  My experience with Tom was hands down amazing.
  
  The first thing that I really appreciate about Tom is that he was very understanding of my husband and I when we had to initially cancel our wedding. It was a difficult time, my husband and I were on a hiatus from each other, but Tom made this process very easy when he heard the news.
  
  Fortunately, afterward he was very helpful in the transition to a new date/smaller ceremony/smaller venue.
  
  Tom is in Indiana, and I am in Illinois. The fact that we were able to communicate and online and through the telephone to create my ceremony was ideal and our plans were perfect.
  
  We included one speaker and giving of roses, as well as a memorial rose for my fiancee's late mother.
  
  I can tell you that everyone at my ceremony was definitely happy with it, completely pleased with the facing-forward aspect (I got so many texted pictures right afterward! It made it so easy for everyone to catch the moments!)
  
  Now I'm not going to lie: in the beginning 5 minutes of my ceremony, I simply heard Tom's voice but DID NOT comprehend a word coming out of his mouth because I was so nervous. However, when viewing the video, I was so pleased with the content of his ceremony. It was beautiful, heartfelt, and non-religious for the sake of my husband who is agnostic, yet still had the important aspects of a "traditional" religious ceremony.
  
  Anyone that complains about Tom is simply a bride-zilla - in my hiatus, I realized how important it is to just let a professional do his profession correctly instead of trying to dictate or having other people try to dictate when they aren't officiating; that's what I did, and I have the best memories because of it.

  One word...AMAZING! Thomas Witham is very efficient, professional, poetic, and had an eye for photography. His style is very unique from any other wedding I've ever seen. I loved how he makes the bridal party face the audience, not only will that look good for your wedding pictures but your loved ones get to see your reaction. He makes you feel very comfortable, so don't worry about getting cold feet! He's also very funny! My guests came up to me right after my ceremony and told me that he was very entertaining, with a powerful, loving message. I just had to review him because I, along with my groom and guests were extremely impressed by his work. I've highlighted a few bullet points of what makes him stand out from all the rest:
  
  1.) Very professional--this is not his first rodeo so he knows exactly how to run a ceremony.
  
  2.) He's open and encourages you to add YOUR own style--I married into a different culture but I had more traditions that I wanted to implement and Thomas thought it was great. After all, it is your wedding so have it your way! I also had my uncle, who is a deacon say a few words in Spanish.
  
  3.) He's very reasonable and upfront of the price. It's affordable and you get more than what you pay for!
  
  So if you're looking for a memorable, unique, and smooth ceremony I would highly recommend Thomas Witham as your officiant. If you don't believe me check out his work on YouTube!

  Tom was amazing!! I couldnt be more happy with our wedding day! He was super flexible we ended up being about an hour behind because of my husbands family being last minute and he was extremely understanding and pushed our time back an hour at no extra charge! I was crying so hard worried he'd cancel on us but he was totally understanding! Everything was just beautiful he did not add anything without our knowledge and did everything exactly how we wanted! He even dealt with my moms multiple requests for him to take tons of pictures! And he never lost his smile. And he said we had to do our own vows and we'd thank him later for making us do it. And i have to say i cant give a big enough thank you for making us do our own vows! I am so happy i found tom!

  I could never express how special Thomas made this day for my son who is in the Navy and his new bride. He included photography by him in his price and that was amazing. He is very inexpensive, very professional and also very attentive to all your needs.

  A great big thank you to Tom Witham! Day of Dreams exceeded our expectations for a contemporary, "customized to us" kind of wedding. Tom was very thorough, and his website helped show options very well. He had lots of good input and advice, and he really listened to us. So many of our guests have said he was fantastic. My favorite thing - we faced our guests (yes, a little scary, but a much better experience). Again, a great big thank you to Tom for making our special day exactly that......truly special.

  My sister-in-law worked with Tom and after seeing how awesome he was, we knew we had to work with him too. Tom has a wonderful presence about him and you have no choice but to relax and go with it. He is easy to work with, professional and carries himself well. You are missing out if you pass him up!

  Tom Witham performed a wonderful wedding ceremony downtown Chicago in front of the Chicago Water Tower. I was very nervous and had many questions for Tom (like a normal bride does) and he was very informative and helpful. We had a beautiful ceremony! Our son was also incorporated in the ceremony, we were able to perform parental vows to him which I thought was a great idea! Overall, Tom is a wonderful officiant and I would recommend him to anyone. -Bart and Jessica

  There is only one word I can use to describe Tom..."Fabulous". That is an understatement. It's been approxmitaley 8 days since Tom officiated my wedding and my mother is still getting phone calls about him. Our guests were immediately impressed and overwhelmed in a good way when he did our ceremony. There were repeated comments of "I have never seen a ceremony like this!" "Where did you find him?" . Your guests will be in awe of his presence and his officiating. He made them laugh and cry. One of my mother's friends said she wanted to kiss him after the ceremony but she was afraid that would have been improper. She thought he was a clergyman. He's not so a kiss is ok with him I assume. :-)
  
  When we were taking our vows, I was about to cry and my voice cracked. I will not share what Tom said but he quickly turned my tears of joy into one of the best laughs I ever had. Not only was I laughing but our guests and the wedding party were sharing in the laughter too.
  
