  Darrell is amazing!!

  We did our engagement and our wedding day pictures with darrell and his assistant! Our pictures turned out so amazing! Darrell knows how to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera and will always make you laugh and ease in to it! They went above and beyond for us the whole time and we will always remember that! I’d recommend to anyone and everyone!

  Darrell is amazing to work with, neither my fiancé or I are very comfortable having pictures taken or being the center of attention, but Darrell put us at ease. He had us laughing so hard during our engagement shoot, and we had a great time. He was just as great at our wedding.

  Darrell did our engagement photos last week. He went out of his to way to meet us at Lake Michigan, since we just had to have a beach themed session!
  
  He is so much fun and kept it casual as we wanted. He really put me at ease (as I was rather nervous).

  Darrell Christie is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Where do I begin? Darrell Christie does not charge your eyes out with his packages. He aims to do an amazing job for the couples he works with for a fraction of the price for most photographers in the area. Darrell included in our package our engagement photos, boudior session, and 10 hours on the wedding day. Darrell went above and beyond the call of duty to get the right shot. He never rushed our sessions or crushed us for time. He stayed as long as it took to get the right photos. From each of the 3 photo sessions with him, I have hundreds of photos that I have all rights and access to to print as many as I want. Darrell was very responsive and professional. He was flexible and willing to work around our schedule. We greatly appreciated this as we live out of state. I would book him again in a heartbeat!

  Great (and tons of) photos, fun and easy going! We had a great time with Darrell and his wife at the wedding, as well as the engagement photos. We had a ton of compliments on our engagement photos and even though we haven't seen many wedding photos yet(our event was only 3 days ago) we know those will be even better, from the peaks he gave us during the reception!   We were very pleased with our wedding photographer...not only was he one of the most reasonable in town, he took TONS of pictures. He offers a free engagement session, which we took advantage of and had a large selection to chose from. After our wedding he gave us SEVEN discs worth of pictures to choose from (each about 300-400 pictures a piece). We also did our photobooth through Darrell, and it was a HUGE hit...everyone loved it. The photobooth wasn't your typical boxed booth, but an actual person took pictures with a very nice camera, which we ended up getting a copy of everyone's pictures. It was great!! Compared to a lot of the expensive photographers in the Traverse City, MI area...Darrell is a steal! I would highly recommend him to the budget-conscious!

  Darrell made our wedding day amazing!! He has such a great personality and is so good at what he does. He really made the day enjoyable and helped us to not stress out and enjoy ourselves. Darrell was a blast to work with. He takes such interesting and fun photos but still does a great job with the traditional wedding shots. We are so glad we picked Darrell to shoot our special day!

  Darrell did an absolutely amazing job with our wedding photos and photo booth. We got over 2,000 amazing photos from our wedding and I am having a hard time picking my favorites because there are just so many great pictures. Everyone in the wedding was comfortable with Darrell and he caught some really great moments that I didn't expect anyone to catch. Thanks Darrell for doing an amazing job and exceeding our expectations. You helped make the day perfect!

  Darrell Christie is a wonderfully dear person. He speaks from a great wealth of experience and yet is incredibly open to suggestions and creativity. He has a way of capturing perfect moments and generating genuine happiness around him. He’s a hilarious person to get to know and simultaneously keeps a level of professionalism in what he does that is hard to beat. We were fortunate to meet him and even more fortunate to work with him. His photo booth was a wonderful addition to our reception and the photos we took home afterward have become treasured and hilarious memories for us. His patience with the incredible list of photos we asked for was greatly appreciated while his charisma was applauded by all of the bridal party.

  Darrell does not make you feel uncomfortable in front of the camera. That was something my husband and I were nervous about, but Darrell did a great job showing us the different poses to do. Also, we live out of state so communication is essential. Email is definitely the best way to get ahold of Darrell. He often did not answer phone calls/texts but emailed back within a few days. We loved how our engagement pictures turned out and are looking forward to our wedding pictures! Darrell also provided the photobooth for our wedding, which the guests couldn't get enough of! So fun :)

  So a little about Darrell. He is an excellent photographer. One of the best I've ever seen.. but you better hope that you don't have deadlines for photos or hope to get them when he tells you. He told me at my wedding on 9/2 about 2 months. After 4 texts, an email and 2 months and 3 weeks, he told me he was "backed up". I would've be really worried about this, but when my sister hired him for a photographer, he did the SAME EXACT THING. Now to tell you why I hired him after all that.
