It was our 50th Anniversary, and we didn't know what to expect. So we said anything goes. We had unexpected toasts and readings and a solo. Abe made them all feel accepted and introduced them. Our crowd loved the music, even though dancing was limited to just a few. Everyone was pleased, as were we. It was perfect. Thanks Abe -

Outstanding DJ Service for our June 2019 Wedding Reception
We highly recommend DJ Abe without hesitation. My wife and I live in New York City, and with the exception of an initial visit, planned our wedding and reception (held in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA), remotely.
We did extensive research and planning for all aspects of our (budget-conscious) wedding (~90 guests). Finding the right DJ for our reception (held at Point Vicente Interpretive Center) was a top priority. We received price quotes, and spoke to 6 other DJ companies / independent DJs. On balance, it was clear that the DJs were simply telling us what we wanted to hear, and that pricing was not as transparent as it initially seemed.
A number of the DJs we spoke to came across as "party pumpers," which was definitely not what we were looking for. We wanted to avoid as much of the traditional wedding hokeyness and pretension as possible. Just a few announcements, toasts, first dance... but then mostly just open dance (and not so much of the classic wedding dance songs and/or oldies).
Just when we were about to settle on one of the Long Beach / LA-area corporate-type DJ companies, we received a recommendation for DJ Abraham from a friend. It was instantly clear that DJ Abe was a perfect match for the style of reception we were hoping achieve. He was someone we trusted to be capable of reading the crowd, and able to guide the dance party with song selection and energy. Pricing was completely transparent and based on a lump sum (an initial deposit, and then the balance paid after the reception).
The planning process was super easy, and all of our questions were answered promptly. Abraham walked us through all of the steps for ensuring a great reception. After working together to come up with a schedule, we then sent DJ Abe (1) cocktail hour / dinner playlist, and (2) dance set playlists. He then took these suggestions and used them as the framework for sculpting the music selections throughout the event.
As for the actual reception, DJ Abe did an excellent job reading the crowd and selecting songs. We couldn’t have been more happy - everyone had a great time. The dance floor was active and full for the entire evening, and many guests went out of their way to comment on the quality of the service DJ Abe and his assistant Taylor provided. Thank you both! -

My husband and I were married this past May 2019. Abe was our dj for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. He was so awesome! He met with us in advance to get everything down perfect. He communicated well during the wedding and reception. He was on point with timing. He was friendly, kind, hillarious and an absolute pleasure to work with. He worked within our budget also and worked so hard to make all our dreams come true. Some of the music I picked out but a lot of the reception music and stuff he picked out because I had no clue what to play. He got people dancing at the reception and everyone had a blast. Best dj I’ve ever used. -

Abe (and his awesome wife/partner Taylor) DJ'ed our wedding and did an incredible job. Abe was professional, flexible and available- we met in person before the wedding and spoke on the phone several times to go over the planning. He made us feel so comfortable....and then the party! Abe's timing was perfect on everything, he took our music requests and interests and seamlessly blended them into the event, making our day feel special and individual. Once the dancing got started, it never stopped. The floor was packed for every song and we skipped our own cake cutting because we did not want to stop the dancing! We would happily work with Abe again and would recommend Abe and Taylor to anyone for any event! -

We hired DJ Abe for our wedding in Joshua Tree (Rimrock Ranch). The entire experience was so great! From the first meeting, he was super friendly and knowledgeable. Neither of us are huge music people but we wanted a good party with happy guests, lots of dancing and a very specific vibe. We were definitely high maintenance. However, Abe was so patient with us through out the wedding planning process. Lots of updates, reminders and helpful hints even though we were constantly overwhelmed by all the wedding details. We gave him a few songs for every portion of the wedding day and he chose the perfect playlist for every part of the wedding. We got a ton of compliments on the music at our wedding. Plus he was a great MC. My family is Chinese and had some hard to pronounce names but he was super prepared and did a great job. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ! -

Jonathan Sent on 09/13/2018DJ Abe was fantastic! He met with us before the wedding and was an all around great guy to work with. Truly passionate about what he does and was super knowledgeable and about different styles of music and genuinely wanted to make our wedding the best it could be.
He covered all parts of the ceremony for us and made us everything went off without a hitch. He read the crowd well and kept the music going and the dance floor full! He had a good pulse on the audience and really did a great job playing songs we had requested initially but also making sure to appeal to the wider audience as well to make sure everyone had a good time.
Having a good DJ was very important to my fiance and me so we were very particular about the DJ we wanted and the styles of music we wanted playing. Abe checked all the boxes for us and was a FANTASTIC DJ and MC for the night. We would definitely recommend him and would love to use him again for any future events we have! He's fantastic!
