We fell in love with the delta when we took a tour for a potential wedding venue. It was so beautiful and the access to the beach was a major plus. They had everything so the wedding could all be in one place from the ceremony to reception, food, and a place for guests to stay. We wanted a beach wedding and the Delta staff were so accommodating and made our vision come to life. The suites we stayed in were so nice and had so much space for the groomsmen got ready in. The bridesmaids got ready in the whitehurst suite and it had so much natural light for photos. Everything from the wedding to the reception went on with easy and the staff was very helpful during the whole day. Our wedding was so amazing and we cannot thank the Delta and the coordinator, Nicki, enough!

Having our wedding at the Delta Marriott on Shore Drive made all of our wedding dreams and wishes come true. From the gorgeous set up on the beach, to the beautiful ballroom, to the sunset photos taken by our family and friends I would highly recommend this venue to all engaged couples. Nicki, our hotel coordinator, was a huge help during the planning process and the entree sampling was a lot of fun! We can’t thank Nicki enough for making our wedding day so special and run so smoothly. Also, the food is incredible! I love everything about the Delta!!! :)

We got married at the Delta and couldn’t have asked for more! It was a beautiful venue and the staff was absolutely amazing. Nicki was the wedding coordinator at the Hotel and went above and beyond the call of duty for us endless amounts of time. I was constantly emailing her and texting her and she was also so calm and put out any fires I had. It was so nice to have the wedding the dinner and dancing all in a hotel where guests could stay. I would recommend the Delta to anyone! Also beach pictures at sunset are so beautiful!

A beautiful, perfect experience! We had THE BEST day, and it's all thanks to Delta and their incredible team. From start to finish, Dawn communicated thoroughly, and her response time was fast. She helped from start to finish and left no question unanswered. She helped guide us with costs, hotel block arrangements, seating arrangements, our tasting, and everything in between. The hotel staff was wonderful, they greeted us all weekend with smiles on their faces, and made sure had everything we needed. We HIGHLY recommend Delta Bayfront Suites for your wedding. The location, the venue, the setting, you can't go wrong! We woke up the next morning ( in our BEAUTIFUL suite) and both said " LET'S DO IT AGAIN NEXT WEEKEND" ! Thank you Dawn & team!

From the second we visited the Delta, we knew that this was the perfect venue for our wedding. I had wanted a beach wedding and the bay was the perfect setting. The deck overlooking the beach facing the sunset is beautiful. Dawn was great from the start and incredibly responsive, answering any of our questions whenever they came up. She made our planning a breeze. The staff the day of was amazing. We had a few minor changes to the timeline during the reception and they handled it with no problem. Our bartender for the wedding was fantastic and all of our guests could not stop commenting on how awesome she was and they loved chatting with her!

Man, when we started our wedding vendor search right before COVID hit in 2019, we had one thing on our mind; we wanted to be married on the beach! Do you know how hard it is to have a beach wedding in Virginia Beach, what with needing to have a permit to be married on a public beach, needing to come up with a separate back-up plan, in case of poor weather, and the separate fees you'd have to pay for chairs and arch rentals, not to mention figuring out parking for your guests?!? I was SO thankful that the Delta Hotels by Marriott was opening up four minutes from our home because they made planning a beach so effortless! Although their opening was delayed, and our original wedding date postponed, Dawn was my point-of-contact and a wealth of knowledge and information throughout our planning period! She gave me such confidence from the very beginning, starting with many e-mails answering my numerous questions (which spanned over the course of 2 1/2 years!). I don't know what I would have done without her!

At the Delta, you'll have Dawn, who'll literally be there every step of the way answering any possible questions you have, and believe me, there will be many! She'll even go out of her way to find out ingredients used in the different meal options, if you have someone highly allergic to many random ingredients, and she'll do it without ever seeming like it's too much (although I do apologize for the countless inquiries I had for her! haha). At the Delta, you'll have the best view of the beach whether you choose to get married in the sand or the Dune Deck, and their reception hall overlooking the bay is breathtaking! Did I mention the beautiful room you get to stay in on your wedding night?!? It literally feels like a condo! I highly recommend upgrading to the full view of the bay! It's outstandingly beautiful!

