  Best Bachelorette Party Ever!

  I attended a destination bachelorette party that Samantha planned and executed. Wow! She is incredibly thoughtful and creative. Even the smallest details were thought out and personalized to fit the bride's style. (The watercolor signs she created were definitely my favorite!) The weekend was action packed but perfectly timed. We did a lot – from sightseeing to paddleboarding to dancing downtown – but it never felt like too much. Everyone had an absolute blast. Most importantly, the bride was able to kick back and truly enjoy every moment because she knew Samantha had it all covered.

  The single best investment we made for our wedding

  Seriously, I have no idea how this girl does all that she does.
  
  For context, my husband and I had a wedding with 100 attendees, a $30k budget, and about 1.5 years to plan. We wanted our wedding to have a backyard wedding feel, with emphasis on delicious food and drinks, plus some typical modern wedding things like a photo booth, lawn games, and a DJ/dance floor.
  
  I had no prior experience putting on an event of this size, but as far as weddings go, this seemed pretty small. When I started planning, I naively believed that I could probably handle most of the details myself on top of a fairly demanding full-time job. My husband and I don't live in San Diego though, so we knew we wanted a wedding coordinator who could be more involved in the planning process (as opposed to hiring someone as a day-of coordinator). We chose Samantha's full-service planning package because of that.
  
  We went with Samantha because it was immediately clear from our first few conversations that she is incredibly organized and has an awesome attention to detail, and she proved that time and time again throughout the planning process. She helped us ideate about what we wanted our wedding to be, and offered options or things she'd seen previously when we asked. She kept us on track with regular emails and phone calls, and sent us really helpful personalized checklists. She kept our timeline up to date (I think we ended up having about 17 iterations). She came with me to my vendor appointments when I came to town. Most importantly, she has the experience to ask the questions that we hadn't even considered. How long do each of the vendors need to set up their space? Do we have access to the venue for that time? If you use the same chairs for the ceremony and reception, how will the chairs get from one place to the other? How do you communicate seating arrangements? Keeping track of all these details is hard because there's just so many of them, but Samantha took so much of that off of our minds. I really felt that I could trust her to help me not let something slip through the cracks, and that gave me so much relief on the day of, and space to enjoy everything.
  
  Hiring Samantha was our #1 best decision. Looking back on it, I don't think we could have pulled this wedding off without her. Thank you so much Samantha!

  It is rare that you find someone who is both a master creative and a logistics goddess. Samantha at Current Event Design and Planning truly blew my mind from beginning to end. I gave her a general idea of what I wanted for my bachelorette party and she designed the weekend to a tee. She put together a tropically themed bachelorette weekend that accounted for many flight schedules and overnight logistics, a custom-made confetti filled balloon arch and hand-painted watercolor drink menus and decor, a professional photo shoot with my ladies, a red Mustang convertible to soak up the sun in, preset menus at restaurants for ease, a party bus night on the town, 6 giant blow-up floaties during the beach day, a group paddleboarding experience, a scavenger hunt, and so much more. Truly, this was the best weekend of my life, and I am so thrilled that I've selected her for my upcoming wedding as well. Hands down the best decision I made. Book her. You will be so thankful you did.

  Samantha Saved the Day

  I would book Samantha & CURRENT again in a heartbeat. Our timeline, ceremony location, and reception set-up all changed three days before the wedding and she handled it flawlessly. So calming for us and so helpful. I literally left piles of decorations in an empty venue at noon on the day of my wedding and came back to a spectacular party at 4pm (45 minutes earlier than we expected to be there...oops). She really handled all of the unexpected changes like a pro, letting me and my husband just enjoy the day. In the lead up to the event she was easy to communicate with, very responsive, and worked well with all of our vendors. I was living in a different city for most of the planning process and didn't have any trouble scheduling time to meet or talk either by phone or on the rare occasion I was in town. There are a lot of options in San Diego, and if you're considering hiring Samantha, DO IT! She made a major event a lot easier, and the wedding was fantastic

  Samantha provided five-star service and is a five-star person! She provided professional, knowledgeable, and creative guidance and assistance in planning my sister's bridal shower! Her work allowed me to feel much more confident about every step of the process as the hostess! She is wonderful at this work!   Organized, Thoughtful Planner

  Hiring Samantha was the best decision I made during the wedding planning process. My small, simple wedding slowly started growing (as I’m sure is super common!) into something that I couldn’t handle on my own. I wanted to hire someone to help with the final couple months of planning and the logistics for the day-of. I can’t believe I ever thought I could do it on my own! Samantha was incredibly organized and thought of things that I never would have even thought of. She made the stressful planning process streamlined and organized by creating timelines, lists, and reaching out to vendors. She set up the entire reception venue just as we planned and it looked beautiful! She really helped me focus on the happiness of the day and not worrying about the little things. Samantha is truly one of a kind and is a natural at this role.

