There are no words. What a fantastic experience from day one! My then fiancé is a member and suggested the DAC for our intimate vintage styled wedding. It was beyond perfect. Every single one of our guests commented on how personable and kind the entire staff was, the food and beverages were absolutely top notch and the location is stunning. If you have the opportunity to get married here, jump at it. You will NOT be sorry!

The DAC is a phenomenal backdrop for a wedding day. We stayed in the hotel rooms, got ready in their suites, did the majority of our photos around the venue, and guests raved about the reading room for cocktails and ballroom for dinner and dancing. The service is top notch from start to finish, and the food and cake were incredible.

Thank you for being the most amazing venue we could have ever imagined hosting our rehearsal dinner & wedding!...Every single DAC staff member treated us and our guests like royalty, as if it were their own wedding. A big thanks you to our DAC Catering Director, Beth, for her attention to detail and all of her 24/7 help + guidance throughout the entire year leading up to the big day and day of, is still so very appreciated & recognized. The beauty and unique charm of the DAC is just the cherry on top when it comes to your all in one experience: from the impeccable food/catering/servers, planning, stunning cake design, to the guest rooms...the list goes on. Your professional & talented staff went above and beyond to make it a memorable experience for everyone, making us always feel special from day 1!...that is what truly makes you the best. We can't thank you enough!

A true 5 star across the board. The team at the DAC continue to be super accommodating. They were flexible with their menus. They were flexible with the bar packages. They were very responsive. The setting is beautiful. We are scheduled to get married there next year, but the planning and booking process has been a complete breeze I had to submit a review.

We had our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception at the Detroit Athletic Club and it was even better than we could have imagined.
The food is always 5 star and the service is impeccable. From day one the planning was spot on and we couldn't have asked for nicer people to work with!

I would recommend the club to anyone who wants a spectacular wedding event in Detroit!

Home run venue, top quality service, made wedding planning very easy. I worked with Beth as the coordinator and she was OUTSTANDING. The staff was amazing, and I received so many compliments on the upscale service/beautiful setting. I did the ceremony, reception, and after party bowling...(and even stayed in huge boutique hotel on location), and guests loved staying in one place. Highly recommend.

Anyone who has an opportunity to host a wedding or any event at the Detroit Athletic Club (DAC) should take advantage. Working with the DAC was beyond easy. They were extremely responsive and accommodating to my numerous questions and requests. The food was amazing! Our dinner choices were two of the better meals I have ever had let alone what you would expect at a wedding reception. The whole evening went perfect and all our guests gushed on how impressed they were with the facilities and service. Overall, we would highly recommend the DAC for your wedding for a stress free night to remember.

I don't know where to even begin with this review. From the first meeting I had with the planner to our wedding date, everything the DAC did was above and beyond my expectations. For example, when we went for our tasting, we sat in this wonderful room at a table that was perfectly set up to show us what the tables at our reception would look like. Each tasting dish was beautifully prepared and paired with a wine. To assist with our tasting, the DAC supplied stationary and pencils so that we could make note of what we liked/wanted to change. The attention to detail is what I think sets the DAC apart from other venues. At our reception, everything was perfect. I wouldn't change a thing. The food was delicious, the cake was amazing (we highly recommend the raspberry blanc torte!), and I can't keep track of the number of guests who pulled us aside to comment on how amazing the service/staff was. Plus, it's a historical Detroit landmark. You can't go wrong with the DAC!

Absolutely the best experience at the DAC. The Director of Catering is the absolute best to work with - everything was flawless, the food was fantastic, the cake delicious, the atmopshere was perfect. We're just sorry it was only one night. You do need a member to sponsor you, but would highly recommend this venue to anyone.