  I should mention that I was an out of town bride. Both my new hubby and I are originally from Chicago. I came across Tom when his name appeared on a list of approved wedding officiantes at the one of the venues we were considering if we were going to have the wedding in Chicago. Things happened and we decided to have the wedding in Atlanta where we live. I started searching for other local officiants. None of them had the detailed web site that looked like Tom's nor the variety of wedding special moments. We made the "financial sacrifice" and flew Tom in to Atlanta. Oddly enough it was his second trip here. He had just officiated for another Atlanta couple that previous week. He was well worth the money and travel expenses. He exceeded any officiant in his delivery. My wedding planner stated anybody could do the ceremony from the back of the room. I said Tom would be doing more than just the standard wedding ceremony. She did not believe me. I am happy to say we proved her wrong!
  
  One of his key strengths is creating photographic moments. Your photographer will appreciate Tom's ability to cue them for photo opportunities. They will miss nothing. I wish this site would allow publication of pictures! I could truly back up my statements. He will be your photographer's best friend during your special day. Heed my words..."Do the bubbles". I will let Tom explain or just go to his website.
  
  Tom is by far not only the best wedding officiant in Chicago but also the best wedding officiant in Atlanta and truly nationwide. He should have his own wedding show! You will be extremely happy to have him as your officiant. Your guests will appreciate it. He will provide a very memorable wedding ceremony that you will treasure forever!

  Tom Witham did an oustanding job on our service. I loved that we were able to personalize it and include our children in our ceremony. He helped us through the planning and execution and even helped us make it through the ceremony when we got a little choked up. He was fantastic. Our ceremony was just beautiful. His website is fantastic for helping you plan your ceremony as well.

  We contacted A Day of Dreams to be our officiant, but he was booked the day of our wedding. He gave us the phone number to Mike C. Hamilton who does the same thing as A Day of Dreams. This review is for Mike C. Hamilton (we would never have found him if we didn't go through A Day Of Dreams) but he is not listed on this site in vendors...
  
  Mike was great- we met him in person and felt he would be able to help us prepare a ceremony that meant something to us. He helped organize and put together a great ceremony.   Tom Witham from Day of Dreams is wonderful! As this was a second marriage, I wanted something totally different and unique -- and facing the guests instead of having your backs to them was it. Mr. Witham stated that it would get the guests involved in the ceremony -- and he was right. By the end of the ceremony I don't think there was a dry eye on the boat. Mr. Witham is very precise. The ceremony was fabulous! We received many comments on how beautiful & memorable the ceremony was. I couldn't have dreamed of a better ceremony.

  Tom did a wonderful job providing us with a wedding that was unique, special, well thought out, planned and coached.
  We were THRILLED with Tom's services. ALL of the guests loved our wedding and complimented us throughout the evening on the unique wedding ceremony.
  Working with Tom was a "dream" as he covers all the elements of the wedding on his extensive website. Tom's customer service was impecable!!!

  Tom was so wonderful, words fail me. Our wedding was a combo of Christian and Buddhist traditions, and we were just at a loss for how to do things, how to incorporate both traditions respectfully, what kinds of non-traditional rituals we could use - and of course to keep our guests open minded and not have anything the least bit divisive. Tom came to our rescue! I had seen his website and knew that I wanted us and bridal party to face forward, that was crucial. And I wished Tom could do the wedding but he's in Chicago and we got married in Columbus, so that was out, we had no travel budget for him. However, I contacted Tom and he said, I would be glad to help you plan your ceremony, I would like to start doing this for people remotely! He was just fantastic. He kept us on target to get everything designed and decided on a very tight timeframe. He was flexible with the different traditions we needed to incorporate, and was so very encouraging about our mission to make things inclusive and non-threatening. Our ceremony was so beautiful. We had 15 or more people tell us it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever seen. Lots of people cried and the other thing was, when I looked out at my loved ones during the ceremony, everyone was smiling all the time! I have never seen so many wonderful smiles during a wedding. The value for the nominal cost was absolutely amazing. I would recommend Tom to anyone, he is fantastic!