  Beachelorette in Paradise!

From the very first, adorable email to the moment we went back to the airport, every detail was handled and every need anticipated. Our agenda was clear, the activities exciting, the vendors progressional, the accommodations beyond compare, the custom cocktails delicious, and the decor to die for. I’ve never seen more Instagram worthy vignettes in my life! Truthfully, it was one of the most wonderful weekends of my life and CURRENT managed it all with ease and fun. I could not recommend this company more!

  My husband and I initially thought we could plan the wedding ourselves, but panic settled in as our date crept closer. We found Samantha 5 months prior to our wedding, & SO glad we did! We met with two others, but I felt immediately drawn to her warm personality.
  When we signed the contract, she immediately got down to work and hashed out every single detail, idea, thought, and reservations I had. We were going to have our wedding on our property, so everything was being done from scratch, so we knew it'd be a huge project.
  Samantha is very professional & works hard. She constantly checked in with me & members of the wedding party who were in charge of things to keep us on track. She also found the best deals & put together comparisons between companies. What I appreciated most about her though was her genuine concern about my well-being. I had been going through some things and she was there to lend an ear or a hug. I feel like she made sure my sanity was still intact!
  Our wedding day was beautiful & nearly flawless. From all the weddings I had been to, I don't recall guests paying much attention to the vendor thank you's, but when we thanked Samantha, our guest were cheering and hollering. She deserved it!
  At the end of the night, my husband and I knocked out. Waking up in the morning, we were happy but dreading to see what mess was left behind. To our surprise, there wasn't much for us to clean up! Guests that stayed late told us that Samantha and her husband stayed pretty late to help clean up and organize things. I couldn't be more thankful!
  From thought to execution, Samantha really perfected it all. The communication is there, she's a problem-solver, & she thinks ahead! Before her, I was only prepared for a quarter of it all. Her lists and thoroughness prevented mishaps & everything ran smoothly.
  I could go on about how great she is. Bottom line is this: I could not recommend a better wedding coordinator. Samantha is a miracle worker & a Godsend!

  If you want your big day, and everything leading up to it, go smoothly, choose Samantha. My best friend's wedding was truly one of a kind. Started from scratch since it was going to be on her property, in the MOUNTAINS. So imagine that unpaved, one lane, dirt path. Samantha was always 5 steps ahead with her planning. Her direction and guidance throughout the whole time was seamless. Thank you for everything Samantha and making my best friend's wedding a dream come true!

In the months leading up to the wedding, she checked in with me multiple times to offer up her help if needed and communicated any details about the wedding that I needed to know to incorporate into the ceremony. Samantha taking care of all the little details like this really saved the bride a ton of stress and took a huge weight off of her shoulders. On the day of the wedding, Samantha never let the ball drop once. Every detail looked perfect and all the guests had an amazing time. I would work with Samantha again in a heart beat!

  Bachelorette Party

  The bachelorette party I attended was an entire weekend long. The decorations were beautiful, tasteful and personal (HANDMADE!!) All of us ladies had a blast with the itinerary that was set and the food was phenomenal. Samantha handled all of the details professionally and was just an overall badass! I highly recommend Current for your next event.

  We contacted CURRENT Event Planning for a smaller than usual job. Although we had already planned our wedding, there were still a few things we needed help with (arranging and placing flowers, setting up tables, etc). We worked with Samantha and she did an excellent job! She was responsive during the planning process and on the day of she showed up early. She did everything according to plan and it turned out perfectly. She was extremely professional and I cannot recommend her enough. Thank you Samantha!

