.
  
  After a few meetings and our sample viewing, I knew that she understood the look and feel that I was going for. On the day of the wedding I was absolutely blown away. The bouquets for the bridesmaids were stunning and complimented their dresses perfectly. The soaring displays in the church and at the reception were magazine worthy! I was so impressed with every detail, everything exceed my wildest expectations.
  
  Being in the hospitality industry and working with other florists before, I can say that Cornelia's work is a terrific value. She uses top quality products, yet I felt her prices were very reasonable. She was able to work with my budget, while still achieving the aesthetic I wanted. Most importantly she is super warm and bubbly, and made the entire process really fun. I cannot recommend her enough!

Cornelia sent us several suggestions and we simply asked her to go with her creative instincts. Everything was beautiful and elegant. We were thoroughly touched beyond words. And did I mentioned we planned everything long distance as we reside in Texas. We would absolutely recommend Cornelia - we wish we could give her more than 5 stars.

  I was incredibly lucky and honored to get to work with Cornelia on my wedding flowers and decorations. She is creative, thoughtful, detail oriented, and able to pull of miracles, seriously. My (now) husband and I decided to get married three weeks before the date scheduled. We found a venue at the last minute (The Ivy Room at Tree Studios) which had a last-minute opening. We booked it and they suggested that Cornelia to work with us for our floral arrangements. I had some creative ideas about working around the theme of my favorite off-Broadway musical--using a poem from the musical to guide us. As such, I wanted mint, berries, and clover in the decorations, along with big branching flowers and wooden/glen-like ambiance. I also wanted the ceremony to include a curtain that turned into a Chuppah, and told Cornelia that I was graduating from a MD/PhD program, and this was also going to be a celebration of my graduation. Cornelia was able to pull ALL of that off--she found printmakers to make the curtain in the same (non-published) font from the musical, she created a curtain that turned into a Chuppah (and taught everyone how to use it), she came up with an idea to have bottles that looked like old apothecary bottles and created labels with sayings on them, and she created old-timey labels for our sweets table. Not only that, but the flowers were absolutely breathtaking. I did not want to let go of my bouquet because it smelled divine. She put gardenias and jasmine in the entryway and around the bathrooms. She gave a beautiful floral collar to our dog who was in the ceremony. Honestly, I could not believe how beautiful it all looked. And, she pulled it off in three weeks! I have never seen anyone work with such creativity and be able to make it all look like it was planned for over a year. It was incredible!   Corneilia did the flowers for our wedding reception at the University Club of Chicago in September. She is just amazing. She understood our French theme from the very beginning and had a vision beyond our wildest expectations. Her ideas came through with a dramatic arrangement at the entrance and then beautiful subtle flower and candle arrangements throughout the venue. She worked within our budget and was very helpful in guiding what was best for us.

She understood our French theme from the very beginning and had a vision beyond our wildest expectations. Her ideas came through with a dramatic arrangement at the entrance and then beautiful subtle flower and candle arrangements throughout the venue. She worked within our budget and was very helpful in guiding what was best for us.

  We met with a few florists for our wedding and after meeting with Cornelia we knew she was the best fit for us. She did our flowers for the wedding party, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. She is easy going, talented and provided great suggestions to bring together the elements of the day. The flowers were an amazing mixture of different types of flowers and textures. Cornelia is extremely talented and creative and we are very happy with everything she did for our wedding!

  We knew we wanted Cornelia as soon as we met with her. Her creative vision stood out from any others we had met with. She took the time to go to our reception venue and come up with a proposal that combined our taste with her professional and artistic perspective on what would best enhance the space. She was fun and easy to work with throughout the entire process, and her work was beautiful!

  Cornelia McNamara is a creative genius with florals and plants. She created two different centerpieces for our wedding at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum on Sept. 22, 2012. Half of the tables got collections and the others had lanterns with surrounding flowers. Both styles were stunning, lush and breathtaking! The bridesmaid bouquets dripped with romance and my bouquet, although it wasn't the exact shade of purple that I was expecting, turned out vibrant in photographs. When she heard I wasn't happy with some of the creative choices, such as my bouquet, she promptly sent a letter with a partial refund. I was so surprised by her professionalism and gesture. She understood that weddings are an emotional business and went above and beyond with her customer service.

  Cornelia was our florist for our wedding this summer at the Art Institute of Chicago.
  
  But saying she was only a florist doesn't do it justice - she came with us to all of our on-site visits at the venue, came up with way too many iterations of floral arrangements, and put up with our indecisiveness. She even helped us design our reception area and gave us pointers on color schemes and other decorations (including a perfect arrangement of lanterns over the dance floor). So in actuality, instead of a florist, she was more like the interior designer and decorator for the entire wedding, and in the process went way above and beyond what she needed to do.
  
  In fact, one of our most special memories of the wedding was, as we were running around with our photographer taking pictures, we see Cornelia standing in front of our two main arrangements flanking the ceremony stage, head cocked to one side, as people are milling around her, completely in her own world analyzing the crap out of the arrangement. What to us already looked STUNNING was still not perfect enough for Cornelia, and she spent the next few hours getting it just right. We found out later that the morning of the wedding she ran out to get some more flowers just to make sure everything not only matched our expectations, but also her (much higher) expectations. She really takes the job personally and takes on the project as her own. It really is amazing to see someone who takes so much pride in her work.

  Cornelia made my wedding beautiful! I can's say enough good things. I had gone to speak with 2 other florists before meeting Cornelia and I knew within the first 5 minutes of talking that i'd be working with her on my wedding. Her passion and enthusiasm was contagious and she 's just incredibly talented. I don't know a lot about flowers but she listened to my vision, looked through pictures with me and just nailed it! I wanted to make use of a lot of greenery and fresh smelling herbs and have a mix of rustic and modern. She made a lush table runner for the head table- everyone was commenting on it's beauty and how good it smelled. She also made a beautiful head piece for my flower girl- the pictures are priceless. She even made a flower collar for my dog!!! Cornelia was at the event when I arrived helping with any last minute detail. Once I have my professional pictures I will post and tag on Instagram.
