  My wedding wouldn't have been the dream that it was without Suzanne

  Suzanne is the ABSOLUTE BEST! Our wedding would not have been the absolute dream that it was without her. If you are looking for a wedding planner who is always going to go above and beyond for you, is well versed in the ins and outs of Chicago wedding planning, has the best vendor contacts, and is always going to be available to support you and help you through the process, look no further. My husband and I reached out to several wedding planners in the fall of 2021 and my interview with Suzanne really stood out. I felt like I was talking to a friend who was already excited about my wedding before she even had the job. We ended up booking a partial planning package and it never once felt "partial" in any way. Suzanne was always available for us no matter what was going on and she was just down right fun to plan a wedding with. I most valued her very honest point of view and the fact that I always felt she was representing my best interest when interacting with vendors. We had the privilege of working with Suzanne for eleven months while planning my wedding and now that its over I plan to keep in contact with Suzanne. I simply connect recommend her enough.

  We HIGHLY Recommend Suzanne!

  We worked with Suzanne as a partial planner for over a year and she was always so responsive to our many emails, went above and beyond what was part of the partial planner contract, and was so kind and enthusiastic. We had some specific requests for our wedding and she was super helpful with making them a reality. The venue had some issues with the seating and Suzanne fixed it right away and made our families happy (we had no idea there were any issues the day of our wedding because she smoothed it over). She also made sure everything stayed on track with the schedule on our wedding day. Knowing that Suzanne was running the show and advocating for us throughout our wedding day helped put us at ease. I highly recommend hiring Suzanne from Couture Events as your wedding planner! She added so many thoughtful touches and handled family dynamics with grace. We will miss meeting with her!

  Suzanne is phenomenal!

  HIGHLY recommend using Suzanne Halaska as your wedding planner. She was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. She has such a fun and bubbly personality so she was very easy to work with. From the very beginning, she was so helpful with giving advice, scheduling meetings, attending our tour of the venue, and answering any and all questions we had. All the way to the very end, she helped with scheduling monthly checklist meetings, breaking down budgets, attending my final dress fitting (she's great with a bustle), helping with invitations, and planning/scheduling times or meetings with vendors. Our wedding day ran very smoothly. Everything went off without a hitch. Even if problems did arise, we were not aware and the day turned out to be the best day of our lives. It truly was the perfect wedding and none of it could have happened without her help and support the whole way. There is so much more that I could say about how amazing she was but I will leave it at that. She does a phenomenal job!!!!

  Stress free experience with Couture Events

  We were so impressed by Suzanne and the rest of the Couture Events team. Suzanne was very organized throughout the entire planning process which took the stress off of us. She was so helpful in booking and facilitating various vendors as well as providing us with several checklists and timelines to keep us organized. Our wedding day went exactly as planned and we were able to relax the entire day knowing that she and her team would take care of every small detail. They went above and beyond for us, including having a little bag of things to refresh throughout the day (mints, deodorant, a mini-fan). Would highly recommend Couture Events to any couple!

  Creative, organized, and confidence-inspiring!

  Suzanne Halaska and her company Couture Events were a dream to work with. Hiring Couture Events (with their Signature Package) was the first big decision we made after we got engaged, and it made everything else manageable. Suzanne is highly organized, experienced, and confidence-inspiring, while also being super down to earth, energetic, and fun. She has a great network of vendors she typically works with, and she knows how to negotiate a great value and get the price down while delivering fantastic quality. She was excellent at helping us hone a vision for what the wedding would look like and how it would flow, while also being very responsive to our preferences throughout the whole process. We were in the driver's seat, but Suzanne guided us the whole way. The wedding ended up coming together just beautifully. What would have been an overwhelming number of things to organize appeared easy in her hands. Also, as a gay couple, we wanted to make sure to find a planner we were comfortable with and who was comfortable with us, and we couldn't have asked for better than Suzanne and her team. Hire them!!

  Suzanne is AMAZING!!

  Let me start by saying my hubby was skeptical that we even needed a wedding planner. But by the end of the wedding, he was the one who didn't think we could have pulled off this wedding without Suzanne. So please, do yourself a favor and hire Suzanne!! A lot of the things that drew us to Suzanne was her familiarity with our venue and we really bonded over having lost a close important family member. From the beginning, we had multiple meetings with her and she guided us on design elements too.  She spent hours on our timeline and it really allowed my husband and I to enjoy the important day. She was such a momma bear which was especially important considering my mom lives in a different state. Suzanne is the girl scout of wedding planners, she was prepared for everything. At one point, even pulling scissors and eyelash glue out of her purse at a moments notice. She handled the small details we didn't know existed and I'm so grateful that she was apart of our wedding day. I honestly could not have done it without Suzanne.

