Felicia has been incredible during my wedding planning process. Both keeping me on schedule, helping me curate incredible ideas for my big day and connecting me with vendors that are top quality and within my budget. She went above and beyond helping me get the WOW wedding I wanted but also within my budget. Her designs are sensational. She is a down to earth kind-hearted person that also made working with her very easy and stress free. I would hire her for every wedding, but hoping I only have 1!!Designs by Felicia Higdon's reply:

Felicia made it all possible!!
From the very beginning, Felicia was FANTASTIC. I had initially contacted another wedding coordinator but got turned off when the half-day fee quoted on her site kept creeping higher and higher and higher, without a satisfactory explanation. We finally decided that we had to go elsewhere. When I told Felicia about that experience, she promised right away that she'd provide everything we wanted, within our budget. Not only that, but we live in Virginia and weren't arriving in Hilton Head until 5 days before the wedding - so I had to trust her to pull it all together without meeting us or seeing the site in person until the day beforehand. And she delivered!! With her design experience, she was able to understand my vision for our day - from the ceremony to the flowers, food, cake, and photography - and make suggestions/provide options to enhance all of it. She was always available by phone, email, and text, and we exchanged pictures to make sure she knew exactly what I wanted (especially when it came to my bouquet and the floral arrangements!). When the Big Day came, she went above and beyond with the flowers, decor, set-up, and coordination during the event. Our guests loved her. She even surprised us with a beautiful set of Mr. and Mrs. champagne flutes for our toast - the one thing I'd forgotten to get! My husband honestly had no idea what to expect from a wedding and reception, but afterwards he said "I thought everything was perfect. I wouldn't have done anything differently!" and then proceeded to tell me details of Felicia's multi-faceted design background. He's not a "people person" and doesn't make conversation easily - so for him to have spent that much time talking to her, says SO MUCH about how open and genuine she is. We would ABSOLUTELY recommend her to anyone planning an event in the Low Country!!Designs by Felicia Higdon's reply:

Felicia was absolutely phenomenal to work with, to say the least! She helped take all of my stresses away while planning for my big day. She did so much more than I could have ever hoped she would do. Not only was she my planner, she was also taking on a florist role as well! She was so eager and excited to do this! I could tell that it meant a lot to her to make our special day as beautiful as it could possibly be! She made it very clear throughout the process that she would make sure that happened! She most definitely meant it! She made the most gorgeous table arrangements, and picked the most beautiful flowers to go with the colors of our wedding! The table arrangements were absolutely unforgettable, and it made me wish flowers stayed that way forever! I already had a florist helping with the wedding at the time. However, Felicia took what they already had, and added so much more to it! I cannot even begin to imagine how different things would have looked if she hadn’t expressed the excitement that she did to help us with our floral arrangements! She listened to everything I envisioned, and made it come to life in such an unreal way! She’s very reliable, and quick to respond! She’s great at communication, and you can definitely count on her to answer any questions that you could possibly have! She’s very knowledgeable in the wedding atmosphere! She will recommend things to you that you probably didn’t even think about yourself! That’s one of my favorite things about her! She has such incredible energy, and she’s a joy to be around! You can tell that she is passionate about what she does, and genuinely wants to help bring everything together! She put together the most gorgeous and phenomenal aisle decor for the ceremony! I could not have possibly imagined getting married without it there. She took all of my visions, and not only made them come to life, but she added things to them that she personally knew would go really well with everything and things she knew that we would love! She was great at communicating with my other vendors as well when needed! If you’re planning a wedding right now, and need help from someone who loves what they do, Felicia Higdon is without a doubt the person that you need by your side helping you plan your big day! Felicia was SUCH an amazing resource to have while planning a wedding. Covid pushed everything back, but she was there for me the entire time. My wedding ceremony took place in the botanical gardens, followed by a beautifully decorated reception at a separate location. She designed, organized, and executed a dream wedding. The communication was seamless and she really knew what she was doing. I absolutely recommend Felicia for your big day!!Designs by Felicia Higdon's reply:

Felicia was the perfect wedding designer and coordinator for my special day! She brought my exact wedding design dreams to life, from the beautifully landscaped aisle to the details in the table decor. My wedding was during the height of the pandemic and she coordinated and communicated effortlessly with the vendors we had. Felicia worked with my catering vendor to create an amazing dinner while also negotiating a lower price. I had my ceremony at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens which had strict restrictions on decorations (like no decorations that would puncture the grass and no real flower petals on the ground) and she was able to create an elegant, botanical aisle while complying with the restrictions. Felicia has an eye for design and that's why she's the perfect coordinator. Wherever my vendors lacked, she creatively made up for! My wedding reception was at the Thomas Jefferson Tower in downtown Birmingham. The ballroom has tall historic windows and a large chandelier, so my worry was that even with decor the room would still look empty. Felicia decorated with different height elements and extravagant table decor to make sure the room looked just perfect! Felicia and her team worked so hard and made the whole experience very enjoyable. I chose Felicia as my wedding designer because I felt that she really cared about making my vision come to life while also saving me money where she could. Felicia brought my exact wedding vision to life and provided the details and elegance I wanted. Felicia was an absolute joy to work with, and I would highly recommend her as a wedding designer and coordinator!Designs by Felicia Higdon's reply:

I wasn't going to write this review, but after seeing photos of my wedding appearing alongside someone else's "review" I felt the need to speak out.
Pros: Felicia delivered beautiful table scapes and florals for my April wedding in Hilton Head.
Cons: Felicia was incredibly challenging to work with. She was slow to respond (weeks without email responses) and full of excuses (deaths in the family, power outages, traveling for her birthday, emails getting buried because she does not use a professional email and uses her personal email. the list can go on and on) All I ever asked Felicia for from the beginning was communication and organization. Two things that should be very simple for a wedding planner. She pushed back several times when I requested a vision board of everything she was planning (pretty basic request if you ask me) as I was becoming doubtful that she was even working on my wedding. She would tell me she was "almost finished" yet I hadn't see any designs or provided input for months,
Felicia made herself available for our wedding rehearsal, which was a total disaster. It was as if she never even been involved in a rehearsal before. I had to take charge along with my bridesmaids and minster. Even my mother was unimpressed with the value Felicia brought that evening.
On the day of the wedding, I was so fed up with Felicia I appointed my bridesmaids to deal with her as to not pile on additional stressors. Felicia also had not hung my vocal point of our wedding design which was a neon sign you will see pictured in her sample photos. My 67 year old father was up on a ladder hanging the sign since Felicia could not handle it. Additionally, she started the wedding before I was even there. We had a small delay (10 minutes) as one of the bridesmaids could not find her bouquet. Instead of Felicia trying to find me and the bridesmaids, she started the wedding which caused the groom and groomsmen to stand at the front for 10 minutes alone while the musicians played "here comes the sun" on repeat. I later heard from guests that she was frantically looking for my mother (the mother of the bride), even though she had already sent her down the aisle.
~80% of the photos Felicia has posted to this page are from my wedding, which leads me to believe she has not done many weddings at all. Her lack of communication, organization, and clear deception with posting fake reviews has lead me to write this review and is why i would never recommend Felicia to a future Bride.
