  Cannot thank David enough!! 10/17/20

  David made our wedding an absolute dream! Selecting music and the overall ambiance for the wedding can feel like such a daunting task, but with David Allen it was such a breeze. From the beginning David made the planning process very smooth and stress free, and made sure no detail was left behind. He lets you be as "hands on" in the planning as you want. We gave him some "must play" songs but let him take over for most of the reception, and he did not disappoint at all! I'm not kidding when I say he had our guests dancing the WHOLE NIGHT! Our friends and family are still saying it was the funnest wedding they've ever been to!

  David was awesome!!

  David was awesome!!! He made our reception so fun!! We keep getting told by our guests that they have never seen so many people dancing at a wedding. I mean what a dream come true! David went above and beyond. He even made cards with questions for our guests to fill out. Our hearts were so full to come back from our honeymoon and read what everyone wrote! David is extremely organized and well prepared. He created a binder that you fill out as much as you want or as little (we filled out everything we possibly could). Music is such a big part of mine and my husband's story, so picking the perfect DJ for our wedding was a must. I can tell you, David did not disappoint!!

  David is absolutely incredible. He is so much more than a DJ. He was was very accommodating; we live a few hours away from our venue and had no trouble working with us. Going into it, we had a lot of ideas of what we did and didn't want, but there was still a lot we hadn't even considered. He helped us work through so many ideas and craft the perfect reception. He has an entire workbook to fill out in order to determine exactly what we wanted out of our ceremony and reception. For example, one section was a do not play list. When my sister-in-law requested a song on our do not play list, he told her she had to get our approval first. It's small details like this that add up to make him the best DJ and MC that anyone could ask for. We would recommend him to any of our friends and family without a moments delay.

  David Allen was the best part of our entire reception. He brought energy and life to our wedding guests that ranged in age from 8 to 80! He was courteous and attentive from the moment we met at our first meeting through the end of the reception. One of the greatest assets of David is that he has put together a binder to help walk you through what you want your ceremony and reception to look like. This was invaluable for my husband and I since we didn't have a wedding planner. The binder took us through each part of the reception and asked us what our preferences were-and it let us omit anything that we didn't want. Going into the reception, I felt like I knew what the plan was and what was happening next, which was great because it allowed me to focus on my friends and guests instead of worrying about the flow of the reception. While he was not our cheapest option for a DJ/MC, I was so satisfied with how attentive he was to our requests for music. My husband and I are somewhat conservative Christians, and David did a great job of choosing music that was fun for everyone to listen without being too raunchy. We loved not having to worry about what was playing and what our guests would think of the music, which is what really allowed everyone to have fun. Overall would highly recommend David Allen Events! He was our favorite vendor from our wedding and really knows his stuff.

  David was absolutely wonderful to work with. Just take a look at his organized, detailed workbook of DJ plan, and you will know how much experienced he has in the industry, how professional he is and how much he cares to make the day special and fun for you and the entire party. He was always punctual with our meetings before the wedding, he is clear with what he will do (everything is laid out so clearly), and on the day of the wedding, our family and friends had so much fun because he would actually show them how to dance to certain songs. That made a big difference in the party because there’s so much interaction. We really enjoyed working with David, he is truly a great person to work with!

  David is seriously one of the coolest and most genuine people that I have met. He had been referred to us by the venue we were using. We met for two hours the first time and David presented to me a 60 page book that he had created for us to help us create the wedding that we wanted (I know that this book may sound a little intimidating due to its size but it is actually a really fun way for your and your fiancé to spend some time together and a good way to get eh grooms involved so it turned out to be a fun activity!) David did not disappoint at the wedding either! We gave him leeway to feel the crowd out and get everyone dancing (that was my #1 wish for the wedding) and he succeeded! I think everyone was sad when it was over! I know I was! Thank you David for doing such a good job! I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great DJ and MC who is willing to work with you based on your budget!

  David Allen showed up to our first meeting with a binder full more ideas than I could have dreamed up in a year. The planning process was simple, after going over the options with us we went through the binder as a couple and selected the events and music that we would like to include. I shared with him a playlist to build off of and gave him control to adjust the music to the crowd. There was never a dull moment on our dance floor and the music fit the audience, venue, and most importantly us perfectly.