  You will not regret it...

  I could go on and on about how great Suzanne and her team are. Not only did they help bring my vision to life, but they helped it go off without hitch. Our wedding was in Kentucky and even though Suzanne is based in Chicago she was able to coordinate everything to the most miniscule detail. Her timeline of the day’s events made my life so much easier. I was able to relax and enjoy my wedding to the fullest.
  Not only is Suzanne a fantastic wedding planner, she is also a great friend. She will not only put your mind at ease, but also make you feel as though she is your longtime confidant that is there for you no matter what.
  I cannot stress how wonderful it was to have Suzanne be a part of our big day. I implore you to consider employing her services for your wedding. You will not regret it.

  The best!!

  We are so happy to have had Suzanne plan our wedding. She helped us through every step of the way, from the very early meetings about the big picture and budget, to finding a venue and caterer, to all of the little details. She was our advocate and ally, and always came to every meeting with a thorough plan, checklist, as well as a big smile and great attitude. The day-of schedule she put together was extremely thorough and comprehensive, and I can't imagine how we would have squeezed everything into one evening without her help. HIGHLY recommended!! Thanks again Suzanne. :)

  Suzanne is a dream maker and saint

  From the day we had our first meeting, I knew our wedding was going to be perfect. I knew getting married on a remote island was going to be challenging to get vendors and to work on island time! But Suzanne literally took everything off my plate, not one time did I feel stressed. I would trust Suzanne with any major event in my life! Over the year she also became a very good friend and apart of our family! Everyone is still talking about how perfect our day was. Someone even spilled RED WINE on my dress and Suzanne got every bit of the stain out and I was back on the dance floor in no time!!! Thank you will never be enough!!! We love you Suzanne!!!!!!

  I've heard Weddings can be stressful, but I wouldn’t know anything about that because when both of our children were married we chose Couture Events to help us with the planning. Our daughter was married on Mackinac Island, Michigan and two years later our son in La Jolla, California and the beauty, enjoyment, and unique touches of each wedding were far beyond our expectations.
  
  Before planning a wedding, most people have no idea what the reasonable costs are for the type of wedding they desire. It’s important to have someone who can see your vision and help you to create that amazing special day within your desired price range. Suzanne is able to do that and more. Both of our weddings were destination weddings and she was able to find vendors in those areas that were absolutely perfect for the type of wedding we wanted. She listens very closely to what you really want that day to be and is then able to bring together people to make that happen. For example, for our daughter’s wedding, Suzanne found a floral designer from the Detroit area who had done weddings on Mackinac Island. This designer created and transported all of the flowers from Detroit up across the state and over to the island by ferry, then by horse and carriage to the venue. It took a tremendous effort but the result was absolutely amazing.
  
  Not only does Suzanne have the creative vision and knowledge to successfully plan and orchestrate an outstanding wedding, she is a delightful person to work with. She is very genuine and always has your best interest in mind.
  Suzanne has always responded quickly to calls or emails when questions would arise and she always had answers. No matter what situation would arise, her response would be, “Don’t worry, I’ve got this”. I can honestly say, in every case, she did take care of whatever we needed.
  
  Looking back, all I can say is if you are planning a wedding, I hope you are fortunate enough to have Suzanne Halaska at your side.

  Suzanne was absolutely wonderful! We were planning an out of town wedding and having Suzanne as our wedding planner made things so much easier for us! She has the best personality and always managed to put a smile on your face no matter how stressed out you were. Her sister Rosie who joined her on the wedding day was amazing too- she was so prepared for any issues that arose!   Deciding to hire Suzanne and the Couture Events Team was the best decision we made for our wedding! I work in the wedding industry and knew from experience that we would need a planner. I was confident I could get myself going in the right direction, but I'd want to enjoy every moment of my wedding day - not work it. On my wedding day I felt like a bride and relaxed knowing I could trust Suzanne had every detail more than covered. You can read in all of her other reviews that Suzanne takes care of every detail - but I want to point out that she does that all with experience and confidence that makes you feel like she's a part of your family. Everything went flawlessly. I had the most wonderful day of my life and I owe that all to Suzanne. It felt so glamorous to have someone constantly checking my lipstick - I didn't know that was important! But oh my gosh it so is! Flawless lipstick in every photograph. That's the Couture Events touch - details paid attention to that you didn't even know existed. My mom - who insisted we could do it all our selves - even said afterward she was glad Suzanne and the Couture Events team was with us all day. I would hire Suzanne over and over again. Book her!

