  We rented music equipment from DJ Billy James. He is friendly and his rates are very reasonable. The equipment worked wonderfully and we had no problems with using it. The sound system suited our needs perfectly.

  Billy James is the best DJ that you could find! He is very energetic and professional, he is a top tier DJ at about half the cost. He kept everyone on the dance floor all night and can really feel a crowd. I wanted to do an announcement for my grandparents' anniversary, but they don't really dance. He kept at eye out, without me saying anything, and ran and grabbed my husband and I when he caught them dancing so that they really could stand in the spotlight. He really cares about getting everything right and isn't too over the top. He makes your reception amazing, but always from the sidelines, he doesn't try to be the center of attention. Book Billy James for an amazing wedding!!

  DJ Billy James was professional and very thorough. He made sure every detail was covered and had such a wide variety of music. My reception was a blast and i had so many compliments on the selection of music. People left the reception saying it was the best time they have ever had at a reception. I highly recommend DJ Billy James.

  DJ Billy James made our wedding reception a great success. We enjoyed his detailed planning packet which helped guide us through the process, as well as his online library which allowed us to browse and select from the vast collection of songs. The process was easy and fun. He was able to read the crowd and adapt to keep our guests entertained so we could enjoy our evening. DJ Billy James very easy to work with and exceeded all of our expectations.

  I thought Billy James did a very good job at out wedding. Everyone that was there said they had such a good time and said the music was one of the best parts. We had a last minute switch as to where the reception and the ceremony was, but he was able to accommodate us with wireless equipment and such which still made everything sound very nice. He was the one that we met with at first and he said he would be the one to do the wedding, which he was. Thank you for the wonderful music.

  Billy James did a great job at our wedding! He played a variety of music and really got everyone out there dancing and having a good time. We received many compliments from our family and friends on what a great job he did and how much fun they had. We would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a great DJ!

  Billy James is a very nice man and very good at communicating throughout the planning process. However, we were a little unhappy with the way the wedding turned out. He didn't do as good of a job as we would have hoped with getting a quieter crowd up and out dancing. He also called me by the wrong name 2 times which was a mistake because he called me by my friends name who he also did her wedding and she was there, but still. The crowd didn't know that and thought it was VERY unprofessional and a bit embarrassing. His prices are lower than other DJs we checked with so it is probably true when they say you get what you pay for.

  He was very professional and quick to respond. Also, I think he may have come and done our wedding in spite of being sick (my mom said she thought he was because of his voice, I had too many other things on my mind to notice it).
  
  There were a couple of problems. When we met with him we requested that he only let our best-man make a toast. On the wedding day, right after the best man made the toast he announced if anyone else wants to make a toast. Thankfully, nobody said anything disastrous, but this gave me a bit of a scare while it was going on.
  
  Also, he gave some papers we could fill out (on top of meeting with him and going through everything). I selected some party dances I was okay with doing, but on the wedding day he chose to do the ONLY party dance I did NOT want to do!
  
  In spite of these problems, I did feel it was important to him that we have a good time at our wedding. Perhaps he should have taken better notes and the consultation and looked closer at that form I filled out.
  
  We probably got what we paid for because this was a lower cost DJ than some of the other ones. He did show up and do his job after all, even though he is the only DJ in his company. I have heard of others having problems with DJs not showing who don't have a back-up. If we did go with one of the more expensive DJ companies, they might not really have listened to our needs any better and probably would not have the same DJ show up who did the consultation anyways.