What first won us over was his planning book that allowed us to select not only music, but a variety of other fun activities for the reception. It contained creative ideas and wedding traditions that we had not yet considered, so it really helped us plan the wedding. Otherwise, we would have overlooked some important moments and not planned accordingly. David was always accommodating and flexible (even changing the bride's song choice for the father-daughter dance, moments before the dance). He made it a fun and memorable event! He offers a number of services and enhancements such as photo booths and light effects. For the couple's Gatsby wedding, he had an art-deco light gobo, custom-designed with their initials. Then for their first dance, David made it SNOW...indoors...in Texas! He helped us create such a wonderfully memorable wedding and reception!   David is and can do the entire wedding experience of your dreams! He's able to keep up with the timeline without distracting from the important moments. His music and video effects helped create the perfect romantic ambience we were looking for. He even helped up find a good photographer!

  My wife and I wanted our guests and us to all have a great, stress free time, so it was important that as many decisions as possible were made before hand, and that all the different people involved were coordinated. This went off perfectly with David's orchestrating of everything. We were able to just enjoy the event without needing to be involved in any of the details on the big day. The process followed to anticipate all the events and details in advance was very very valuable. We will forever remember the day for the friends and family, the fun atmosphere, and for the lack of stress!

  David Allen was a huge contributor to the magic of my wedding day. When I first starting planning my wedding, I did not value the idea of hiring a DJ at all. All that changed after my parents attended a wedding deejayed by David Allen a few months before mine. They got me on the phone and gushed about the amazing work he had done as the master of ceremonies and music DJ, and in a way that put the couple and the crowd in the spotlight, rather than (as can be typical among DJs) his own personality. My parents' description of the work David Allen did made me realize that a genuine, top-notch DJ is really the glue of your wedding (or wedding reception). In my case, the wedding ceremony and reception were in the same venue, so David had many transitions of music and announcements to make. Without his professionalism and humble yet fun personality, I feel like my day would have lacked the magic it ultimately did. The guests were extremely enthusiastic about dancing in the middle of the day, and commented on how excellent of a job David did.
  
  David met with my parents and then with me for a total of two planning meetings. This was really appreciated given the complexity of my day (two religious ceremonies plus reception, all back-to-back). He also provided excellent uplighting and a sound system for the ceremonies and toasts.
  
  Also, I want to mention that David helped me identify a replacement wedding planner when mine flaked out ONE WEEK before my wedding. The planner he connected me to, with whom he had worked with on many occasions before, was a godsend. In sum, David Allen is a highly professional, personable, and talented DJ, and you will not be disappointed should you decided to reach out to him.

  With David Allen, you are given great mentorship in the planning stage. He provides you with a binder that allows you to completely customize your wedding day experience (according to the services you contract him for) from head to toe, and in such an organized manner.
  
  On the day of the wedding, he knows how to get the guests moving and how to keep them going all night. He is the ultimate entertainer and made our wedding reception a dream come true.
  
  Being one of the most kind-hearted people my wife and I have ever met, we could not have had the perfect wedding experience we had without all of his help. His services are truly such a great value and he is the only DJ/MC/Entertainer/Lighting servicer I would recommend.

  The best DJ! He did a friend's wedding and that's how I got his recommendation. Great guy and really listens to what you want your day to be like. He was great to work with and helped with any questions we had. My husband has hearing loss in one ear and we were concerned about the music being too loud and him not being able to hear, but David was great and had a wonderful solution that worked perfectly! We even had to leave a little early because a storm was moving in and he helped us move up the time. Everyone had a fabulous time. A lot of dancing and a lot of fun! Also, get the photobooth if you're thinking about it! Everyone loved it!! Great props :)

  David Allen made our wedding complete and so perfect. I had a good idea of what we were getting into based on his reviews but really I could never have expected the impact that David's work would have on our day. I'm not even sure how to put it into words. No one saw a night like we had coming. I think our guests expected what many formal wedding should be - boring and up tight. First the surprise bridal party introductions (hilarious) and the beautiful romantic first dance, and the very sweet Father/Daughter dance with my own words recorded for my father. Thank you so much for giving a copy to my father at the end of the night. That really means the world to me!!!
  