  We had hired Suzanne for the partial wedding planner package. And it was one of the best decisions we could have made! From our first meeting we just clicked and I knew she was the one. Her great outgoing personality and positive energy was very uplifting in a stressful time. She made me even more excited about the wedding. Right away she popped out with new ideas and things we could do that I haven't even thought of yet. She was always very considerate of what we wanted first though and helped us out to give us more options if needed. She was a great help throughout the planning process as she kept us on checklists, handled everything with the vendors, very accommodating and just always on top of things. I can't thank Suzanne and her sister, Rosie, enough for all that they did on the day of the wedding. Everything happened so fast that without them I probably would have been stressed. But they truly made it a stress-free day for us because we actually got to enjoy our wedding. If we needed something that we forgot they were both on top of it or if there was a minor mishap they were there to fix it. They did a phenomenal job! One thing I definitely recommend is hiring a wedding planner, it makes the whole wedding planning process and especially the day of the wedding much more better.   From a father-of-the-bride perspective:
  My daughter's wedding was coming up, the couple lives in Chicago, the groom's parents are in Michigan, and we live in Texas where the wedding was to take place. To say we had concerns about pulling this off would be an understatement. Then along came Suzanne and Couture Events! Suzanne was absolutely wonderful to work with from a FOTB's perspective and here's why:
  1) She took everyone's priorities into consideration when assessing options and making recommendations.   Suzanne is simply the best! She was such a pleasure to work with as she helped me plan my wedding in Dallas from Chicago. She was super professional and and her follow through was on point. I needed her help mostly to coordinate most everything with my vendors. She did an amazing job facilitating being the middle man between my vendors and I. Any requests that I had, she would handle everything with my vendors and have a prompt confirmation or follow up with me. I can't say enough about her and the business she runs. Suzanne is also an amazing listener and was there to help consult with any ideas that we had for our wedding and was able to bring those to life. I trusted her opinion and she was always there to give honest feedback in order to help lead us in the right direction to help make our big day run as smooth as possible. She is the best, and I would highly recommend her to any bride looking to plan a wedding in Chicago or even a destination wedding. She can do it all!   I hired Suzanne as a day-of-coordinator and would recommend her to every couple!
  
  She is such a great presence to have around before and during your wedding day. She has an extremely positive attitude - far from the uber-realistic Debbie Downer you often encounter when you plan your wedding. She supports your ideas and helps you realize them.
  
  For welcome bags in particular, she bought all the little Chicago things I asked for (Frango mints, Garrett's popcorn, Nuts on Clark, water bottles...) introduced me to an amazing designer to help with the inserts and found a great Chicago-esque tote bag at a reasonable price to carry all the goodies. When you are up to your EARS in things to do (trust me, even those most organized brides are exhausted and stressed the month before) these little tasks that she takes on help tremendously.
  
  On the day of, she and her sister helped find makeup, deodorant and other random things I needed throughout the day, put together the very complicated escort cards I had (they were fancy card stock pieces that had to be rested on champagne glasses), kept track of little things like my dancing shoes and the flip flops for the guests, kept all family in place for portraits post-ceremony, kept track of the timeline and helped me keep the band a little later because we were running late overall...and much, much more! Day-of-coordinators, if not full-fledged wedding planners - are literally the most important vendor. They really keep the whole event running smoothly, because the bride/groom and their families TRULY do not have the time.
  
  Suzanne is a lovely person and will be a dear friend for years to come!

  My husband and I cannot thank Suzanne and her team at Couture Events enough for helping us create the wedding we always wanted. I did not have family around to help with the planning process and I was traveling a lot for school which made the decision to hire a wedding planner an easy one for us. However, after the experience we had with Couture Events, I would say having a wedding planner is a must for anyone who is getting married. Suzanne was always willing to attend meetings with potential vendors, offer suggestions, review contracts and provide creative solutions to things that we thought impossible. Leading up to the wedding day, Suzanne was there to answer any questions or concerns and support us in decisions we were making. She provided timely updates on the planning process and would kindly nudge me when I may have fallen behind on my duties. I have to say that having a wedding planner the day of the wedding is really the best gift my husband and I gave ourselves. We did not have to worry about one thing throughout the entire day. We were able to enjoy every minute and be present in the moment with all our family and friends. If anything went wrong we were none the wiser because Suzanne and her team took care of it. She provided an itinerary of the day’s events down to the minute and she gave each vendor a copy so they were aware of the schedule. Suzanne and her team were always professional, kind and overall just a pleasure to work with. It takes a special and unique person to be able to coordinate and organize all the various pieces of a wedding but even more so to work well with the bride, groom and there family to help them create the day of their dreams. I would say Suzanne and her team at Couture Events does each of these things well and really goes above and beyond to make it the most special day especially for the bride and groom.
