David Cheney of David Cheney Photography tops the best of the best. It takes talent to find the right composition, get the camera settings right and focus on the subject. But it takes the rare genius to get the feeling, the essence and the emotion right. David does that. What a wonderful experience to have him in control of recording the day of my grandson's wedding. Thanks to him so much for freeze-framing the moments throughout the day. -

David is the BEST photographer we could have asked for. His attention to detail, was phenomenal. David was so helpful when it came down to creating a timeline and sequence of events for our big day. His patience was key, especially with some of our difficult guests... he handled them better than we did LOL!! He also did our engagement pictures, which also turned out beautiful. We are beyond happy with his work and highly recommend him for your special day!! HE IS THE BEST!! -

David was a phenomenal photographer. He scheduled the beginning of our day for us. He allowed us to choose poses and styles for the wedding, and he also incorporated his expertise in order to perfectly capture moments. He also creates stunning leather bound books full of photographs from the wedding, and I can’t wait to see how ours turns out. -

His continual attention to details during the wedding ceremony and reception shows in the way he captures all of the special moments every wedding couple would want. David Cheney is one of the best photographers the DFW has to offer. From beginning to end, he was professional, personable, and made us feel like we were the only couple on his mind. We started with David about 10 months before our wedding, and he was extremely responsive and met with us really soon after we reached out. We had heard from a friend that he was great, and when we saw his portfolio, we believed it! Fast forward to my bridal portraits and he made me feel like the most beautiful bride in the world. The pictures were amazing and he took time and spent hours with us on that session. The wedding was absolutely incredible. From ceremony to formals to our photoshoot in the vineyard, he was perfect. Everyone commented on how beautiful the pictures turned out, as well as how active David was during the reception. Every time I turned around, he was there taking pictures. I would highly recommend David if you want a friend in your photographer, but also someone who is professional and gives you pictures that look fake because of how perfect the shot is!David Cheney Photography's reply:

10/10 Would absolutely recommend!
David was so great to work with! He he was so accommodating when deciding what to do about our COVID wedding. He was very quick to respond to any questions we had during the planning process and offered great insight and recommendations when it came to the timeline and flow of the day. Above all his work is gorgeous! We are so extremely pleased with our pictures. They are stunning! We would absolutely recommend him to anyone for any photography needs! -

I cannot say enough good words about David Cheney. He is not only a phenomenal photographer, but his heart behind his work is remarkable. David truly cares about what his work means to the individuals he is shooting. He values his clients and treats them like family. We really enjoyed our experience with David. From the first conversation, we knew he was different. This is not just a job for David, it is his passion and we are so thankful to have found him! A little note on pricing, David charges reasonable and fair rates; however, his work is worth so much more...he could charge at least double. I think that shows just how much he cares about the people versus compensation. We will be working with David for future photoshoots and look forward to continuing to develop a friendship with him and his family. -

David really made our engagement photos special. I was under so much pressure at the time, trying to plan the wedding. David got me to relax a little during the session and took beautiful photos. He even got down on the ground for some shots! He helped us with poses and was even willing to drive an hour away for the perfect shooting location. -

Let me start out by saying that vendors really make a difference in your wedding day. David went above and beyond on our wedding day. He is so personable, and kind. He really takes great care in his work because he knows how special a wedding is. He is always available to talk on the phone, and gives great advice about weddings. He takes great care in making sure you are getting exactly what you want with the photos. His style is laid back and easy to work with. However, I cannot thank him enough for kind he was to me and my family. He was respectful, and there were so many moments where he went above and beyond what was asked of him. He called both me and my husband on the day of the wedding, just to ask if we needed anything, or if we needed him to pick up something. By the time I got to the wedding venue he had already taken 200 photos! He worked with the other vendors to make the wedding run smoothly. I got so many compliments on our photographer. Do yourself a favor, and hire David. You aren't going to regret it. The quality of his work is superb, and you are going to get more than what you paid for.
