My husband and I are so glad that we stumbled across Dan Rice Photography. I can’t say enough about how professional Dan is and the quality of work that he provides. He has such a creative eye and was able to direct us perfectly for both our pre- and day-of wedding photos, capturing the perfect blend of candid and posed shots. Plus, Dan is genuinely a kind and good person. He was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the entire process and provided us with tons of great recommendations on locations, etc. We are over the moon happy with our final photographs and look forward to requesting his services in the future.Dan Rice Photography's reply:

We worked with Dan for our recent elopement in Neskowin. We had a vision of an early morning hike followed by the wedding and dinner, and he was super flexible about accommodating our requests. The first vendor I booked was Dan Rice as my Photographer for our wedding day on Rockaway Beach! I knew he was the photographer I wanted for our special day and I'm so happy I booked him. He had great communication, a positive attitude (even with all the craziness), captured everyone's personality, and I got so many photos that it was difficult to choose a favorite. I would highly recommend Dan Rice. Thank you so much! -

Dan did an absolutely amazing job capturing both our engagement session and wedding. We could not be happier with the photos that we got (and there were so many/in multiple formats)!! Dan and his team were absolutely outstanding from the moment we messaged them to receiving our finished products! He was really willing to travel for the job as he met us on the coast for our engagement shoot and in the forest near Vernonia for the wedding.
His professionalism is second to none as the quality of his photos were stunning, despite he and his partner taking photos for five straight hours on the hottest June weekend in Oregon's history! With temperatures topping 115 degrees, not once did they fail to capture each and every moment with smiles and sunblock on their faces.
The quality of photos will certainly keep us remembering our amazing wedding day for years to come and we recommend their business to anyone looking for an outstanding photographer!Dan Rice Photography's reply:

To say Dan is amazing would be an understatement. After canceling our big wedding due to the pandemic, Dan was flexible and was able to photograph our elopement, after changing locations. He arrived early, and really went above and beyond to make sure we got all the photos we asked for, and more! The photos we received from him are truly beautiful and timeless. We will definitely be using him for future occasions. -

Wow! Where to start, Dan Rice was an amazing photographer! I was a little nervous initially, because I couldn't find one bad review about Dan, and his prices seemed too good to be true! But I soon learned its because there's nothing bad to say. Dan did an amazing job with our engagement photo's and our wedding photos! I was blown away. I generally don't love photos of myself, but Dan did such a great job of capturing our big day, that I can't stop staring at them. Dan and the 2nd photographer he brought with him, really went above and beyond, and helped with things that weren't even photography related. They really helped the day go smoothly, and made both my husband and I feel at ease in front of the camera.Dan Rice Photography's reply:

Dan was wonderful! From start to finish he was professional, personable, and flexible! He went above and beyond to help our day be so special (even provided batteries when someone forgot to put them in a set of lights!). When we came down to a time crunch, he adjusted thoughtfully. We've had several family members and friends comment on how great of a person was, being friendly and ready any shot he could without being overly intrusive. We would love to rehire Dan in any future photo sessions we have and highly recommend him!Dan Rice Photography's reply:

Breanna Sent on 09/02/2017Dan was our photographer for our July 2017 wedding. He was incredibly easy to work with and didn't need any direction from us. My husband and I are often awkward and uncomfortable in front of the camera but he made us look good. Everyone raved about our engagement photos. He was especially accommodating when we asked for our engagement photos in Lincoln City instead of in Portland, where we live. His prices and photography packages are awesome! Kristine Sent on 07/10/2017When we started our wedding planning, right after booking the venue, Dan was the next vendor we booked. Surprisingly, unlike some of the other vendor choices Dan proved to be a very easy decision, looking through his portfolio it’s plain to see that his pictures are phenomenal. We were having a geek-themed wedding and as we browsed through his photos, we noticed he had photographed a few similar weddings with great success. As most people realize we would be relying on the photos to help relive the memories in the years after the wedding, so we really wanted the photographer to capture as much of the wedding as they could, and if we could offer one piece of advice to budget minded engaged couples, don’t skimp on the photographer. As Dan proved they’re well worth their price tag, Dan met our expectations on the day of the wedding and then far exceeded them with the finished product. He was prompt and energetic, ready to work from the second he walked in the door. He was creative with his suggestions, directed us on positioning and organization, knew when to pull back if needed, and helped keep us on schedule throughout the day. He cataloged and captured our entire day in a way that we never could, and the photos turned out beautifully. His ability to capture candid moments as well as setting up posed shots and having them look natural is uncanny, and the coloring pops out of the photo. Looking back on the experience we feel lucky to have found a photographer that went so far above our expectations in terms of quality of experience and results, fantastic job Dan. -

Jillian Sent on 08/27/2016Dan's work is breathtakingly gorgeous and I'm sooooo happy he was our photographer!
We met Dan at the Del Mar Bridal Bazaar. We talked to every single photographer there, and Dan was by far the best! Both my fiance and I agreed when we first saw Dan's booth, his photos were unlike all the others. Vibrant colors, beautiful landscapes, perfect framing - his work totally stood out above the rest. While talking to him Dan was incredibly friendly, and he even knew a trick for taking photos of dogs (instead of saying their name, make a weird sound)! Shortly after the Bridal Bazaar we set up a meeting at Starbucks. He answered all of our questions and showed us example wedding albums. Bonus for us: He's also read the Lord of the Rings books, which was perfect for our Middle Earth wedding!
Engagement Photos = Dan recommended a location that fit our checklist - we scouted it out and loved it. He was very easy to work with during the shoot. His positioning/posing instructions were easy to follow, which was very important because we know nothing! We brought along our dog (and one of my bridesmaids to help with the dog) and Dan knew exactly what to do to get great photos with our pupper. Unfortunately we got kicked out of the park because it was closing sooner than expected; I wish the shoot could've gone on longer but Dan was still able to get amazing photos.
Wedding Day = Dan hadn't been to the venue before so he arrived early to scout it out. Dan and his second shooter were able to capture a variety of photos, all of them beautiful. Portraits, details, action shots, guests' happy faces, even food photos - so many gorgeous photos to choose from. There are some split-second shots that I am amazed he was able to capture AND they came out beautiful!
Dan is very responsive via email and super easy to communicate with! He delivered everything on time (wedding photos took about 7.5 weeks). And his prices are incredibly reasonable! -

Stephanie Sent on 02/17/2016Dan was great! Found him at the Bridal Bazaar and loved his sunset pictures. That was one of the main reasons I went with him. And I'm glad I did.. He did not disappoint! Loved our sunset pictures from the engagement to the wedding. He is friendly and very professional. He answered all my emails promptly. And pictures were ready within the timeframe that he told me. Overall, a great experience and loved his style. He is very easy to work with and I would definitely refer him to anyone. -
User2493936 Sent on 01/05/2016A friend of ours recommended Dan. We looked over his work and just fell in love with his photos and his use of lighting that just makes the photos eye-catching. We met up with him and booked him soon after. He had done beautiful work on our engagement and wedding photos. We had the wedding on a military base which had time restrictions. Dan was accommodating in reducing the time we needed him since we could not use him for the full 8 hours. Our Comic-Con themed wedding had Dan running around to get a shot of our guests in costume. He was able to catch many candid shots which we loved. Book Dan - you will not regret it. -

Heidi Sent on 11/19/2014I found Dan Rice at the bridal bazaar and I instantly fell in love with his work! His packages offer great prices and comes with a lot of things. He is the nicest guy and worked very well with my wedding party. I even I got compliments after my wedding about how nice the photographer was. I couldn't be happier.
