From the moment I went on to book Pirate's Beach and Pirate's Cove for my wedding, it was seamless. They made every detail so easy for us, were friendly, and provided personal attention for our needs. Response time was instant for any of our questions. I have rented MANY AirBnBs since this app was invented… and Pirate’s Cove is, by far, the best place I have ever rented. EVERYTHING is perfect about this place. It’s WAY better than it looks in the pictures. Like, the pictures don’t even begin to do it justice. If you’re hesitating even for a moment about booking this place— I’m here to tell you it will be the best weekend of your life, guaranteed. This home served as the best weekend of my entire life. Here’s why:
I booked this place during COVID for a small wedding. The pandemic seemed to make EVERYTHING go wrong while planning this wedding. But not this house. This house is the ONLY thing I could count on for months and months. Any time I had a question, they answered within minutes, sometimes seconds, for months on end. And I imagine I was some what of a worrisome bride with a lot of specific questions. They were so so nice.
Then I arrived. And OH MAN… this place is insane. It’s HUGE and it’s very very clean. The decorations are all perfectly on-brand and aren’t too cluttered or trashy. Everything looks very elegant and sophisticated. The kitchen is the first thing you see. We had 25 people all fitting comfortably for dinner. There are plenty of tools for cooking! It’s spotless. It’s enormous. Then you get to the master bedroom… WOW!!! The shower is the stand-out in this room. My new husband and I really liked that part! LOL! Upstairs you have a large living room, a patio, and 4 different bedrooms. Then two of THOSE bedrooms have other bedrooms off of those. All of the beds were comfy comfy comfy.
I was really worried about space and privacy before arriving. As you can imagine, 25 people in one house can seem like a tight fit. We had EXTRA space and nobody was cramped. One family was worried about COVID and was even able to be socially distanced the whole weekend. In one house?! Craziness. It was perfect. On top of it being this many people… my family is white and my husband’s family doesn’t speak English. This could have been uncomfortable in one house, especially if there was no privacy. But ALL of the rooms, even the side rooms, had doors. All beds were big and each had their own light. Privacy and awkwardness were not a problem the whole weekend.
The linens were delivered right on time, and they were all clean. The chair/table rental company suggested by the house owner was very reliable, and set up the entire wedding for us. Once the guests arrived for the outdoor wedding on the ground floor, they all wanted to “go upstairs and check out the rooms” because everyone was talking about how nice it was inside. But even the outside is nice! The ground floor is MUCH more spacious than it appears in pictures. The bar downstairs is super nice, and there were toilets so people didn’t have to go inside. All of my vendors had PLENTY of space to work. It was way bigger than I thought. The parking lot behind the house fit ALL my 60 guests plus vendors.
We had people in our group who had never been to the ocean before, and seeing them walk the short walk from the house to the sand… and seeing the look on their faces was the best part for me. It was a beautiful moment. My new father-in-law, who usually keeps to himself, loved the very top patio because he could be alone, but look out on the wedding and the beach views. Something for all!
Nobody complained about the temperature, the space, the privacy, the amenities, nothing! Some people stayed up til 5 am, and didn’t disturb the early sleepers. And the early risers didn’t disturb the late sleepers. Sound doesn’t travel here. It was super quiet. All 25 of my guests were PERFECTLY happy, which is tough to accomplish. EVERYONE was happy and didn’t have one single complaint.
The guy who owns the house is GREAT. He let us check in early, and check out late. Because we had some WILD circumstances before and after. He was super understanding. Then some of my relatives took the keys to my dad’s rental car back to Dallas with them. So we got stranded at this beach house when we should have checked out 2 hours before. The owner offered us the house for an extra night at a VERY reasonable rate, and my husband and I got to stay put while we figured out the key debacle. He was so understanding, responsive and kind the whole time.
I will NEVER forget this weekend My wedding weekend went off without one single hitch, and this house provided the bones and location for the most memorable, most perfect, most beautiful… weekend of my entire life.

I had the most perfect wedding here at Crystal Beach. Planning for a wedding can be stressful, especially when it comes to the guest list, decorations, and all the small details! However the two beach houses were perfect for our family and friends. Friday night was dedicated to our friends. As they were leaving Saturday morning, our two families arrived Saturday afternoon. While most weddings have assigned seatings, I did not want to force my guest to sit in an assigned table. I wanted my family to get to know my husband's family! The two beach houses allowed for our family to make themselves at home and do just that! On top of that, the front lawn and altar was picture perfect for our simple, yet elegant ceremony! So grateful to have found this venue and have the most memorable weekend of my life! Highly recommend this venue! -

Katie Sent on 12/19/2017Amazing venue for a wedding or any large group event. We comfortably had 70 guests stay for our wedding in October and everyone was amazed by how awesome these beach houses were. Everyone slept comfortably and even though we had an all night party, no one could not hear a peep outside the bedrooms. The downstairs area was perfect to set up our reception, the middle area provided the perfect dance floor with an area for a band to set up. The bars were perfect for decorations and to set up our margarita machine. The lawn was the perfect backdrop for our wedding ceremony and we took some on the beach as well which is only a short walk from the houses. All in all it was an amazing experience and the perfect location for our wedding.