  The tone was set for a wonderful event all about us. He helped us to honor my mother-n-law in such sweet way...the mother-son dance that she will never forget, David personally suggested the perfect song. Prior to the event he spent hours interviewing us asking about our story and asking questions to put together an amazing night. He gave us a complete binder to help us make our special day even more amazing!!! How awesome is that?? Everyone loved David and calls me to thank me for an incredible wedding. David helped us with song selection and worked in all the songs on my husbands list. He really got the party going and it stayed that way. Our event had about 75 people - and there was always people dancing!! And the last dance was like none I've ever experienced! We were able to have a private last dance alone. It was so romantic. I had no idea there was a DJ out there who was seriously passionate about weddings and what they really mean. He was so dedicated and so sure to get every detail perfect. He is so accommodating and professional. He truly wants to make sure you love everything about your day. Who knew you could have a DJ that would get to know you well enough to be the Perfect MC?? Plus, his lighting was just right! You made our venue even more beautiful!!! Everyone thought our initials was sooo cool!! David, you are amazing and we are truly blessed to have had you. Thank you for making our wedding Our Wedding and a night never to forget. It was the best day of our lives!

He helped us to honor my mother-n-law in such sweet way...the mother-son dance that she will never forget, David personally suggested the perfect song. Prior to the event he spent hours interviewing us asking about our story and asking questions to put together an amazing night. He gave us a complete binder to help us make our special day even more amazing!!! How awesome is that?? Everyone loved David and calls me to thank me for an incredible wedding. David helped us with song selection and worked in all the songs on my husbands list. He really got the party going and it stayed that way. Our event had about 75 people - and there was always people dancing!! And the last dance was like none I've ever experienced! We were able to have a private last dance alone. It was so romantic. I had no idea there was a DJ out there who was seriously passionate about weddings and what they really mean. He was so dedicated and so sure to get every detail perfect. He is so accommodating and professional. He truly wants to make sure you love everything about your day. Who knew you could have a DJ that would get to know you well enough to be the Perfect MC?? Plus, his lighting was just right! You made our venue even more beautiful!!! Everyone thought our initials was sooo cool!! David, you are amazing and we are truly blessed to have had you. Thank you for making our wedding Our Wedding and a night never to forget. It was the best day of our lives!

  David was a huge hit at our wedding reception. Our guests raved about his sophistication and how interactive he was without being intrusive. He even got out on the floor and lead the line dances. We met with him twice and he took great time to customize the music and timeline to create the event exactly as we wanted. Highly professional and a genuinely nice person. I could not recommend him more highly!

  My husband and I were thinking about having our own friends MC/DJ our wedding when we first started wedding planning. However, we're glad we ended up hiring David Allen for our event! He is super organized and gave us a binder to fill out regarding our reception activities, song choices, and even included music CDs with top recommended songs for different parts of the wedding. Because we were both students out of town, he was very patient with us for making planning decisions pretty last minute as well as working with our music budget.
  
  We were looking for someone who wasn't going to be the typical "cheesy" DJ, and David was perfect on the day of. He customized music playlists perfectly to our taste and got our guests to dance way more than I thought they would! One of our favorite things about him is that he offers personalized touches that are truly fun and unique - such as table cards for guests to fill out with advice for the newlywed couple/song choices/poem for the couple, the newlywed game with questions from the audience, personalized intros for our wedding party at the beginning of the reception, love story, and many other options you can opt for if you would like!
  
  David was also our lighting guy on the day. Uplighting was an component my husband really wanted, and David set up the absolute PERFECT shade of light blue for us. It made our reception ballroom completely breathtaking and fit the rest of our theme so well. Know that he can be a pretty busy guy doing events aside from weddings though, so it might take him a few days to reply to emails. All in all, David is a super friendly, outgoing, and fun MC/DJ to work with who will tailor to your wedding and your style.