When my husband and I entered our hotel room for the night, we were greeted with a surprise gift from Dawn, that was oh-so-beautiful and appreciated! I feel like I have so much more I could say about the Delta and Dawn especially, but this is me trying to keep it brief! One last thing I need to mention though is the food is SO GOOD! You can't go wrong with any of the options! OH, also, the getting ready room, should you choose to use it, has makeup stations, couches, a balcony overlooking the bay, and SO MUCH space! I definitely recommend reserving the Whitehurst Suite for your girls to get ready in! PLEASE CHOOSE THE DELTA!! You will never regret it!

The Delta Hotel was more than i imagined it would be. Working with Dawn was effortless! She made sure every detail was covered and personally watched over the details of the day! The venue was beautiful with views of the ocean that could not be beat! The staff that worked the party, from Kirsten the bartender, to Ron and Thomas who oversaw the banquets and details of the set up, clean up and food, they were all outstanding!! Details include a large bridal suite for the entire bridal party and friends and family to get ready and prepare for the special day. The wedding was beautiful and every moment was captured and will be remembered in such a special way due to the caring and helpful staff. The food was amazing and every guest ranted and raved over the delicious and generously portioned appetizers, salad, and plated dinner. I highly recommend this venue to anyone getting married. You will not be disappointed. Even after the venue, the hotel bar continued to serve our party well into the night and everyone was able to crash in one of the beautiful rooms at the hotel. Absolute perfection!

The Delta Bayfront Suites was the perfect venue for our wedding reception! We had our ceremony at an Orthodox church, but were still able to enjoy the beach vibe with the private deck for cocktail hour and Chesapeake Bay view. All of our guests from out of town loved staying at the hotel for several days before the event; it was the perfect vacation spot with morning walks on the beach and afternoon relaxation on the deck! Working with the staff at this venue (especially Dawn) will make you feel like you are right at home planning and executing your special day; truly an exceptional experience.

Absolutely, incredible place to get married and celebrate w/ your family & friends. Our beach ceremony overlooked the bay and was absolutely beautiful w/ the sunset. Our reception was shortly after in the sunset ball room which was exceptional. Every details was managed perfectly from the hotel staff and I want to give a huge shout out to Dawn Roberson as she was exceptional through out the entire process. We highly recommend booking your wedding/reception w/ Delta Marriott. They are exceptional and the hotel is absolutely gorgeous! Dawn was amazing! After 3 rescheduled dates they were so accommodating! She was attentive and made sure our day was amazing. The Venue and staff was outstanding and took good care of us and our guests! We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful wedding venue! Thanks so much for everything!

From the moment we met Lisa Hemphill and soon thereafter were introducted to Dawn Roberson, we knew after touring the "under construction" venue this would be the PERFECT setting for our dream beach wedding. From the initial visit to the wedding day, there wasn't a question asked that wasn't given complete attention and a thorough reply. The team is so experienced and professional, anticipating every need and always making us feel like we were their only customer. When we needed help, they were there to offer suggestions. The flexibility shown at every turn, from the room set up, the day of schedule, food and beverage, working closely with vendors, linens/prop rentals, etc. they were always so welcoming which was very appreciated. They worked closely with the bride to deliver her "vision" while also helping to closely manage the budget. The food service was award-winning too! Serving a party of 175 a perfectly plated, spectacular meal was very impressive and our guests were as delighted as we were. The hotel offers beautiful guest suites and amenities and everyone really enjoyed their stay. Overall, Dawn and Delta VB Bayside Suites made our wedding magical and absolutely everything we could have wished for!

We loved getting married at Delta Bayfront Suites!!! Everything was in such perfect proximity and was well planned. I loved working with Dawn because she was so flexible...even when I wasn't! She is very experienced and gave me security during this confusing time! Not to mention she walked us through the venue while it was just bones and really encouraged us to see the potential! We were very happy with choosing The Delta for our wedding. The entire hotel was very clean, we had amazing views for our ceremony, and the food and staff were excellent!

Beautiful venue that has been recently updated. There are many different options depending on the size of your wedding. You can have an indoor ceremony or one outdoor on their private beach. We had our reception in the Sunset Room which holds up to 170 people and overlooks the bay. Huge suite for the bridal party to get ready in. Amazing food. The staff, especially Dawn Roberson, was incredibly helpful and very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. We highly recommend this venue!!!

