    Wonderful!

    Petra did an absolutely amazing job with the alterations on my bridal gown and my mother’s gown for my wedding. My gown needed many alterations and had a lot of beading and appliqués. Petra is very detail orientated and an experienced seamstress. She made sure my gown was absolutely perfect and was so wonderful to work with!

    Very reliable seamstress! I had total confidence and faith in Petra and she delivered. Petra altered my bridal gown in the bust side area, very well done and so quickly. Less than 2 weeks is all it took! I bought my dress at simplicity boutique because Petra was so reliable.

    Petra did a phenomenal job on my wedding dress alterations. I required more changes than originally anticipated and Petra took her time and did a meticulous job ensuring the dress looked just perfect. I highly recommend Petra and Simplicity Boutique for formal gowns and wedding attire.

    Petra was amazing to work with. In the final days before my wedding I had my final fittings scheduled with Petra, but unfortunately she had been assigned Jury Duty. Chris, the owner of the boutique filled in for Petra to do the final adjustments and then I was able to have the final, final adjustments completed with Petra the next day. Luckily she was dismissed from serving, but she was very accommodating and willing to work around my schedule to make sure everything was completed just perfectly. My dress came out amazing and I appreciated her expertise and guidance on the alterations. Highly recommend!

    Petra was a great seamstress. Very professional and easy to work with! My wedding dress was very detailed - with a ton of lace detail work at the hem. Petra spent hours hemming it and making it look perfect! It is a true art that she has mastered!

    When I was in need of gown alerations about 5 years ago before my sons wedding, Petra was highly recommended to me by a family friend. She and her family had relied on Petra for alterations for many years. Since then, my family and I have also relied on Petra for all of our alterations - wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dtesses, mother of the bride gown, mother of the groom gown, etc. She never disappoints!! Her work is outstanding!! She provides personalized, professional services, meeting all deadlines and at very rasonable pricing. Petra definately goes above and beyond for her customers! Anyone needing great qualty alterations should not hesitate to contact Petra!!

    I was extremely pleased with the alterations on my dress. Petra helped me create exactly what I had been looking for. She turned a dress with a very long train into a tea length dress that fit me perfectly!

    Petra truly did an amazing job with alterations on my wedding dress and all of my bridesmaids dresses. I was having so many doubts with the way my dress was fitting me when I first picked it up from the store but after meeting with Petra she reassured me that it would fit exactly how I wanted it after she did the alterations. Of course, my dress fit me PERFECT for my big day. Thank you so much Petra, I would recommend you to anyone looking for alterations.

    I can't begin to explain how grateful I am to Christine and Petra. They have made every step of wedding dress shopping enjoyable and stress free. Everyone was in love with my gown and the alterations were beyond perfect. I could not be happier!!! My wedding on Saturday, May 16th was perfect!!! & I owe it to you both!!!!

    Petra was amazing! My wedding dress was gorgeous and made me feel beautiful and much of that was due to Petra's skill, professional quality and talent. Petra was with me through the entire wedding dress process. She was there at the appointment and helped me envision my dream dress. I had wanted a dress with cap sleeves, but fell in love with the strapless dress (which I didn't' want). Petra created beautiful cap sleeves, which made my dress both unique and perfect for me! On my wedding day, I not only got so many compliments about the dress, but so many asked where I purchased it! I would highly recommend Custom Designs by Petra!

    Petra truly did an amazing job with alterations on my wedding dress. My dress was orginally a size 12. Not only did i loose 22 lbs since i first got it, kleinfelds order the next size up. Petra stepped in and altered my dress to fit my new body perfectly. It takes so much skill and talent to transform something so beautiful and special as your wedding gown. I felt amazing on my wedding day in my dress. I would highly recommend her.

    Petra is an incredibly talented seamstress. My dress had previously been altered very poorly. She took the time to make sure my dress was altered not only for my body but also fixed aspects of it to make it better. I'm so grateful for her. She saved my dream dress, comforted and assured me that it could be fixed and did not quit until the finished product was perfect. I will no longer go to any other seamstress. Thank you Petra!!

