  We used the bandstand area for our ceremony and the pavilion for our reception. I loved working with Michelle. She answered all of our questions and put us at ease whenever we had concerns. The staff assisted us throughout our wedding day and made it a pleasant experience for our guests. We also took advantage of the historical buildings and used them as unique backgrounds for our pictures.

  My husband and I had our wedding at Dallas Heritage Village on Oct 8th, 2011. I visited several times with my family when my brothers and I were children. We knew it as Old City Park then. This live museum is perfect for a wedding. The grounds are beautiful and you get a great view of downtown Dallas. I was surprised at how many of our 200 guests did not know about this hidden treasure. We received numerous compliments regarding our decision to have our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception there. We had various out of town guests including several people in from Europe, everyone loved Old City Park! The sales director, Michelle Davis, is a gem. She was accommodating, friendly, and professional every step of the way. Weddings can be incredibly stressful so it was nice to work with someone as genuine as Michelle. I highly recommend this as a wedding venue to anyone looking to have a unique experience. We used Glory House Catering who is on the Dallas Heritage Village preferred vendor list. They were excellent!

  Lovely Historic Venue

  We had a beautiful wedding here. I was a little nervous with some of the old reviews on here, but they have changed management and everyone was so helpful. The issues during our event (bug related because of Texas heat!) we're quickly resolved and staff worked to make up for it. I was so happy to have unique Texas history incorporated in our day!

  The Dallas Heritage Village was the perfect place for our wedding. We loved all of the history and so did our guests. We were able to have the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all in the park, but each at different buildings within the park to make things easier for our guests. They even had a carriage available that my husband and I were able to ride away on after the ceremony. Then it was available for our guests to tour the grounds before the reception. They were generally easy to work with except their event coordinator only works part time, so sometimes it took a couple of days to respond to emails. Overall, I highly recommend this venue.

  I absolutely loved having my wedding at this park. I went to it as a kid, so it already held fond memories for me. I chose to have the ceremony right outside of the pavilion and then have the reception indoors. Their prices are fair, but make sure you take air conditioning into consideration! It cost me $1,100 to have A/C for my wedding. The wedding coordinator for Old City Park was only present right before and right after the event. We wasted a lot of time trying to track her down with questions about the venue. The chairs and tables were set up when I arrived, with additional chairs I had requested for outdoors. Overall, the wedding was an amazing experience and I would recommend this beautiful park to anyone to visit, just be careful if you use it for your wedding. We were able to use lanterns outdoor in the evening and had donkey drawn carriage rides for our guests. Perfect location for a unique wedding experience.

  We got married here last fall and it was horrible. They don't close down to their visitors so we had people walking their dogs around during our ceremony AFTER HOURS, I almost stepped in dog poop on my way to my ceremony [thankfully I saw it last second and wore a short dress]. The amount they have online is about half of the actual price and it doesn't include much.
  
  The walk through is great but once it was time, it was a clusterfuck. Lack of communication, random people around, WAY more expensive than it should be.
