TL;DR: David helped me with both my fiancé’s engagement ring and wedding band and both were beyond my expectations; my fiancé is over the moon.
Last fall I decided that it was time to take the next step with my now-fiancé (meaning I was pretty sure she’d say yes!) so the ring shopping began. My fiancé didn’t give a ton of direction on the design of ring she was interested in, and I knew that the big-box stores were not going to deliver the quality, uniqueness, or value I’d prefer; so I decided to go with a custom design, meaning I would purchase the center stone and then hire a designer to make the actual band.
A quick Google search will give you the advantages of building a custom ring versus picking up something from a jewelry chain or department store, but a disadvantage to doing so is you can’t see the work IRL beforehand. The Internet took me to Pricescope- an online community of folks that are REALLY serious about their custom jewelry- and that’s where I came across David’s name. There were many testimonials to the quality of his work and on the various posts, some posts going back years; further, David keeps an updated Instagram page (https://www.instagram.com/davidklassjewelry) where you can see the finished product. The 5-star reviews from his past customers and the posted work on his Insta page convinced me to take the chance on David.
After settling on my center stone (shout out to Jonathan at https://www.distinctivegem.com) and getting a ring design in mind, I emailed David with the details to get an idea of pricing. He could not have been better, getting back to me within 24 hours with a list of the exact info that he needed to give me a quote. From there I provided him the specs of the center stone, my ring’s design details, and inspiration pictures of similar rings; within the week he got back to me with (quite competitive) pricing and a timeline. With the design and price agreed upon, David was able to make a computer design of the ring and even mailed me a life-sized, 3D printed design sample so I could see it in person. He quickly answered any questions that I had and even gave some useful suggestions. The whole design process was taken care of via email over the course of a week or so; it was no sweat. David even showed flexibility when unforeseen circumstances caused a delay in my center stone. When the center stone was ready, I had it mailed directly to David, he confirmed receipt and got to work. He’d estimated the engagement band would take 5 weeks, but completed the ring sooner than that. Upon completion I received professional photos of the ring and gave the final approval. He then overnighted the ring to my home address where I could inspect it in person before submitting payment; he even included an appraisal which was useful for insuring the ring.
The final product was a homerun, and 5 months later I still catch my fiancé staring at the ring with a smile on her face. We used David again for the wedding band, and I’ll be going to him for any jewelry designs we need in the future. I cannot recommend him and his work highly enough!

David Klass created my dream ring. As a very particular individual, and after going to many jewelers, trying to design my ring. David Klass was the only place to make it happen. A few things I love about David Klass 1) Amy - she truly goes above and beyond. She made sure my ring was exactly how I wanted it to be. She sent us multiple cads and ring moldings in a few different arrangements. She made herself available to talk through the design on multiple occasions. And even after I received my final ring and there was one thing I wish I would have improved on the design (a design error I made not DK), she offered to make that change and recast the ring with absolutely no hassle. This happened not once but twice ... yes that's right, she recast my ring twice due to me finding something I wanted changed after receiving the final ring (I say again, the change was my fault NOT DK). Point is that they were so kind to make the improvement for me and never made me feel bad or gave any hassle. They truly wanted me to have the ring of dreams. 2) The cost - Our ring was designed with so much more detail than what we saw at other jewelers and it was significantly cheaper than what we were quoted at other jewelers to make similar with less detail 3) Customer Service - they do not ask for a dime until you are completely satisfied with the design and they do not charge you for additional CADs or anything like that. They really make sure that you are satisfied with the jewelry. I felt like I was treated so very well at DK, even with my particular eye, they were kind, welcoming, and motivated/determined to design the ring exactly how I wanted it 4) The quality - as I stated above, I am super particular. My ring is absolutely perfect.
I can't recommend them enough they are super easy to work with, great cost and just good people, a good company. -
Sarah Sent on 05/11/2018I had a nightmare experience with another "jeweler" (zhedora) and so I was very nervous going in. But I had a design in my head that I just could not let go of. I wanted a design in between the prongs from family rings and a low sitting halo solitaire mix that I couldn't seem to find anywhere. David made me feel so at ease with his professionalism. He got back to me within about 24 hours and had a CAD made within a day each time something was tweaked. Within 6 days we had what appeared to be perfect. He sent me a 3-d plastic model of the ring and it was almost perfect and set my fears from the last place completely to rest. Holding it in my hand and being able to see the proportions and how everything fit together was the consolation I needed. We did a tiny tweak and I'm thrilled with the finished product. I look at his instagram daily and have only seen excellent craftsmanship. To me none of it rivals the perfection of the ring he sent me. He was well within his proposed timeline and really worked to get it to us early as we were in a time crunch. Despite getting it done early the craftsmanship is exquisite. The diamonds are so well set that i can run it over fabric, pet my cats whatever and it doesn't catch on anything. It's so smooth I can wear it under gloves! I'm so over the moon with this ring I could not be any happier. He will certainly have a customer for life in me.

The best in the business, David Klass' work is nothing short of exceptional. He has made beautiful custom-made masterpieces of colored gemstone and diamond jewelery for me. He is receptive to ideas and the whole process was seamless. I am out of state and had no problems mailing the stones and getting the pieces made and shipped back. When my then girlfriend saw the ring David made for me, she had no choice but to say yes and we've been happily married since. David is very accessible via phone and email as well as in person. I was in town and wanted to drop off the rings for a touch up/polish and David met up with me and got it done no questions asked. His prices are very reasonable especially considering the quality of work and great communication. I highly recommend David for all your jewelery needs. -
User2311487 Sent on 09/11/2015After doing tons of online research and visits to jewelers, we decided to have David Klass do my engagement ring setting (pave halo). We found his pricing to be very reasonable and the quality of his work was superb. David knew exactly what I wanted and was able to produce just that. I've been very happy with engagement ring and have had no issues with it. We'll be returning to David's shop to order our wedding bands. The only thing to consider is that it can take up to 30 days to have your ring completed. So plan accordingly. -

Amy Sent on 12/09/2013I cannot say enough wonderful things about this man's ability to make jewelry dreams come true! As other reviewers mentioned he does get great feedback on jewelry-specific sites, which helped convince us to use him! My fiance and I knew we wanted an enhanced moissanite center stone and went looking for an e-ring that would melt my heart! I found a few I liked online but never "the one" so when I found a picture of a (diamond) ring that knocked my socks off we knew we had to have it made - but very few jewelers will do custom work with diamond alternatives. Many refuse simply out of snobbery, ugh! Not David - he works with all the traditional gems and metals and alternative stones and metals too! Within 24 hours of emailing David with a picture of my dream ring and requesting a quote he responded he could make me it for me - and for about $1000 less than another custom jeweler that comes highly recommended. It took us about 6-8 weeks to procure the center stone and from there we shipped it off to David. In his original quote he said it would take him 30 days to make the ring, so we settled in to be patient! It actually only took him about 2 weeks! He emailed me pictures of the finished ring on a Thursday afternoon for approval. The pictures BLEW US AWAY! We approved the ring and Paypal'ed the money to him immediately. Much to our surprise he overnighted the ring for next morning delivery! I was an hour and half late to work waiting for the UPS guy, but boy was it ever worth it! I am so in love with my ring! I cannot wait for him to make my matching wedding band next year! I cannot recommend David Klass any more than I do! His work is AWESOME!!!
