To say, without a doubt, that Derek is the best is an absolute understatement. I have waited years to book with Derek and it was worth the wait and then some. He captured our engagement and wedding photos so beautifully and artistically. They were so dreamy. Derek made that part of the wedding smooth and stress-free making our special day just that much more special. Thank you, Derek, for being so wonderful and giving us gorgeous photos that will last a lifetime. -

He is very creative! He knows exactly where and when to take the perfect photograph depending on the sunlight or even when indoors with the lighting. His pictures are unique and he captures even the smallest details! He is extremely talented, and his personality makes him enjoyable to work with! He captured me and my husbands wedding and we wouldn’t have anybody else! -

We're overwhelmed with all the compliments on how amazing our photos were. We had a very small wedding and it was important to us to be able to share our experience with friends and families. Derek was phenomenal to work with. Our wedding was amazing and we felt so comfortable and had a lot of fun taking photos with Derek! Thanks again for everything!

Charise Sent on 08/28/2013Working with Derek has been the most easy-going part of my wedding planning, wedding day and wrap up of wedding event. What set Derek apart from the other photography vendors in the Central Valley is the way he documents the day and the subjects in the picture. He uses light in a way that I've seen few photographers in his field do (I work in Arts Marketing and Theater Marketing in New York City), I've been lucky enough to have the best and brightest photographers at my disposal in NYC, hiring Derek I had the best in the Central Valley document my wedding through pictures alone.
I am currently looking through the images taken of my wedding and am having a difficult time selecting down to what I want in a very large album. This photography level is truly art, there were no staged moments in the entire process during the wedding. My husband and I enjoyed the process of working with Derek so much we are hoping he takes us up on shooting our NYC dinner reception.

What fun my husband, Derek and his charming assistant and I had shooting during a noontime spring day in Central Park, New York City. This day was the day I wanted from the beginning. From the intimate dinner group to the mountains of softly colored flowers and twinkling candlelight. Derek is a playful master of capturing light. I was thrilled with the results of the Central Park shoot, the capture of color and texture. There is so much to focus on and yet he framed the shots to flatter, capture the feelings that is much like a genie in a bottle. It's a tremendous challenge and yet he nailed it. This is why I contacted Derek over a year ago and still the photos are telling a story that I could not fully realize the moment it was all happening. You are a rockstar Derek. Thank You.