    Petra did an absolutely amazing job on my wedding dress. I had a dress that was too long for me and was made of lace. Petra was able to completely take the lace off of the bottom and put it back on. She did a wonderful job and made me feel perfect in my wedding dress. I would definitely recommend her, and have recommended her, to several of my friends. She was even able to do several people's dresses that were in or attending my wedding.

    Petra did an amazing job on altering my wedding dress as well as my sister's bridesmaid dress and my mother's dress. I went into my first alteration praying something could be done to help me because I had lost 30 lbs and my dress was huge on me! Petra worked her magic and was able to take my dress from a size 12 down to a 6 with out losing any of the details in the lace of the dress. The dress is strapless so Petra added cups for me and I did not have to pull at it at all for the entire night. She even came to tie me into my dress on my wedding day which was amazing because I was so worried my bridesmaids wouldn't make it secure! She works quickly and is so much fun to talk to as she is working! Her prices are VERY reasonable as well. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

    I can not say enough about how wonderful Petra's work is.

    Quality: Second to none. She took my size 12 and took in down 2 sizes and it looks like it came that way. She redid bead work, took off the bow a hated and added more hand beading and lace. Also because of the style she had to make 2 different bustles (one in the back and one on the side).

    Responsiveness/Flexibility: She was available at anytime. I work late most days and she was very flexible (night/weekends/etc). She comes out right to your house and will deliver it to you as well. I also have to mention that at the day before the wedding my soon-to-be-mother-in-laws dress didn't fit after losing weight. Petra went to her house and altered it on the spot, at an amazingly low price.

    Professionalism: In going through the most important event planning in my life, she gave a strong, reliable, no worry process for my dress worries. Petra made it seem like anything I wanted was possible and if not she added a way it could be done. All her work is done in a smoke free place.

    Value: I priced out other vendors. Their is no comparison on price. She has super low prices, for the quality and care that goes into her work.

    The work she did for me:
    all of my 6 bridesmaids dresses, taken in, hemming, zippers
    both mother dresses and both of their over coats
    2 old coats, zippers, shortened sleeves in a thick coat
    hemmed pants
    fixed a sweater with a large hole in the side
    (in 1 day) altered the neckline of a dress i needed for attend a friends wedding

    Highly Recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Petra, is great she will do all your wedding needs and help your dream ocmd true with no stress , we works around schedules , comes to your house, and is also on time and ready. She puts a lot of time in all her work but , her work is also complete by your next fitting.! No job is to small or big for Petra she puts her heart everything she does .

    Petra has been nothing but extremely helpful and flexible throughout the process of me picking out my bridal gown and fitting it perfectly. She added additional touches, such as sewn in cups, to my gown to make it comfortable and perfect and one less thing that I will have to worry about on my wedding day. I highly recommend Petra's services and expertise in this area. She is truly wonderful and you will have a great experience with her!

    She remade a dress, taking out the lace up back, putting in a zipper closure and made it fit just perfectly. Smart, great style sense and so accomodating!

    Petra is the best around. She has done all of my prom dresses, my sisters prom dresses and my aunts wedding and bridesmaids dress. And now she has done my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses. She completely changed the back of my dress from a zipper to a lace up corset. I absolutely loved it and got so many comments on it. She is just plain awesome and super sweet. If she is still creating beauty when/if I have girls, I will be sure to go to her for their dresses!

    Working with Petra was an absolute pleasure. Although far from where I live, the drive was well worth it! Each step of the way she was polite, but honest.

    My dress fit perfectly, was comfortable and stayed put ALL day! I am a busty girl and chose a sweetheart strapless dress. I thought that I would be pulling at my dress all day, but I didn't touch it once! it went on at about 1:00 pm and stayed put until 1:00 am! The bustle way easy for my brides maids to tie up and it was not too difficult for me to go to the bathroom!

    The alterations were PERFECT!!! Thank you so much for making the dress fit my body perfectly!!!

    Not only was the shop I bought my dress in perfect and professional, it came with Petra! Thank you for making the dress easy to put on and stay on!!!
