    Review for Anissa

    So this review isn’t necessarily for Bottle and Ice but for Anissa Hedges, the company owner. Anissa also works as a wedding coordinator and stepped in to coordinate our wedding at the last minute when our original coordinator had to step down do to family reasons. Anissa seamlessly picked up from where our original coordinator left off. She was great at making sure we had everything in order and very communicative with us and our vendors. On the day of our wedding she made sure everything ran as smoothly as can be. We had no hiccups and were able to enjoy our big day with little to no worries. With as great was she is as a coordinator, I’m sure here bar service is just as excellent and would recommend working with her.

    Hire them now

    Do not hesitate and book Fire and Wine for your wedding - you will NOT regret it. Gretchen and Chris are beautiful souls that make AMAZING food.

    We had some wedding mishaps, which altered our wedding day timeline. Gretchen and Chris handled it like pros - all the while being so thoughtful, generous, and pleasant to be around. They had their adorable son with them helping out, which we loved. It's clear they care deeply and are committed to their craft. They also packed up leftovers from cocktail hour and dinner without being asked - checking in multiple times to make sure everything was taken care of. We stayed overnight at the AirBnB we had the dinner at, and my family showed up the next day asking "where's the pizza?"

    If we do end up having a larger celebration after COVID, we definitely plan on asking Fire and Wine to cater again!

    I loved working with Gretchen and her team! They were highly professional, extremely efficient and OH SO DEELICIOUS! The perfect combo for flawless catering! I can't wait to work with them again.

    Fire & Wine is on Fire!

    We absolutely love the entire team at Fire & Wine! We have worked two weddings with them to-date and they have knocked it out of the park both times. It's rare that we add a vendor to our preferred list so quickly, but we just had to! We look forward to working with them for many years to come!

    When we decided on serving pizza at our wedding, we figured it would just be a fun, out of the ordinary reception dinner that none of our guests could complain about… In hiring Gretchen and Chris, what we received was an unbelievable meal from beginning to end that won’t soon be forgotten by anyone in attendance. From the beautifully assembled charcuterie board, to the perfectly prepared selection of wood fired pizza’s and everything in between (mind-blowing bruschetta!) there was not a single course or ingredient that didn’t exceed all of our expectations.
    Deciding to hire Fire & Wine did not require much deliberation. We had a quick slice at a pop-up in San Luis at the end of a very long day of tastings. While the few bites of pizza we had that night was great, it was the people making the pizza that really made up our minds and we hired them on the spot. Gretchen and Chris are as sweet as they are talented and hard-working. A married couple themselves, their enthusiasm and communication put us at ease immediately. The only difficulty we encountered was selecting a menu from their extensive, ever changing list of delicious-sounding pizzas and sides; but you really couldn’t go wrong if you tried.
    Our wedding site (a Morro Bay ranch located at the end of a long, bumpy, winding dirt road) was not exactly made for towing a pizza oven to and from, but this was no problem for Fire & Wine. They arrived on-time without issue, and got right to work. The spread they put out was so gorgeous it could have doubled as a decorative wedding feature, until our guests ate it all that is. Two weeks later I’m still receiving comments on the “amazing food” and don’t expect that will end soon.
    We didn’t have much of a chance to thank them that night with so much going on, but our wedding simply wouldn’t have been as great as it was without Gretchen and Chris. If you have a wedding, party, or any kind of event at all coming up and you’re looking for a caterer, do yourself a favor

    Thank you Gretchen and Chris for helping make our wedding so special! Fire and Wine was incredibly easy and friendly to work with. They are truly awesome people. They have a huge selection of pizza and other foods that really impressed our guests, and they do an amazing job of setting everything up and serving. People had so much fun being able to watch their pizzas cook in the wood-fired pizza oven that Fire and Wine brings. It was so difficult to choose among the pizzas and desserts they offered on their menu, but our guests loved everything we chose and we received so many compliments throughout the night. I highly recommend working with Fire and Wine for your wedding.

    Gretchen and her crew couldn't have been more professional from the get go. And the food was wonderful. I only wish they were closer to Los Angeles so we could use them more often. Overall a fantastic experience.

    Fire and Wine did our catering at our wedding at Tiber Canyon Ranch. Chris and Gretchen responded quickly to emails and they go above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly on your wedding day. They have a large assortment of pizzas, (Fig and Bacon and Pest/artichoke hearts) are my favorite! They have a large charcuterie board that all of my guests raved about. We also used a bartender through Fire and Wine that was perfect! I would highly recommend Fire and Wine Catering for your event!

    We used Fire & Wine Catering for my Son's Wedding rehearsal dinner and it was fantastic! What a great experience Chris & Gretchen provided for us! Beautiful display of all of the food provided and no one left hungry! Thanks again for all you guys did!

    Gretchen and Chris are easy to get along with and made our special day even better! Excellent fare, great service and friendly faces. We also hired them to provide a bartender which was one less detail we had to worry about. We would recommend Fire and Wine for any wedding or special event. Our guests still mention the great food we had at our wedding!