  We could not recommend CURRENT Event Planning more. My husband and I hired Samantha as our day-of coordinator, so we did not meet her until a couple months before the wedding (though she made herself available via email/phone and checked in regularly throughout the entire process to make sure we were on track and had everything we needed). The planning process for us was (unsurprisingly) stressful, but after our first meeting with Samantha, we felt instantly at ease. She is professional but easy to work with. It felt like a friend was helping us, and we fully trusted her to make decisions as things came up day-of without having to come to us—and she delivered. My husband and I did not feel one ounce of stress the day of our wedding, and that is in large part (if not all) because of Samantha and her team. She understood our vision and executed it better than we could have imagined. She had everything planned down to the minute and worked closely with our venue to ensure they were aligned and things ran smoothly. That’s not to say things didn’t go wrong, either, as is expected at a wedding. Any hiccup that arose, she dealt with, and nothing affected the day whatsoever. We had last-minute requests and additions, including a not-so-simple sparkler sendoff, that she threw together and executed on top of everything else. She even decorated the golf cart that we drove off on. She and her team stayed late to help our families tear down the decorations, which was NOT their job, but just another example of how they went above and beyond to make it the perfect day for us.

  We could not recommend CURRENT Event Planning more. My husband and I hired Samantha as our day-of coordinator, so we did not meet her until a couple months before the wedding (though she made herself available via email/phone and checked in regularly throughout the entire process to make sure we were on track and had everything we needed).   Samantha made it work! My husband and I hired CURRENT to plan a large rehearsal dinner for our son and daughter-in-law's destination wedding. After just one meeting, Samantha was able to understand our vision for the evening, present us with some beautiful options and anticipate details that we never would have foreseen. She coordinated the venue, caterers, event rentals, party supplies, entertainment and bus transportation for our guests. No detail was overlooked--her planning was organized, thoughtful and thorough. Best of all, we were able to enjoy the time with our family and friends because Samantha handled everything on our behalf. We could not have done this without her help!

  There’s no way our wedding day would have gone as smoothly as it did without CURRENT Event Planning. We hired Samantha as our day-of coordinator, but the time and energy she put into our wedding was so much more than that. Leading up to the big day, she was extremely helpful with organizing all the little details and identifying what still needed to be completed. At our final venue walk-through she even helped us come up with layout ideas for the welcome area and reception. The whole time we worked together I felt like she was really dedicated to understanding my vision and how I wanted our wedding to flow. I have no idea how she does it, but she takes everything and turns it into a seamless timeline. I had a LOT of details and events for our wedding day, and the first draft timeline she sent over was near perfect. The day of the wedding went over just as seamlessly. She coordinated with all the vendors, kept everything timely, was in 12 places at once (seriously, everything from décor to our personal items was exactly where it needed to be at the right time…again, no idea how she does it), AND made sure we were happy, fed, and hydrated.   Samantha was an AMAZING day-of-coordinator! I cannot speak highly enough. She is extremely organized and very accommodating and flexible. Her experience with wedding planning was so helpful to us, both during the wedding and during the planning. She would ask us whether we'd thought about different details, and they were things I'd never thought or known about. She was also very understanding and kind (I was a very indecisive bride), and she'd give me time to think, or help me process what I wanted to do. Whenever we had meetings, Samantha was very flexible with times and locations, meeting us for lunch during work hours, or even at our home.
  
  We had a week-of problem regarding too much lighting coming from our bar area into the dance floor, and when we inquired into pipe and drape, we were perplexed by the cost. Samantha, of her own volition, went out of her way to find a cost effective solution of plastic table cloths that could be attached to the windows between the two spaces, to help diffuse the cost at about an EIGHTH of the cost. This is just one example of Samantha going out of her way to help make your day perfect.
  During the rehearsal and wedding, Samantha was on top of helping us direct bridal party, parents, officiant, etc. Parents on both sides commented on how organized and committed Samantha was. My dad was so impressed by how hard Samantha worked to get everything set up in the venue, keep us on time, etc. She even helped me with my dress when my mom and sister couldn't figure out the fastenings, or the bustle. I literally had to do nothing except enjoy my day. She took over all communications with vendors the week of, she did all the set-up of signage, she distributed our final payment and tip envelopes... Samantha even looked out for small details like making sure me, my husband, and our photographers were hydrated.
  
  Truly, my day was a dream, and it could not have been so without Samantha. She is amazing!

From taking charge of the crowd and directing everyone when to walk and where to stand at the rehearsal, to always being in the right place at the right time - Samantha kept everything running perfectly on schedule.
