  Incredible!

  Tia and Noella were absolutely phenomenal! The joy and spectacular energy here was amazing. I'm so glad my partner and I chose this venue. Just wow. 👌 👏

  Rodrigues Wedding 2022

  I had the most beautiful wedding day at Dickens!
  
  Our guest count was on the higher end and The team went above and beyond! We were even able to coordinate a surprise celebrity appearance! How lucky is that!
  
  I feel like Noella and Tia treated us like it was their personal wedding day. Every interaction with them felt like their heart was in it 110%. They made my stress absolutely disappear! My husband and I were the last ones out of the building. We were having an absolute blast. Thank you all!

  Most beautiful Historic Venue

  We booked our daughters wedding with The Dickens Opera House. The staff is incredible. Noella is very professional, attentive and accommodating. Our guests had nothing but praise for the friendly staff and the lovely atmosphere of the venue. Anthony is an incredible chef, the food was superb! I highly recommend anyone to trust them with their special event. My daughter says her wedding at The Dickens Opera House/Dickens Prime was everything she dreamed of. I can’t thank you enough Anthony and Noella!

  Amazing experience

  Our wedding reception was amazing! The food was so great, the service was impeccable, and Amelia did everything possible to make my day easy and memorable. They did all the set up and tear down, made sure everything was perfect, and even went the extra mile and put more food out later in the night for us. I would highly recommend Dickens Opera House for any event.

  Always willing to help and had plentiful experience to help us through our special day.

  During our time of working with the Dickens they were always willing to help out and all of the employees that were there helped us with every step. Their demeanor was always kind and ready to help. I never felt pressured to do something that I did not want to. Their staff was always willing to listen when we had questions or clarifications. Exceptional experience!

  We picked the Dickens Opera House because if it's unique setting and it was the party of the year! We could not have had better quality of food, to serve 150 guests is difficult and it was 5 star. The entire staff was very friendly and professional, especially Shawn the owner and Amelia the wedding coordinator. The lighting package and music program we picked was outstanding and our photographer did an outstanding job. The reverend we used was also outstanding. You can check with Amelia and she can let you know our vendors. If we had do do it over again we'd do it at the Dickens. We highly recommend everyone we used. Thank you again to the Dickens Staff!!

  Amelia was pivotal in making our wedding happen. She was very prompt in responding to my needs and was very courteous and kind to us before and during our wedding. I would definitely recommend her as a wedding planner if you're looking for one! She and Dickens took very good care of us for our wedding.

  They did an exceptional job on our wedding reception. From planning to the event, they created exactly what we wanted. The food was awesome and the staff were attentive and took care of all our needs. Our guests still comment about how much fun our reception was. Thank you! David and Maureen

  We had our wedding reception at the Dickens this past weekend 8/22 and could not have been happier! We booked it back in January specifically because we wanted to have our favorite band play, and because we already frequent The Dickens and wanted to have a local reception. Katie was SO great to work with - great attention to detail in helping us plan, always thinking of things we hadn't thought of yet so easy-going. Not your typical wedding planner, but far, far better! She was simply amazing! Countless guests told us it was the best wedding reception they have EVER been to and we have Katie James and The Dickens (and our fabulous band, Last Men on Earth) to thank for that.

She let us know exactly what was available and how we could craft our reception to our liking. The venue itself was amazing. We comfortably got 120 friends and family members into their seats, had absolutely delicious food, and received nothing but professional and friendly service throughout. The bar was a great value, and Katie's estimate of what our final total was going to be was almost perfect. We made a good number of changes along the way and they were happy to accommodate us, even creating an individual plate of food for my sister who has various dietary restrictions when everyone else was eating from the buffet.

  The Dickens Opera House was a fabulous fit for us as a couple. The venue has a unique, vintage feel to it while still being romantic and modern. We loved that we were able to have our ceremony and reception in one place and it was great being able to have the cocktail hour downstairs in the Tavern.
  
  Their banquet coordinator, Katie, did a FANTASTIC job throughout the entire planning process. She was very thorough and organized with every aspect, even the ones we hadn't thought of. She was very quick to respond to emails and phone calls which we greatly appreciated. I believe she goes above and beyond to please everyone she works with!
  
  We had approximately 210 guests and they were seated comfortably with room to move. The staff at the Tavern and the Opera House are absolutely amazing. We received so many compliments on their great service, friendliness and attentiveness. We also received many compliments on the food. We had a buffet and the main entrees were chicken and salmon and everything was to die for!

  Everyone kept saying that I would be stressed the closer our wedding got. It was the exact opposite. The dickens team were so helpful and gave us exactly what we wanted. The food was amazing and all of our decorations looked great. We didn’t have to do a single thing. I would redo my wedding here every day.

  My husband and I couldn't have wished for a more wonderful Wedding Day! The Opera House provided the perfect ambiance of classy meets casual. Katie & the staff were friendly & helpful & provided excellent customer service! You should definitely have your Wedding there!

  We had a few issues with the wedding planner not responding to emails and forgetting meetings. The wedding planner we started with was replaced before the big day and everything ran smoothly after that. The only issue we had on the big day was with the bar. We had paid for drinks for our guests and the bar tender was taking payment for drinks. Overall the day was fantastic, the staff was amazing and the venue was beautiful!

  We held our wedding and reception at the Dickens Opera House at the end of July. While the venue itselfwas beautiful, the customer service has left us less than satisfied. During our rehearsal dinner a few daysbefore the wedding, we noticed that the building's air conditioning was either not on or was not functioningproperly. With the hot temperatures outside, the inside of the building was quite uncomfortable. When we brought this up with the staff we were assured that it would be resolved prior to the day of the wedding.
  
  The day of our event, we showed up late morning to finish setting up and to get ready. We quickly noted that the venue was still too warm. The groomsmen ended up drenched in sweet just changing into their tuxes. Even worse, everyone had to constantly wipe away sweat throughout the whole ceremony.
  
  Once the reception started, many older guests left quickly due to the hot temperatures. Most people could only dance for a song or two before they became too hot. At the end of the evening we spoke with the staff to express our disappointment that the A/C issue had not been resolved as promised. We were told that they would speak with the ownership and get back to us.
  
  It has now been more than a month since the event and we have not been contacted, nor have they responded to any of our attempted methods to contact them. It's obvious that now that they have our payment they are no longer concerned with our customer satisfaction.
  
  A venue of this caliber should hold itself to higher standards. Inadequate temperature control during the hottest part of the year is unacceptable, but their complete lack of attempt to resolve the situation is even more disappointing. I'm sure many perfect events have been hosted here, but beware that if everything isn't perfect you aren't likely to get much help from them.
