I am so happy i went with amanda for makeup!

I had Amanda do my makeup for my bridal shower and it was just so beautiful!!! I had her do my makeup for my wedding day and she had notes on which makeup I preferred to recreate the same look!! I am so so happy I did this I even went to one salon for my hair and drove to this salon just to have Amanda do my makeup the day of, and it was perfect!!

I had my make-up (only) done at David Witchell's twice, once for my make-up trial and once for my day-of make-up. I had to pay for both times, but I got my lipgloss and lip liner for the day-of for free since I did the trial. I would definitely recommend doing a trial just to make sure your make-up is perfect (which mine was). It lasted all day both times, through the summer heat and sweating. My make-up artist was Dana, who did an absolutely wonderful job. I highly recommend her for any bride using DJW that doesn't know which make-up artist to ask for!

I got me hair cut/styled here before my wedding. The stylist I used was "Lilly" and she is wonderful! She cut my hair exactly the way I wanted I wanted it and is so sweet, too. It is a busy salon and has a tendency to be loud, but there are smaller rooms off the main one that are much quieter and more relaxing. They have many services available including makeup, massage, mani-pedicures, etc. Full service salon and they know what they are doing. May be a bit on the pricey side - but you get what you pay for here.

The stylists and makeup artists in this salon are magicians! They didn't need much direction and each and every woman in our bridal party came out of there looking amazing no matter their age. Lovely salon and atmosphere. Decent prices too.

I'm not from the area so I relied on a recommendation from our photographer (Candid Casuals) and I couldn't stop thanking them! Overall I felt ALL the salons around New Hope were extremely expensive and some of the others were asking us to sign contracts 6 months in advance with 5+ page contracts, all which I just found absurd. I thought David J Witchell was no exception but much more reasonable. I paid $110 for hair and $55 for make-up + $25 for lashes. The makeup was the most professional and well done I've ever received and I think most of the wedding party would agree.

Overall I loved my experience at David J. Witchell and felt for the overall experience, flexible contract setup, and end result it was worth the money. And it's the only time I've seen all the wedding party all LOVE their hair and makeup. After getting to the salon and seeing how professional and well run it was most of the party (moms included) ended up wanting to get hair and makeup (most had only booked one or the other). The salon was able to accommodate and keep us right on schedule.

They also let us drink mimosas which helped kick off the day. I wouldn't change a thing if I had to do it over again. Highly recommend them.

I went in for a salon appointment. Long story short, 4 hours and nearly $400 later, and I HATE my hair. I don't usually get my hair colored, so I thought I was doing the right thing by going to a "nice place" and paying for a senior stylist. I brought the picture on the left to show the stylist, and she said "oh perfect, I know exactly what you want, no explanation needed". So needless to say I thought she understood what I wanted, but just to be safe I said, " I want it to be subtle and natural looking, and NOT BLONDE." She agreed and went to go mix the color. She brushed it in, and then said I was gonna process for about 15 minutes. Half an hour later... while she's working on another client, someone finally came around to wash it out, as soon as she did I looked in the mirror and my hair was YELLOW. Straight up, blonde yellow. Noticing the honor on my face, she gets the stylist who says "oh we just need to put some toner in it". One round of toner later and a second stylist is cutting my hair. when she finishes cutting it the 1st stylist comes by and says "do you love it?!" to which I reply, "well no, it's not like the picture I showed, it still blonde and too yellow" So she says then we just need to do another round of toner. So ONE MORE round of toner later and now I'm officially the last customer in the salon. I decided to give up at this point because it's Sunday night and I am mentally distraught and starving.
After going home and having my husband try to convince me that it's really not that bad.. I woke up this morning and had to face it again, and yep still hate it. Biggest waste of money.
