We were left looking for a caterer with relatively short notice for a Friday in the summer. They responded quickly, wanted to work with us, provided great options, and were one of our favorited vendors. They even provided servers, which we did not expect--we thought they would just drop off the dinner and we would do self serve! Exceptional in all areas.DeLish Catering's reply:

We were very pleased with our choice to use Delish Catering for our wedding. We chose to have a plated dinner service to fit our more formal wedding. There were enough servers to ensure all of our guest received their food in a reasonable amount of time. The food itself was delicious! We gave our guests the choice of stuffed pork tenderloin or poached salmon. Delish was very accommodating and provided a vegetarian meal for one guest. As my new husband and I finished our meal the chef came out and ensured we enjoyed our meal and told us how amazing we looked. All of the Delish staff members were incredibly sweet and helpful! We received many compliments from our guests about how great the food was. Delish also made our nontraditional wedding cake. Rather than a standard wedding cake we chose to have a cannoli tower with a small cutting cake on top. Both the cake and the cannolis were very good, beautiful, and a big hit with our guests! A delish bartender also worked at our event and did an incredible job. He was extremely friendly and fast! We worked with Lacey, the director of catering sales, during our planning process to organize what we wanted for the wedding. She was very responsive and helpful with ensuring they were carrying out our vision. The day before and the day of the event Shannon, the owner, was our point of contact. She personally served our sweethearts table and ensured we had everything we need. Shannon was so sweet and such a delight to work with! Towards the end of the night my new husband spilled his drink on my dress and Shannon came out of nowhere with a towel and immediately started cleaning off my dress. She went way above and beyond what we had expected. I would recommend Delish to everyone for any event! -
User2329191 Sent on 09/22/2015Delish Catering catered a company dinner for 11 people that we held at a private residence in McCall, Idaho. They were incredible to work with and were able to plan the dinner with less than three weeks' notice! We gave them an idea of what we wanted to serve at the dinner and they put together a fantastic menu (everyone is still raving about the smoked trout cucumber cup appetizers and the grilled New York Strip Loin). The service was very impressive as well - several of our guests commented on how they felt like they were in a fine dining restaurant. We hope we have the chance to work with Delish Catering again!

The food was amazing (many guests have made the point to tell us this!), the buffet line looked great, and all the details were taken care of, so that we had nothing left to do, except enjoy! I would highly recommend DeLish to anyone looking for catering in the McCall area!

Food was great, we had the tri tip, mango chxn, asparagus, and really good mac and cheese. Didnt charge me for china since they were out of bamboo plates, but there was already a 20% gratuity added to the bill which is normally what I tip anyways. Generally I would tip after service, though I understand its probably in place for cheapskates. All-in-all great service an food and they brought decor for their setup that matched our colors. Would reccomend -

I didn't appreciate them bothering me with the fact that my guests had brought in alcohol from the plaza. It could have been brought to the attention of the maid of honor. The best man. The DJ. Just not me. I was a little frustrated with that. I asked the catering rep. to just go get on the mic and tell people their policy. Don't make the bride do it.
And, I heard they ran out of a lot of liquor towards the end - despite me telling them time and time again that my guests would drink a lot.
I truly think that to maximize efficient service, and make more money, the company should accept credit cards with an ipad and a square and let people start tabs. -

User3126733 Sent on 07/11/2017We used Delish Catering for our wedding last month and were pleased with the service and food they provided. As with many couples, we were so busy running around and talking to our guests that we did not get to eat as much of the food as we would have wanted during the wedding but we both tried all the components on the menu during the tasting several months before. Our menu included appetizers (bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeno peppers, huckleberry pepper jam chicken skewers, and Swedish meatballs) then smoked beef brisket (which they smoked on site!), mac and cheese, coleslaw and corn bread. Everything tasted excellent; we got multiple compliments from guests on the food. Another highlight was the buffet presentation. The food was served out of Dutch ovens and cast iron skillets which really fit in with our barn wedding. The bar tender was also good and made our lavender lemonade signature cocktail delicious. They tended to clear plates too quickly and I know several guests had their plates cleared and weren’t able to finish their food. Delish Catering charges gratuity on the estimate so it’s set at a fixed percentage and paid before services are rendered. Another issue we had was that no one realized until a week before the wedding that there were going to be white charger plates, and white napkins on a white tablecloth so then we had to change to gray tablecloths very close to the wedding. It was fairly difficult to get pictures of items that I was interested in renting and the photos I did receive often did not have the best lighting so it was difficult to determine the true color of items. I would recommend this company on the basis of the fantastic food and buffet presentation.

Initially, the interactions with this vendor were positive and communication was consistent. However, once we were about 2 weeks away from our wedding, the caterer would not return my calls or emails to confirm details and make a few last minute changes. It was very stressful as we were leading up to our big day. My husband and I had a very clear vision for what we wanted at our wedding reception from the caterer and asked a lot of questions and made our wishes very clear. One of our ideas was to have family style platters to deliver food as opposed to a buffet or plated food. The family style platters that were used were far too large for people to pass. Multiple guests had to hold the platters for other guests to get their food. The sides were delivered 15-20 minutes before any of the protein/risotto. All guests had already finished eating the sides before any of the main courses were delivered. Servers were telling guests different things related to the food; some servers were informing guests they could have as much as they wanted to eat and others were saying they could only have 1 piece of protein. There was zero consistency. There were not enough wine glasses for our guests and the bartender asked one of my bridesmaids to return her champagne flute an hour and half before the end of the reception so they could clean the glassware. As we were taking pictures (before our ceremony), a member of the catering team was standing within earshot on her phone complaining to someone about all the things that were going wrong with the catering set-up. Another one of our requests to the caterer was a plate of apps for my husband and I to eat, knowing that we would be interacting with our guests and not have much time to eat. We did not see nor were offered one appetizer and were starving by the time we sat down to eat. We also both got one bite of cake, which we fed to each other, and did not get to enjoy our cake.
Unfortunately, the food did not make up for the poor service. The risotto was flavorless and dry and the salmon was over cooked, leaving it also extremely dry. We even did a tasting with this caterer and the salmon did not taste near as good as the tasting. I reached out to this caterer to provide this feedback and never heard back from her. I will not be doing business with her again and would not recommend her.