The Bayfront Suites is a beautiful venue for a wedding. My wife had always wanted a beach wedding and keeps describing our day as her dream wedding and that had so much to do with the gorgeous backdrop that we had. Everyone that helped with our day was so accommodating and understanding. They truly made our wedding unforgettable!

Dawn and the entire staff of the Delta were absolutely incredible while hosting our wedding on 11 June 2021. Everyone from Dawn, to the hotel staff, to the kitchen (incredible food for our wedding!!), to the wait staff and set up crew (our reception set up was beautiful), and anyone we have missed, were all inviting and accommodating to everyone attending! When our beach ceremony was looking like it was going to be rained out, we took a chance and went for it and the staff had no problem giving us everything we asked for. They even ensured that we (the bride and groom) were fed and kept our glasses full throughout our wedding day dispelling all the rumors we were warned of about not getting to eat, we were FULL!! It was everything we dreamed of and more and couldn't be more grateful!!

We loved that we were able to do everything on site.
We held our rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception at the hotel. And our guests were able to stay book rooms for the wedding night or the whole weekend

We booked Delta when they were getting a complete renovation from the studs up! Our first tour was in hardhats, visualizing what it would look like. From where it was to where it ended is absolutely amazing. It's a BRAND NEW hotel! From day one, Dawn made planning very easy. She guided us through the middle of a pandemic, calmly managed our expectations and neurosis (for things out of our control as a result of the pandemic), and kept things moving. We were lucky to be able to hold our Wedding at Delta Hotel and everything went as smoothly as you could dream! We got married on the beach, then had a cocktail hour on the deck while we were getting photos done. The reception followed in one of the beautiful halls. Beautiful venue with awesome views, fantastic food, and amazing staff! We're going to miss talking to Dawn - planning the wedding details at Delta was half of the fun!

Dawn and the rest of the Delta Bayfront team made our wedding day truly magical. They provided excellent service and professionalism through the entire process. When we found out there would be rain for our beach wedding they were quick to come up with an alternate solution. When I spilled red wine on my wedding dress they were there with the "wine out" to help clean me up. When we needed tactful instructions to guests during delicate situations, they stepped in. Delta superseded our expectations and ensured our day was PERFECT. We appreciate their flexibility, professionalism and follow through. Dawn and Jamar were simply AMAZING. I had zero wedding stress as a result, which is rare. The only thing I had to do was worry about the rain (as I attempted to have a beach ceremony) but Dawn made sure that the backup room was just as spectacular as the beach. I'm so grateful for the extra mile that Delta took to ensure our wedding was a DREAM COME TRUE. Thank you all.

I am a professional DJ and I work a few wedding events here every year and already have some lined up for next year. Before this year is over, I wanted to take the time and share with all review readers how grateful I am for the opportunity to be able to collaborate with such a great venue and the talented team that makes magic happen every time I am there. Virginia Beach Resort Hotel and Conference Center was our choice of venue. We researched online and decided that we liked what they were offering. The director of Sales is Cheryl Wolfe. She is an amazing woman who works harder than anyone I have ever seen. She is pleasant and patient. Cheryl is very knowledgeable of this job and most of all she has her heart into it. I admire how committed she is into making sure that all your wishes are met for your special day. She also has a wealth of guidance to give. We all know how important the Venue is to our wedding. There is always always so many questions in your head and so many ideas floating around . Cheryl certainly helps to calm your nerve and bring everything to life. During our planning and preparation period I met with her a few times and she was always so full of energy, ideas and all the patience that a bride seeks. Guys, she loves her job and demonstrates that by the service she provides. She is of course the main person you deal with but there is also other members of staff who play a role in bringing to life your special day. They all work as a team. Our wedding was beautiful and came at a very low cost. If your are looking for a venue that provides excellent service at a price that you can afford, then this is the place for u. U get a lot for your money and they make planning your event a breeze since this is an all inclusive wedding package. On their website have all the different packages that they offer. There are also pictures of previous weddings displaying some of what you can get. So go ahead and best of luck with your planning and the festivities of your big day!!!