  Tom was absolutely fantastic! We didn't want to have a traditional wedding ceremony and Tom helped us change it to our liking with class and beauty all the way! We ended up doing wine sharing instead of the traditional candle lighting, which fit us well, as we both love wine and frequent tastings. And chose our own readings and music, walking down the aisle to Bon Jovi! (It was a slow Bon Jovi song. =) And Tom threw in a joke now and then, when appropriate! Everyone loved him and loved our ceremony. I still get comments about it now 8 mos. later! I actually had a friend call the other day and ask how to contact him because her brother was getting married and she had told him about our ceremony!

  Because of this man, my wedding ceremony went off without a hitch! I loved every minute of it. He made me feel so relaxed, and made the guests feel as if they were a part of everything. THE BEST!

  "This was the best wedding I've ever been to!" Those were the first words out of my friend's mouth. That says a lot as there were 5 other weddings this year. Tom was outstanding. My wedding ceremony was much more that I ever dreamed. I loved being able to look at my family and friends during my ceremony. Tom always gave us encouraging words and basically took our nerves away. The ceremony was so intimate and interactive. A guest of mine told my mom that if he ever gets married again, he'd definitely choose Tom. Some may be taken aback by his fee. HE IS TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!

  Officiant Thomas Witham was wonderful!! He was professional and reassuring throughout our planning and the ceremony itself. The only thing that was a little difficult, and nothing he did, was that in having an outdoor service, there was a microphone issue, an airplane and a train, and I had some trouble hearing him. Something inherent about the outdoor venue, but it was a gorgeous day, and Thomas did a fantastic job. Facing our guests was a gift in itself, as we could look out at our friends and family smiling back at us. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

  My husband and I don't attend a church so we were looking for an officiant that would be perfect for us, but wouldn't make us feel bad. I came across this officiant when I was searching the web and knew he was the one I wanted instantly. Just by his in-depth website I could tell that he could make my ceremony interesting, but still meaningful and heartfelt. We chose to have a flowergirl and a bell-ringer. We also had a ring bearer. We did the candle lighting and the memorial. We laughed and cried and people still tak about our ceremony and it has been 6 months...it was a great ceremony and I doubt we could have gotten the same results with a different officiant.

  Let me preface this review by stating that overall, my ceremony was very beautiful. I have no complaints regarding how the ceremony appeared to our guests. Everyone, including my husband and I loved the way the ceremony looked in person and on video because we are facing our guests. That is an aspect I cannot complain about. I do however have several grievances I wish to convey to future brides.
  
  Personality: I appreciate that Tom gets right to the point but just a note to future brides, he does come off a little pushy and almost a little rude and demanding. My parents and several members of my bridal party commented that they did not appreciate the way he was "instructing" us to do things. It was very much like we had to do what he said and how he said it and it took away from the ownership we felt over our own ceremony.
  
  I also was aware that I had not paid him the remaining balance and we had a check ready to give him, prior to the ceremony during our rehersal time. Before I was even given the opportunity to give it to him privately, he greeted me, said hello and in front of family and friends that were with me getting ready, he said basically okay, first off, do you have my check? Many of us just found this very tasteless, he could have asked me this privatley but he did not.
  
  My husband is Serbian and part of our ceremony including a wine sharing momeny. Tom had suggested we use 2 glasses which really wouldn'y wine sharing. In my husband's tradition, they drink from the same cup so we opted to do so. I had to get my wedding video editing because during our ceremony, Tom chose to put in his individual opinion about this and said "Drink wine, but never from the same cup... that is of course you are from the Serbian tradition"... some of his family commented that they found this a little condescending and they did not appreciate it.
  
  And finally, the marriage license. After the ceremony we had the envelope with the keepsake fake license and the one we were to sign. He took the fake one and told us, this is trash, it means nothing, what you need to do is throw this away, it is pointless. Comments like these occured a lot and were unneccesary. But furthermore:
  
  2 1/2 weeks after my wedding, the county courthouse called to ask if I actually did get married because they never received my signed marriage license! I had already wrote a check and mailed in my request for several copies. So I lost out on that money. So I called Tom and he said " Oh yes, it must have slipped past me" as if it was no big deal! It was extremely inconsiderate and really unprofessional. We paid him $500 to perform our wedding and the most important part was making it legal. So it's almost a month since I've gotten married and legal, we really arent married yet. Then he had the nerve to ask what people said about his ceremony! Thank you for making it "look" nice, that I appreciate but the personal opinions, aggressive technique and forgetful habits were not appreciated.

  Cancelled without telling us

  Tom sent me a contract on 01/24/2020, I sent him back the signed contract on 01/30/2020 asking where to send the deposit, he never responded. He told me over the phone during our first and only call "you are set in stone on my calendar, don't worry about your date being taken". I never heard back but figured we were all good since his words seemed so strong. I followed up with him 07/01 asking where to send the money so we could pay all our vendors, he responded saying "your contract was only good for one week". It is now two months before my wedding and I am scrambling to find an officiant. I would not recommend working with him due to this.
